I can only imagine how runs will look once players know when and where to backstep optimally, I'm still just slapping my mouse keys and praying I end up where I need to
It's a bug that's present in older versions of the game, I believe 1.06 and below, where you can access unintended menus that preserve previously viewed choice prompts. The default state of this menu is to make a save, so you can use this to fall past a death plane, die and then make a save after you've passed it. This causes you to respawn underneath the death plane on negative health but you can continue to play the game. This also works for surviving otherwise lethal drops as long as you save close enough to the ground.
is it still possible to clear that jump from the hollow basin to the archives as a vampire in the game's current version? I know it's possible as shinobi but i couldnt make it as a vampire (I don't know if you're playing in the latest version so i'm just making sure) edit: after trying harder I can confirm it is possible
@@Aiviymatoc To be honest it's kinda fun, it adds an extra layer of challenge in finding good angles to line yourself up at to get a clear shot towards where you need to go.
@@YoshiTheyosh123 I don’t know why it happened but I always go for the hardest ending first when I play games and if you meet certain conditions you’re locked out of ending A. You’ll still have access to every other ending except that one.
I'm not entirely sure but I think it's the game failing to properly check if you have a certain item that opens those kinds of doors, so when you save, quit and reload in front of it, the door just opens.
@@LoggSmiddYT Yeah those doors are still bugging out even in the latest version. They would sometimes randomly open for me even if I didnt have the required items. It confused me a lot on my first playthrough.
It's been a while since I last touched Lunacid but IIRC it increases your XP gain which saves time on some level ups and lets you get much stronger, but it also buffs Crilall by adding 3000 health and passive regeneration so you end up losing time there as well.
Have you read the ingame users manual? Its fairly open ended, outside of the basic ending and the hints of other endings. How you progress is up to you, if ya want to unlock more areas tho buy the enchanted key at wings rest and use it near the "eye thing" thats big enough to be a door
floppy axe floppy axe
Truly the weapon of all time
Flacid axe
uwu axe
I love that this axe's block value is so bad due to the floppynes that you take 10x the damage when blocking hits with it lmao
Fun fact. It was thanks to a dev's Friend. Wambu. That the Axe of Harming even became a thing

I didnt know theyd let you right in if you choose vampire! thats really cool
OHHHH, that's why i've never heard that before. I should do a rerun with vampire now that i already got the secret with the undead.

Damn learning to play the game moving backwards must be rough gg
What is the menuing that you are doing when falling to avoid damage and load at the bottom? Is there a manual save feature I didn’t know exists?

Awesome!!!
Damn, going from 21 to 15 is a huge improvment, how did you save so much time?
Mainly through better map awareness, more confidence in performing tricks and a nearly 2 minute timesave found right before the final boss.

Good to hear you got it yourself! Your comment's inspired me to upload a video of the jump in case anyone else has the same question you do.
playing the entire game running in reverse looks absolutely miserable

Well now I know how to get the last achievement, ending A, since I missed it and locked myself out of it.

Nope. You need to view the vhs tape AND get every spell in the game.
