Cheating on someone while claiming to love them is the ultimate form of disrespect. You don't love someone if you risk exposing them to STDs and heartbreak. Just disgusting.
Indeed. Possibly inflicting STDs on someone without consent (not that it’s a good idea with consent, if that was happening).
Especially when some STDs and STIs are *INCURABLE* if you want to risk it, go ahead but leave the one you "love" out of it, because it's not only screwing their love life over, it's screwing their mental and physical health over because they may end up being forced to deal with an incurable STI/D because of you not being able to keep yourself in your own pants.

Major kudos to the dad in that first story. Didn't even ask questions when his daughter said she was going after her cheating boyfriend, just grabbed the keys and said let's go. Also says a lot about their relationship that she felt comfortable enough to tell him exactly what was wrong and what she was doing about it.

I worked in an office years ago, where everyone was super nice. My boss and I got along professionally well. This was 30yrs ago, and for some reason ppl started calling me his "work wife". I shut that down fast!!! I know some ppl thought I was uptight, but I didn't care. I had a husband, so I was someone's wife. And that whole "work wife" thing is just wrong.

My most recent ex had a “work wife” and I hated it simply because the man didn’t ever wanna call me his wife or future wife. He proposed to me and we were engaged for years, NEVER talked about us ever getting married but he has a freaking work wife?! I’ll never approve of that phrase EVER because it’s just gross and weird.

I hate the work wife/husband thing. Every time people labeled each other like that at any job I've worked at, it's been messy. My ex co-worker did this to my bf when he was temporarily helping out the store. I told her that that phrase was inappropriate and that she crossed a boundary. She then huffed and puffed, talking about how she's a married woman with kids. Like I'm supposed to give a fuck and believe that would be enough to keep her slimy ass away from my boyfriend. She then told me my boundaries were "laughable".
Tl;dr- Be weary around people who enthusiastically use these terms at any job your work. 9/10, they slimy.
I'm a SWer and i have a "work wife" Ive been using this term for over 10 years. Im AMAZED this crossed into the civilian work world. Its just the wrong space for it. Work Wife refers to a worker you "work" with So like the worker you'll do "doubles" with. Context matters. In a Civie space this just translates to "work mate i'd like to fuck" and thats just fucking wrong, esepecially if those people have partners.

Fun fact is that it's called the emergency alert system. Amber's alerts are the categories for missing children that ring under an emergency alert. A huge misconception is that they are just simply amber alerts. Even though it's most often used for that. Never ignore an emergency alert because it could be any type of disaster being reported or an amber alert under the emergency alert system, and if it's a weather disaster, you may need to seek shelter immediately. For example, sudden and deadly squalls that form out of no where.

I feel like it’s almost a super power from the women that can not cry when they are angry. I have so many emotions on a normal day, to hold their own against such a trash situation and not cry at the same time. I am SO over the “work wife” “work husband” terms. It gives me the ick because to me that implies that they have a “relationship” dynamic where they spend time together, they have great chemistry, and open communication where they can share anything with each other. That is not ok.

In my experience, work husband/wife is only gross if it's made gross. I had a lovely, platonic work spouse relationship for a few years while I was in college. Im a female that lacks in the relationship/dating pool, my cousin told me that if a guy has more than one girl, he will use the terms "babe/baby" in order to not mix their names.
Yeah, there are exceptions, but that is what is commonly used in the dating pool.

@@bonafidehomicide5742 I can’t say I haven’t 🤭 But I grew up in a tight knit NYC neighborhood where generations of everyone knew everyone else and outsiders weren’t invited into our establishments. So it was someone that I was already starting to flirt with and see casually. Not like going home with some stranger at the end of a drunken night, that shit is far too dangerous. I’m not sure why anyone would be insane enough to risk their safety that way.
We’d sometimes go out to bars outside of our little neighborhood area and watch those people like animals at a zoo. Sometimes we’d even make bets on who was leaving with who 🤣 But we also made sure if a girl was too drunk, whether we knew her personally or not, wasn’t being dragged out of the bar under the guise of some creep promising to make sure she got home alright. We’d pretend to be her friend, pull her away form the creep trying to guide her drunken self out the door and keep her with us until the creep left, then we’d walk her out to grab her own cab home. Sometimes they fought us, because we were also strangers but strangers pretending to know her, and we’d just excuse it to the creep as her just being too drunk to realize she came there with us. Many though understood and immediately played along, thankful for us watching out for her. We did that too many times to count. We proudly made ourselves cockblockers for creeps trying to take advantage of girls who couldn’t possibly consent because they were totally footless and highly inebriated🤷🏻♀️ I can’t say I regret a thing! ♥️

The second story about the Amber Alert.. I doubt there would’ve been a marriage; as soon as he was set up with the new girl she would’ve been ghosted out of the blue. I've heard of Amber Alerts exposing peoples hidden cell phones, they have them on silent or whatever thinking their safe and then an Amber Alert goes off and regardless of your volume settings on your phone, your phone will still make noise in the event of an emergency.
I was a work wife - the guy's a really good friend, to the extent I was one of the first people that met his girlfriend (now wife), used to stay over after nights out and went to their wedding. Only problem was we had really REALLY close surnames (a couple of characters different). Our senior client liaison had a bad habit of mixing them together then covered up HIS mistake by announcing to his boss that we were a couple. His actual wife thought it hilarious given we behave, even now, like awful siblings

It's got to be some kind of serious insecurity or personality disorder. Like they enjoy fooling people and stringing them along. Maybe it makes them feel powerful or smarter or more desirable.
Former friend didnt want to be alone. So she always caught the next fish before she ghosted the old one. When I went no contact she had three boyfriends, no1 was oblivious, no2 knew about 1, I dont know what no3 knew. She was like "I cant decide which one I want to keep".

That is why I don't have that kind of lifestyle, drinking and going to crazy parties and getting drunk, was never something I wanted. I always say I don't want to be out of control of my environment.
Yeah, I prefer to be sober and aware instead of drunk and out of it. I’m on medication anyway that would require speaking to a doctor before drinking alcohol. But I choose not to.
