    The first time I’ve ever felt pride and respect from my father was when an irate man had come up to our car and slammed his fist on our car window yelling and screaming cause he thought we cut him off. Instead of being upset and getting angry back my father calmly got out of the car and explained he didn’t see him if he had and let him know that his young kids were in the car and that he did not appreciate him speaking to him that way in front of his kids. The man changed faces real fast and apologized to my father. I honestly never felt more pride and respect for him than I did on that day😊

    I love how people think it takes two people to break up. No. It only takes one. It takes two to agree to be in a relationship (more if you’re poly), but only one to decide it’s time to call it on the relationship.
    And if you refuse to acknowledge that you’re being broken up with, that attitude is probably one of the reasons you’re being broken up with.

      @@iSheree Not sure why you think that. Yes, mutual break ups occur. And yes, I’ve had them.
      But if two people are dating and one wants to break up, they don’t need the permission of the other person to do so. You can’t force a person to stay in a relationship with you, unless you are threatening them. And that is a whole other toxic can of worms.

    Hopefully they saw the humor of the situation because of them rebuffing several peoples attempt to sit there led them to embracing the situation instead of being antagonistic about it.

    • @calamityjehn
      @calamityjehn 11 місяців тому +12

      @JocelynBondulous Nah fam, this is toxic as shit. Her reaction totally screams of someone comfortable with physical and emotional abusiveness. He probably did it public because if he did it in private who knows what nonsense she would say that he did to her, or what she would do. At least if it's public he has a chance, and all he's asking is for space. Any loving partner would be upset, sure, but that's not love in that interaction. And I say this as a woman who has experienced abuse. Because the abuser was my mom, and she did the same sort of nonsense to my dad. She called the cops on him, tried to say he choked and hit her, threw her down (never once, though she beat the crap out of him all the time in front of me). He always took the beatings because he never once wanted to ever show me that, and he stayed for me to try to give me a semblance of a full family, though I wish he had divorced even just for his sake because she was so terrible. He just didn't think he could win in court with the false accusations, the stigma against fathers as the primary parent, and he earned less then her at the time.
      This isn't to diminish the statistically much higher scale of male on female abuse, but just because one is worse then the other doesn't excuse it.

      That bartender has definitely seen shit go down and was ready to stop a brawl, and from her. It's best for other patrons to mind their business because sometimes the violence gets turned on them, but if staff need to jump to protect someone of any gender, they're probably going to do it before it goes to blows or the cops have to be called. My bil manages bars and yes, he does plenty of shifts as bartender. He's not a fighter, but if stuff is about to pop off he'll tell whoever it is that they need to calm down or leave, otherwise he's calling the cops. They can and will call the cops too. People who run bars don't get enough respect for handling the crazies and uninhibited.

    Our neighbor and the previous owners of our house were in a war over grass clippings. Apparently, the neighbor was cutting grass and some clippings came through the wood fence into previous owner's flowerbed... and all hell ensued.
    When we moved in, our neighbors always ignored us - even when we waved. About a year into living here, the husband had to ask my husband for access to our backyard because all the outside cable boxes for our block of the neighborhood are in the corner of our yard.
    They talked a little bit and we found out about the grass clipping saga... turns out they ignored us because they heard a rumor that previous owner's son bought the house. But we don't know the previous owners, never met them, and didn't even buy the house from them - we bought from an investment company they sold it too.
    So, now we're good, but it's weird to think that in their minds, we were the "enemy" for a whole year lol

I went in with the drink that only had one sip out of it and calmly explained it and after the look of shock faced they agreed nicely to remake it for me and it was a very chilled interaction. For one hour a day at least, three hours at best, between 3 AM and 5 AM, that is the only time Atlanta Traffic is in any way tolerable. The rest of the time, it is a nightmare, more so early morning, lunch time, and quitting time, and that is how I know that person is not lying.

    I encountered my first Karen in the wild yesterday at the grocery store, we both turned down the same lane of park spaces and she decided she wanted one close to the store so she just stopped waiting for this spot but the people who owned the car weren't even at their car, loading up groceries. So she was holding up me and several others for like 5 minutes. So I'm like, does she realize there's people waiting behind her? So I honked and inched around her and parked. I'm walking into the store with my kids and she's yelling at me from her car "Want to tell me why you honked at me you f-ing c word" I just laughed and said, you can't block everyone. So then she hunts me down in the store and gets my face screaming at me, I WISH I had pulled my phone out but I just said, I'm not doing this, don't want to get honked at don't block traffic. She kept following me and cussing me out until I walked up to security at the store, then she took off. I was wild, all that over a honk

    • @letitbe56
      @letitbe56 Рік тому +14

      Psychosis is when someone has broken from reality. They might be seeing or hearing things that aren’t there or believing things that aren’t true (eg if someone is hearing voices or believes the CIA is after them). I don’t think from the description that we can assume this woman is having a psychotic episode, but I agree she’s not fully in control-a meltdown might be the best word (that’s when someone is overwhelmed by a situation or their emotions and are no longer able to fully control themselves, often resulting in fight/flight behavior).
