- There are so many things to love about the Yamaha 700 Tenere! Unfortunately, the exhaust is a bit of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation.
It looks and sounds amazing but it has a dark side. It's located low and wide and is mounted on a very long exhaust hanger that's welded to the subframe. When the bike is dropped on the right side, the mount can be bent which allows the muffler to be pushed into the side of the swingarm. If it is not bent back before being ridden, the aluminum swingarm gets chewed up by the steel muffler (see photo below). Adding insult to injury, if you bend the hanger enough times, it can crack at the subframe.
Having experienced the bent hanger and torn up swing arm personally, we came up with a new exhaust system the places the muffler up much higher and closer to the bike's centerline... out of harm's way. To achieve this, we had to make a new link pipe and a new bracket to shorten the very long stock muffler hanger which greatly reduces leverage it sees making it much less likely to be bent in a drop.
The kit includes:
-The 304 stainless, "Lobster-Back", link pipe is hand-crafted and TIG welded in our shop. We've added wire heel guards for both the rider and pillion.
-Our anodized CNC billet 6061 aluminum clamp. This mounting bracket is simple to install and reduces the hanger length (and leverage by about 50%). Patent Pending
-A stainless muffler with a carbon fibre end cap. This muffler is lightweight, durable, and sounds great! It includes a removable, "decibel killer", insert.
-All fasteners, springs, exhaust clamp, graphite seal, and Camel ADV decals.

-2.1kg/4.5lbs lighter than the stock muffler and link pipe
-Compatible with most pannier racks
-Easy to install with basic hand tools
-Pannier compatibility to be announced

Finally installed mine. The video was priceless. Only hang up was getting the exhaust bracket lined up for the bolt. Took some fettling. In the end, the exhaust sounds fabulous.
Just installed mine. The second best product I’ve bought. 1. Camel ADV Rear Brake fix. 2. Camel ADV High Rally Bend exhaust.

Just put mine on.. Outstanding Quality Amigo!! Wish I could do that kinda metal work and fab.. Solved my problem of not burning soft luggage w Adventure Spec side racks And does not melt right signal with your Camel Tail Tidy.. It’s like my T7 is wearing a Rolex..

Phenomenal product! You guys should create a small metal protrusion or cage for the exhaust that will protect the pipe during a fall
Odd question, but any reason you couldn't use the stock exhaust hanger with a Wings or other exhaust vs having to cut up the new hanger?
Much better muffler position than stock, nice to have options.
I guess you have to use a heat shield for the tail light. That's the only thing I hesitate with. I'd rather have the exhaust deflect away somewhere else. I'm just wondering if the idea of a deflector instead of a heat shield is a possiblity, or not practical.

I have heard from others that the bike should be re-tuned after a different exhaust system has been installed due to the engine feeling different back pressure. What are your thoughts regarding the bikes behavior after changing to the aftermarket system. Do you notice anything different with the bikes behavior such as fuel consumption, rough idle, etc
if you put the cut for the cabels on the underside, wouldnt it stay in place much easier if it where to get loose? Never the less, its awesome products! Really like em.
It is my understanding that you can't use the passenger pegs with the Enduro bend. Can they be left on with this high bend once the header is installed?
With this exhaust is it still possible to keep the passanger footpegs and get a passanger on the bike ? No heat problem ?

We should have the new tank brackets for the OEM tail here this week.
Do you think the EU led Yamaha indicators would clear the exhaust gases without the need for the cover plate ? They are 3” long from the camel tail tidy .
I’ll answer my own question....After a few weeks without the cover over the rear led indicators , no issues with heat from the exhaust 👍

Probably can save a step and not remove the metal sleeve from the rubber bushing if it is stuck
It came out in one piece. A bit of lubricant and it would go back into the new bracket without too much hassle.

Would love to see a solution for the oem Muffler or at least for the Akra so it's kind of legal in the EU because your exhaust isn't e-marked. And I don't like loud pipes either 😬
We're working on an EU certified muffler for the kit. The included muffler is not loud at all with the db killer installed.
True. If somebody would produce a kit to move oem pipes into that high position -> instant global success. How about that Camel ADV? any chance?
Best looking high exhaust. Do you still plan to try the Wings Muffler with you link pipe?
The issue is that 51mm is a pretty standard ID for muffler inlets so we made the link pipe that size... Wings is 50mm ID.
My link pipe turns a good bit more than this vid, i also get some water dripping from it… not sure what to do now, hope i didnt ruin my bike cutting the old exhaust mount for this.

The Rally and Enduro are the same install process.

It's not a tail tidy, it's the OEM plate holder.
Will the midpipe and bracket ever be sold as an individual kit? Can it be used with different mufflers?
It may happen in the future. At the moment, we're just selling complete kits.

Yes, the Rally Bend is compatible with the passenger pegs, the Enduro Bend isn't.

Suspension mods have no effect on the exhaust.
Does the included muffler have an approved spark arrester?

It is possible to install the OEM muffer with this kit?
The OEM muffler uses a small diameter welded on link pipe, it is not compatible with this kit.
Great job, congratulations. I would like to know the diameters of the silencer and of the curve connections. I would like to use my silencer (ffbyfresco mod. Dakar) because it is approved in Italy and also the Akrapovic racing head pipe. Tell me if it is possible.

The Rally bend kit comes with heat shields for the signals. The Enduro bend doesn't need them.
Thank you, does the heat shield go fine with the stock halogen indicators, and OEM LED lights?
It's a quality setup but, (there's always a But) engineering the box so you can use the original bracket so you dont have to start chopping the Bike would be better and more accessible to the average rider.
I believe they were having a problem with the OEM bracket snapping off and this kit was designed to bypass the bracket because it is prone to damage.
