Just curious if you specifically know what your temp runs at? I have a scanner gauge and recently changed my thermostat. My mechanic said it burped but there could be air pockets in it still. Seems to be running hotter than before which was between 198-210F. Now it’s always 210-220f max

@@hegarty134 soo at idle after its warmed up im at 188.6 degrees F. When cruising around 40mph its 185 steady… so i would re burp the system use that tool i used and run your heat on max heat and rev the engine it will move the air around where ever it may be trapped these motors are not fun lol… also utilise the bleeder on that upper hose.

@@Jimmydoinstuff I actually misspoke. I was reading my scan gauge wrong and it’s actually the temp of the coolant. I’m not familiar if 200-220F is too high. Hard to find a straight answer.

@@hegarty134 wellll id argue where it is being read in relation to the cooling system and the engine. Like i wouldnt be too stressed if thats the temp inside fhe block but would be concerned if thats the reading in the radiator…

@@hegarty134 i think 220f in general is on the higher side of normal and would definitely go lower temp thermostat… they sell a “bypass”? Kit thats designed to be more efficient but im not familiar

You reckon if I try to remove the bottom hose assembly(small arm of the thermostat hose to the plastic bit that goes into water pump) using your technique of removing the inside of the right wheel area, would be possible without tearing down everything else? Mine has a slow leak at the 4 point connect(either at the plastic or the hoses) that I need to fix. Wdyt?
