That checkmate was honestly up there with an en passant mate. King chilling with the queen in the center, and then the knight delivering mate from the corner of the board.

This was an excellent challenge. It involves the opponent without forcing Simp into any impossible situations. Watching 100 rated players try to fight an aggressive king is also a treat. More challenges like this please.

In the opening you moved your D pawn to allow a safe escape square for your king but if the opponent had moved his bishop to g5, forcing you to move your king, you would have blundered your queen. f6

Right in line with the queen’s knight. Leaping forward without a second thought, the battle’s only just begun but the queen lays fallen..
The bishop marches his sword right up to the knight’s throat and threatens his life.
Because of the prayers of the bishop, the black king is moved. He steps in front of his own bride and queen, marching straight into the heart of the battle.
The white bishop plunges further into the battlefield, leaving the enemy knight who killed his queen. Rushing to defend Edward against the march of the great king.
Again, the king steps forward, prompted by the bishop’s own prayers unbeknownst to him, coming face-to-face with Edward.
The white queen’s knight has seen enough, and he finally leaps into the battle as well.
The black queen’s knight leaps over the enemy infantry, landing right on top of Charlie, lining up his next attack on the white king, who steps right past it to counter with an attack of his own.
The queen’s knight redirects his attack to the corner of the battlefield, knocking out the siege tower and clearing the corner.
The white bishop abandons the center, darting over to stand by his new leader’s side. There’s officially two king’s bishops now.
The black king is moved once more by the prayers of the bishop and eliminates Edward, then marches straight into the dead center of battle. This causes poor David at his side to fall as well. The black queen claims the enemy queen’s knight in return, joining her husband at his right hand in the center of the desolated battlefield and threatening the life of the enemy king at the back of the battlefield in one fell swoop.
The white king steps to the side to hide behind his army, but to not avail. The queen’s knight hops into action, attacking the king with nowhere to go.
It’s all over.
Seriously, dude, your actors really deserve to start getting paid with this level of gripping storytelling.

100 rated chess but each childhood prayer might come true for each piece you blunder if you then win.
Chess simp has a very legit wish. Havint two D. for double penetration would be a valuable strategy.
After the battle for the middle of the board, the D file is usually open and with a long caste you can thrust with your rook. So if the board had two D files, one could thrust both Ds. at the same time and with a little back and fourth bring the game to a close very fast.

1:10 but opening the d7 square won't help you much - you'd still need to move the king (to the d7) but that would blunder your queen on d8.
so within the rules, d7 blunders your queen, but your opponent does not know about that.
I would have played f6 instead, if I was worried about the possible Bg5
