After his Parademons captured several humans whose carried the scent of the third and final Mother Box, Steppenwolf informed DeSaad of his progress. DeSaad then ordered him to interrogate the prisoners for the Mother Box's location and kill them if they didn't tell him. Arriving at the underground tunnels, Steppenwolf interrogated the prisoners and learnt through the probe that they had been near the Mother Box. As he was about to use the probe on S.T.A.R. Labs director Silas Stone, he was attacked by Cyborg. He was also attacked by Wonder Woman, whom Steppenwolf mocked for being stronger than her sisters.
Zack Snyder's Justice League, often referred to as the "Snyder Cut", is the 2021 director's cut of the 2017 American superhero film Justice League. It presents Justice League, the fifth film of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and the sequel to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as director Zack Snyder intended it before he left the production. Like the theatrical release, Zack Snyder's Justice League follows the DC Comics Justice League. Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and the Flash (Ezra Miller), as they attempt to save the world from the catastrophic threat of Darkseid (Ray Porter), Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds), and their army of Parademons.
Justice League, released by Warner Bros. Pictures in 2017, suffered a difficult production. Its script underwent major changes before and during production between 2016 and 2017. In May 2017, Snyder stepped down during post-production due to personal issues, and Joss Whedon was hired to finish the film, completing it as an uncredited director. Whedon oversaw reshoots and other changes that incorporated a brighter tone and more humor, and reduced the runtime significantly in accordance with a mandate from Warner Bros.

Wonder woman could have beaten steppenwolf on her own but snyder wanted it to be superman. When you see her standing up to doomsday in batman v superman, snyder contradicts himself.

Maybe. You got to remember that *Doomsday* was a new born with no fighting experience. Steppenwolf is around 10,000 years old, whereas Wonderwoman is around 5,000 years old. He has a lot more combat experience and overall experience as well. She may-be more powerful but only slightly in this timeline.

@@Lowkenn_Edits Maybe doomsday has no combat experience but his power is way beyond steppenwolf. I think that makes up for the lack of technique.

@@jiroaguenel1098 True, but WonderWoman was only shown twice (I think) getting good hits onto Doomsday and he was only getting ever more powerful. Wonderwoman was able to achieve these hits because of Doomsday's lack of fighting. Now Steppenwolf is a trained veteran with 5,000 more years of experience then WonderWoman. So Doomsday would of been more powerful, but Steppenwolf still has the edge.
You can see in the movie that WonderWoman shows more power than Steppenwolf. When it comes to combat, no Steppenwolf is better. Because of the experience.

@@Lowkenn_Edits While that is true, Wonder Woman is a WAY better fighter than Superman, so she should have been handling the actual fighting while Supes was dealing with all the parademons.

For all of his issues Snyder understood exactly who Wonder Woman should be. Lines like that are exactly something comics!Diana would say and I love it so much in the movies.
