You can say the same thing about Spitfire models, “why do we need another one?” Different manufacturing techniques and build applications make it interesting and challengeable. On a side note, no manufacturer to my knowledge has the option of the portside sliding glass window on the canopy of the 109. Well maybe one day.
Many thanks for your interest. At least the scale was unique. The main thing that annoyed me about this kit was the silly 'lucky dip' gimmick which it appears was discontinued on subsequent Border offerings. It was an enjoyable built, though. Best regards Peter F
Hello Cesar Thank you for your kind words! My kit did come with a pilot figure - very nicely moulded although I didn't use it - they don't all have one though. It depends on the 'luck of the draw', the rather silly gimmick that Border dreamt up add some novelty value to the kit. I don't know if they did this with the later kits like the Stuka. Hope you manage to get some sound eventually. Best regards Peter F
Thanks Peter, it’s in my stash, great tip about the cockpit masking after market item, I was tentative about cutting my own
Thanks Brad. Glad you found it useful.

This is one of the best reviews I've seen. Does it come with crew as well? Couldn't hear the video, I'll do it later tonight I was working

Border are a bit notorious for their basic and often inadequate instructions.
Hi Brett
Thanks for the message.
It was annoying about that issue with the instructions because otherwise it was a really enjoyable build.
