Something I love about Frieren, is how peaceful and relaxing it is. On my first watch, there were so many times I saw a scene and thought "DANGER" but they are really just walking around a forest or simply talking to someone, there is no danger. Just like the scene with Fern and the seed rats, she was not stealing. Frieren it's now my confort anime.
Oh man I totally agree with everything you said about the episode. One thing I love about the anime is the way that it's pace actually serves as a way of conveying how time passing feels like in a way. The story has so much sustance andso many themes and lessons, that I always have a difficult time when I try to put it all into words haha
I like how you delve into how as time goes by, the heroes and their deeds are slowly forgotten, or unrecognized. Something reactors often point out in their frustration is how nobody seems to recognize who Frieren is. All I can think of is how many statues that are standing now do people recognize? How many individuals they can pick out in photographs? Even among billions of people that are alive now that may have "general knowledge" of an individual who made their mark in history, there are billions more that don't. For my case, I'm also terrible at recognizing faces outside of certain context. I remember a super hero show says that "if you don't expect to see a super hero, then you don't see them." Even if they're maskless in broad daylight. I totally believe that too. When I see my best friends entering my business to buy things, it takes me a few seconds to register that they're my friends.
You'll hear me point it out a few times in future episodes, but in my defense, there aren't many white haired elves out there as far as I can tell. And I assume everyone knows the party that defeated the demon king.
yes, this is a special show. as the story advances we have so many of these moments that are lessons to take on life, it has, as you said, SO much soul in it. can't wait for you to get to know frieren better (and all the other characters! they also are so... * cheff kiss *) what is there to say? enjoy the journey! because even though this show started at the end of a journey, it also begins a new one.

Yeah it all went by so fast lmao, it also said southern, not central, its okay I get it straightened out
If anyone stays with Frieren, they will spend years searching for the proper explanation of what their soul feels!
