    I found out you can fix the sqeak by putting the silencer baffle screw back in, even though the baffle is removed, my drz400sm aftermarket exhaust made the same sound with the baffle screw removed

    @j.g.a.talboom7984 Рік тому +1

    I'm not sure but I think the squeaking sound is produced by the hole of the screw that holds the baffle, try plugging it with something

    Saw you’ve got the Kriega boots at the back, have you tried the soft luggage with the exhaust?

      Yep. I’ve run the Kriega OS-12s on the OS-Base with no problems.

    I actually think that!! The Best solution it's simply the HP CORSE Hight exhaust !! Because it sort out very well the issue of hiting the swing arm !! Don't you think?

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  Рік тому

      HPCorse is a good option, but not available in NewZealand. The CamelADV option is similar to the HP Corse.

      With the HP you HAVE to move the indicators, so here in Australia that’ll get you around the $1500 mark once you’ve grabbed a Cymarc tail tidy. This Camel ADV exhaust you don’t have to use a tail tidy, so the price drops to $1000. Only Cymarc in the UK makes a tail tidy you don’t have to modify the indicator position, or use LED indicators

    Have you messed around with riding with and without the db killer? Just installed the same exhaust myself. I am not sure I like how loud the unsilenced exhaust is, but with the silencer in I feel an obvious decrease in power over stock or silenced. I like the unsilenced sound, but I also don't want to annoy my neighbors or anything. It probably isn't that loud, but it makes me worry just a bit.

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  2 роки тому

      I don’t notice a change in power with or without the silencer.
      Without it I feel it’s a bit loud and annoying. So I keep mine in most of the time.

    Nice little vid. im contiplating getting this...Do the blinkers get hot? With all the baffles installed, how does it compare to stock sound!

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  2 роки тому +2

      I haven't bothered installing the suppled head shield for the right hand rear indicator, as the muffler doesn't point directly at it as I thought it would.
      with no silencer installed its got a bit of a growl to it, but its not quite what I would call obnoxious. with the silencer installed, its only a little bit louder that factory.

    Thinking of buying just the Camel link pipe kit without the muffler. Partly to keep overall cost down but also to use a better quality muffler. Have you come across a good alternative available locally in NZ? Cheers

    • @MotoNZ

      Alternative mufflers?
      I haven't really looked to be honest. I'm happy with the Camel ADV unit.

    I always go baffle out. Idc what they say about "they wont hear you coming" its not about people hearing me coming up behind them, its to remind them im there when riding along side in traffic lol. Its for sitting at a light an doin a quick blip as it turns green to get the cars moving XD, an it turns heads all the time, people are always curious, some get annoyed but they are boring people anyways.

    Anyone using rackless soft luggage with this set-up? Will it melt soft luggage?

    • @MotoNZ

      We run Kriega OS-12 soft panniers and they're fine. the outside of the muffler gets warm, but can still put your hand on it without burning.

      Also, I don’t think this bike actually needs a tail tidy. It isn’t that ugly at the rear, and gives great mud protection

    • @MotoNZ
