I found that a lot of these guns were quite similar so it was difficult to choose their rankings - so a lot of you might disagree with me on these ones (a lot of them are personal preference).

Agree. I did some rounds with it these days and it was WAY better than i expected. That thing is a mad sleeper.
The m240b and m60e4 are my s tier. The m60e4 destroys everything at mid to long range. It's the most accurate heavy hitting automatic weapon in the game. It has no first shot recoil multiplier so tap firing is your best friend. Slap a stubby grip and the heavy barrel on and go to town. Definitely deserves s tier in my opinion.

On Locker/Metro:
MG4 with compensator, bipod, thermal-scope and as many smoke-grenades as possible.
The MG4 with thermal is king on those maps.

Weird tho that it ALWAYS was when my team was pushed back to base on the RU side.
In those scenarios i used this loadout with great success to cover hallways with constant fire and smoke to prevent enemies from pushing our team back even further.
Using this loadout from a defensive position to hold a chokepoint is clearly overpowered, but imho it is a totally justified kind of overpowered. There seriously are many players who again and again and again run into a completely smoke- and lead-filled hallway and then act mad salty when getting mowed down for the 10th time 🤣🤣🤣

the U-100 used to have 45+1 bullets in 1 mag and it looks like it would be more useful with it. it basically also has no recoil and is pretty accurate. i think you shouldn't be too harsh on the elon mushinegun.
You're definitely right. Some gun had to have the honour of E tier tho... the Elon was sacrificed rip. Which gun would you put in E tier?

The RPK-12
Better yet. The L86. Because it's not even an LMG
@@mileator The L86 is the fire support variant of the L85 rifle, it's classified a light support weapon/squad automatic weapon (LSW/SAW), so technically you're right it isn't an LMG, but for simple categorization reasons its totally fine calling it such. The role it serves in the British military is very close to an LMG. The similarly named L85 is an assault rifle so maybe thats the confusion here? But I agree in BF4 the L86 isn't a very good LMG.

Lsat is underrated. First shot is as precise as a DMR. So you can headshot enemies from 100m with a gun that has 100 Bullets.
It can't do anything else though.
But it is fun when people accuse you of being a cheater because you headshot them from distances and countersnipe them. With am LMG
My s tier is pkp and m240. High damage is key in bf4 when you have played it for as long as I have and you are accurate with tap fire. Those 2 and the scar H are my favourite weapons in the game.
What attachments do you you use?
@@beesechurger3545 on every lmg i use holo or some type of red dot, the 2x magnifier, suppressor or flash hider, and most importantly a bipod

@@46god i very much hope that i may consider myself a good enough player to not rely on laying down in some ditch and just holding down fire with my lmg in bipod mode.
Type 88 is great with long range heavy barrel and bipod.
Main snipers you should consider putting in high tiers:Jng-90,Srr-61,M98B,GOL Magnum and L115.

The MG4 is pure love! In real Life if was my Weapon as Fallschirmjäger (Bundeswehr) and i love This gun in BF4! So easy my S Tier LMG, with over 142K kills😆
M249 with a silencer, 400 rounds, 3 claymores, smoke or flairs, 1000 tickets, and Operation Locker. It's going to be a long afternoon.

Wanna hear a pro tip?
Look up and place 3 claymores without moving the mouse. They will be all inside 1 claymore and everytime when the enemy shoots them, only 1 explodes at a time and he will think the problem is solved and run into the second and third one. So funny everytime
I'm a somewhat new player to BF4 so this question may be silly to veterans but what exactly is one's job as a support player? Are you supposed to hang back, supply ammo and provide covering fire?
Are you the first person in the room, clearing out angles and corners? Like what is the playstyle for this role? Thank you.
Hey man good question. You pretty much nailed it, support players dig in and find good parts of the map to hold down while they suppress the enemy. And yeah pretty much always throwing out ammo any chance you get.
I wouldn't say they are always the first person in the room, the pdws and ARs are probably better for that. But if you like that play style you can ways take a shotgun or one of the higher fire rate lmgs like the AWS, M249 or Mg4

Ammo box spam, laying down covering fire, and if you can flank the enemy & caught them off guard, spray those bullets of freedom to their heads 😀😀

The U-100 MK5 has a particular thing that make's it special. It has the fastest bullet speed of all the guns you can get, even faster than snipers. So is more or less usable at longer ranges, specially in hardcore. (Still the worst lmg xd)

Не знаю, почему Type-88 никому не нравится. На мой взгляд это лучшее основное оружие для класса поддержки, так как этот ручной пулемет выполняет свою задачу (подавление огнем) просто замечательно. 200 патронов в коробке, очень хороший показатель стабильности и точности при использовании сошек и ЛЦУ. На карте locker я использую его в паноптикуме чтобы просто заблокировать своим огнем один из проходов. Ставлю на входе в башню Клеймор (прямо на дверном проёме внутри башни), ложу под себя ящик с патронами. Это очень хорошее оружие для подавления противника.
Подавление не так актуально в бф4, как в бф3, именно поэтому баланс сместился в сторону скорострелов вроде MG4, M249 и AWS, они просто позволяют эффективнее расправляться со всякими эйсами и аеками на ближней дистанции, грубо говоря тактика прорыва/контрпрорыва вражеской линии фронта - ключевая в бф4, которая обеспечит более значительный импакт для команды и кучу фрагов.
Лично я не считаю тип 88 плохим пулеметом, но даже скорострелы при должном скилле будут вариативнее, ибо тоже могут ложить до 6 пуль в одну точку на значительном расстоянии при хорошем проклике.
Сошки крайне спорная вещь, хоть на первый взгляд они и эффективны, в действительности АКТИВНЫЙ пулеметчик(не сошкоеб) может привнести намного больше пользы команде, т.к. пулемет с прикрытием идеально подходит для прорыва какого-нибудь коридора или комнаты засчет огромного боезапаса, а пулик с глушаком так вообще одно из самых грозных оружий для захода в тыл.

RPK-12 in D tier? I have it with stability as high as possible, suppressor and thermal scope. You can lock entire squads down with this setup.
Literally. And in gamemodes like obliberation, you can carry the team by yourself. Solid A tier for me.
Having just reviewed what i believe are the worst weapons, the U-100 brings very little to the table. As i play hardcore mode, it actually is pretty good. In hardcore mode, infantry only has 60 health.
Guess its just very easy to use for new players

the 249 was god teir, goto op metro, bipod with silencer and thermal and just wipe an entire server while you prone on the ground and never move just dumping rounds down range

Also yeah the PKP, MG4 and type 88 all have the same accuracy while standing, the type 88 just has lower recoil and lower fire rate
M249 best i love having 200 rounds of 556 and i can rush with it. it does everything well defensive and aggressive play style
M240B is S tier for the damage it can put on target, then mg4/m249, then AWS.
I wish he explained why some LMGs only have 100 and others have 200
This is because is the gun fires 5mm rounds then it will have 200 rounds (unless is the LSAT) and if it has 7mm it will have 100 rounds, the wannabe rifles in the class vary in magazine size
M240B is definitely S tier. My favorite MG from the game. That and the 60.
The thing I hate about the M60 is the front post of the iron sights is always there, so when you equip an optic you have this damn hunk of metal blocking the lower half of your FOV. Wish they fixed that, even if it may technically be accurate to its design.

The RPK-74 is something else idk is soo fcking good.
The game says that the RPK-74M has 24 damage instead of 30 and the MG4 has 800 fire-rate instead of what you said. SORRY.
Lsat d tier??? Uh no. Easily B/A tier. That gun is probably the single best tap-firing weapon in the entire game. If you want to run a support weapon with a magnified scope (and not bipoded like a pleb) that is the only viable option. It seriously has no recoil and great spread at range.
M60E4 is probably is better when tap firing. No first shot recoil multiplier, and high damage. It's basically a full auto dmr.
I disagree with the LSAT's low placement (everything else seems about right). I love the LSAT because I can actually hit enemies with it when I shoot at them.
I'm by no means a bad shot in general (aside from sniping) - when I'm using my go-to weapons (carbines and PDWs) at close to medium range, I'm able to get a good amount of kills, but when I'm using LMGs, I shoot like a drunk stormtrooper. Burst, full auto, tap firing; doesn't matter what I'm doing - I never hit a damn thing, and that's why I have an accuracy rating of ~11-13% with carbines as a whole versus 6.25% with the PKP (which is, as of this comment, my most-used LMG).
Enter the LSAT, which has a sluggish time to kill, but is very precise and controllable with minimal recoil. I'd rather have a slower gun that I can hit someone with, than a powerhouse of a gun that I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with.
I agree the LSAT is pretty good at what it does. Also, I'm a support main so my highest kill weapons are all LMGs, and I feel their accuracy is fine when you tap or burst fire, you must be holding the trigger down too long which will give you max spread very quickly. Honestly at medium to long range just tap fire as fast as you can and you shouldn't have a problem with accuracy.
Type 88 best lmg in the game. no i will not elaborate.

I believe in the final campaign mission, if you give the c4 to Irish you will unlock the m249. If you give it to Hannah you get the p90
İ don't know why but type 88 is my favorite. According to statistics, this gun should be bad. But this gun feels soo comfortable to me. Really ergonomic
Yeah its a beast, but I disagree on its bad statistics on paper, the stats really are average, but when they all come together in game it makes for a great fire support weapon.

What I find funny is how subjective your lists all are! Ive seen guys Mop and squad wipe for hours on end with some of your ABC and D listed weapons. I really think your lists though should have been reversed on your color choice. Starting with Green at the Top. S Teir. Your Go to's. down to E your red choices the ones that you wouldn't win at monopoly with. You know since the whole Green means Go and Red Means Stop thing is more common sense.
