Don't bother with people who dislike what I do, it's their right. :) What you can do that will really help me is share / like & favorite. Clicking "like" and "favorite" make it easier for people to find me in UA-cam search results, and of course sharing is a great way to spread the rumor.
Thanks! Just type "barbershop" in Wikipedia, you'll learn all about it. In a nutshell, it's a vocal genre of jazz, sung a cappella, typically by 4 (male) voices. One of its characteristics is that the lead (= melodic line) is trapped in the harmony, between the high tenor, the low bass and the baritone, who fills in the chord. This style of music was very popular a century ago and still has strong following in many places around the world.
If you are interested in learning how to sing vocal harmonies for any song performed on my channel, I sell audio learning tracks (= the separate voices I recorded and put together to make this harmony). My email is in the video description below the video, if you'd like to place an order;
When I proposed to my wife I had the Disneyland Dapper Dans barbershop quartet serenade her with this song. They changed the "met her at the fountain" lyric to "at Disneyland I met her in the park", which was appropriate since I met my wife in Disneyland. Your rendition is perfect! I can't imagine how much planning you must do to have everything so perfect, looking at "each other", etc. You're truly an artist.
All these mentions of various classic WB cartoons and no Dover Boys mentioned? XD Anyway, this is awesome. This kind of stuff is probably hard enough with 4 people, but with one guy singing 4 parts at 4 different times? Dang. Nice work!
Thanks for the feedback. I used an existing SATB arrangement, which I sang TTBB by simply singing the Soprano line an octave lower and the Alto line as is, making it the harmonize above the melody. I don't know how to arrange for barbershop, I just sing what I find. I'd be happy to learn more about it and in particular how to correct these things you feel are missing. If you care to help, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks! Yeah I tend to swallow some consonants, in part because I'm mostly focused on vowels when I sing. Bear in mind I also edit out some mistakes, this isn't a real live recording. :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Do share my video if you can, it's a great way to support my music. You can also download this song for free, in exchange for a tweet. :)
Thank you for the kind words. If you wish to support my efforts, you can purchase my songs on BandCamp, it's what helps make all this possible. The link is in the video description, right below the video. Thanks :)
all your songs are so amazing, they have moved me greatly, and actually changed my belief in true music. God bless you for your talent and your gift you gave to us
Thanks! I live in France and barbershop isn't popular at all here. I actually quite enjoy singing from my living room, and I've had the opportunity to work on projects with talented & friendly folks from all over the world. Plus I enjoy the almost complete anonymity when I step outside. :)
This is the first time I've ever heard that song all the way through. I've heard it in cartoons when I was little and I've always liked it. This is a beautiful song
My pleasure! Thanks for sharing them when you can, it's a great way to support my work. :)

Gives me Tom and Jerry vibes
Oh... Wonder why the need to post it as a comment, I don't choose the ads.
This song reminded me of that scene from Tom & Jerry; Jerry comes out of the dollhouse wearing a doll's dress with a wig, and this song came up.
Yay, glad you stuck around to see it! :)
I hope you'll share my video with your friends!
Thank you for all your nice comments and especially for sharing this video if you liked it! :)

Sure, I'll do that. Not really sure it will sound that great though, the sound isn't nearly as rich when you whistle (no harmonics), but why not. :)
Thanks my friend! :)
Will you bake me an apple pie?
It's all in the video description.
