Quick note for anyone in my position of having watched the white VHS tape before 1.0 was released, you'll need to use the official save editor made by the dev to add an extra white VHS tape to your inventory, where you can then watch it again and get Ending E. _DO NOT_ use a regular text editor to edit your save, I saw multiple people saying with very strong terms that doing so can permanently corrupt your save.
I've been having a blast with this game! I got it after watching one of your gameplays, the eerie atmosphere is just something else. Keep up the good work!
I just wanted my copies to kill me for the video because it was "poetic." That's what I was going for, xD. But everyone else: you can use Corpse Transformation to insta-kill yourself out of there (or just quit the game.) Corpse Transformation is also useful for farming items (especially those ultra-rare Angel Feathers) because it's faster to just kill yourself with it than to warp out and then back into an area.
@@TheSchokoxx Angel Feathers are an extremely rare drop that you can get from only 1 enemy in the entire game: The jailor in the room with the window looking at the "angel" where Icarian Flight is obtained. They deal a large amount of damage to all enemies around you while also healing you. I'll be making another video that talks about some of this other stuff. Thank you! I'm glad they help.
I got lunacid after watching your rings video, and it's been a delightful experience so far. stopped being afraid after I defeated Sucsarius 😅. I'm not gonna watch this yet cause I'm partway through opening Abdul's door. Anyways, thanks for uploading, cause I've been having a lot of fun.
28:50 That boss fight is absolutely a Nier/Drakengard reference. The bells from each rhythm that needs to be hit, the music, the rings... Alllll of that.
I was about to buy this game, when a wild HumbleBundle set appeared with "Fungeon Crawlers"! I've noticed this game has several arts mixed up together that gives a nostalgy kick and an "aesthetic" vibe at the same time. There's a lot of anime and weaboos references, old school dungeon crawlers, PSX graphics, retro filters, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night References, like the Blessed Wind and Alucard himself as the vampire boss. Drakengard endings, esoteric references, it's like a salad well made. The first time experience doing a blind run is the best! Pretty immersive and thrilling. You feel and experience anxiety, vertigo, fear to dark, calmness, adrenaline.
I actually managed to cross the windy bridges without deactivating the hazard by having extremely high dexterity and using the Wind Dash spell mid-jump. It's cool that that is a viable way to do it too.
As a kid we had a JVC TV and once the first one died we got one from a friend that was a vhs combo, that thing was awesome. I'm not old, we just didn't splurge for a flat screen, we wouldn't have one if not for being gifted one to my Dad for Christmas. Plug and play video games with the AV connectors were my jam.
Ah the ignorance of youth. Too young to be aware that the vhs combo tvs were universally the really shitty ones. Whichever brand, that was how they sold their lowest quality tubes.
Yeahhh, I was working on getting through it pre-patch but then the patch came out during my attempts and I never looked back. It's not the type of challenge that really satisfies me. I look more for the challenges of something like Rain World or such. But, hey, you did it!
For some reason Demi has never appeared in Wing’s Rest after I got the “awaken the great one” ending in my original file. I dunno if it’s a glitch or I just fucked up somewhere. I’m making a third, post-launch file so maybe I’ll just have to do the dusty crystal orb and VHS stuff on that one
You can exp weapons on lupine skeletons in Terminus prison but malformed horse in Ballroom doesnt work Edit: They dissapear shortyl but Giant skeletons dont
Necroposting, but the Centaurs in the Labyrinth of Ash are suitable for upgrading weapons late game. It was a godsend for Death's Scythe and the Shadow Blade.
Ever heard of Drakengard? Its real final boss, the Queen-Beast, did something similar to the Sleeper, unleashing a song of destruction as its weapon in the form of black and white circles, which had to be deflected by your own.
hi, I need help! I killed Death and now I have his scythe but I can't enter the last boss's chamber! It's blocked by a spell, I don't know what to do and this doesn't come in any guide :(
Hello, if you still need help: you'll have to upgrade the scythe by levelling it up like other weapons and then bringing it to Wing's Rest to upgrade. Only then will you be allowed to fight the last boss.
So if you meet the conditions for ending E but haven't gotten the normal ending yet, you'll get the normal ending first and then if you get the ending again it'll be the E ending? Just trying to figure this out, I just updated Lunacid to 1.0 but I've already watched the white VHS and will probably collect all the magic rings before going for any of the endings.
No, unfortunately you will skip the main ending if you get all the magic rings and also have the VHS quest done. So try to skip a ring someplace before finishing the game.
No, unless you get all spells. You should be able to first get the normal ending, then get all spells and THEN get the ending associated with the VHS tapes. Though...there used to be some bugs that could happen when using a save from pre-1.0.
@@FuryForged i got it! I just did a second playthrough and got ending E. I'm gonna wait for the full moon to do the Gates of tartarus ending stuff, I don't wanna change the date on my computer for that. Your videos were a great help!
The community has debated this one a lot. This is how it triggered for me, no problem at all, but the developer has said that the only trigger is just staring at the water. Have you first gotten the main ending, just in case? Try looking in a slightly different spot. I didn't speed up or edit the video at that point, so it took exactly that long for it to trigger for me after stepping into the puddle.
@@FuryForged ive done every other ending but after standing in the water for ten minutes it still wont trigger, iv even tried to stand in hour exact spot with no luck so its just strange and the only achievement im missing
@@LumenMage-lj7zo That's unfortunate. Some people on the Discord have said that if you look at the wrong spot, it increases a timer that makes it take longer to trigger when you *are* looking in the right spot. A regular also said that they stood near the right wall and looked into the puddle...
Even the flying around a static target (but reversed) and the circles appearance looks extremely similar to Drakengard 1, that and the lettered endings makes it a bit too obvious
why do developers think people like things like Quick Time Events or forced rhythm games? (or like fly, boat, race, bolder whatever sections that do not fit the game)
I personally enjoy things like that, but I am a weirdo who enjoys Rain World, La-Mulana, Noita and other extremely obtuse games much more than literally anything else, haha
Ending E - Drakengard 1 & 3 memories unlocked :)
Oh yeah, and Drakengard final fights didn't allow to take any hits, so it was much worse.

For ending E, you could have also just cast Corpse Transformation. It is a quicker way out. Unless ofcourse you are already dead.

just tried it as undead.
the devs thought of everything
oh... Welp, i can't do some of the endings, because Death is Demi's friend. And i don't wanna make Demi sad.
She said the old death gave her the sytche, and the new death seemed more. Unfriendly.. so you're good to kill death

If being ocean phobic wasn't enough, I can't find the Jotunn, and man, the Sanguine Sea is an unsettling place.
Try entering the sanguine sea by turning back from le fanu crystal, then go little bit on the left, you should come by the jotunn
