The lyrics of this song is amazing! The live version always sounds kinda weird but if you want you can listen to a studio version and it's that much better in it. The emotions really come through that! Loved this song since my school days!
Agnik Halder well I think that was more a rehearsal version than a live version. I've seen bring me the horizon a few years ago and the sound was way more smooth and similar to the album version. (might be because they use half paybacks even of the main vocals)
The problem with this song is that Oli cant sing it correctly in the past Jona needed to help him to sing the most of the lyrics ....thats the reason why this song is never on their setlist.
Good classic BMTH but really should check out "Doomed" live at Royal Albert Hall, you'll have a good sense of their evolution after that. Appreciate you two!
I'll never forget the night Chris Cornell took his life...I had SO much liquor that night. And it wasn't a nice drunk...there was tension, anger, and frustration... I remember thinking to myself that night; "This night feels off, it just doesn't seem right...something negative is happening/happened in the world" The following morning...i found out Chris took his own life. 💔 It really stuck out to me...at the end of the day, we need to lay out heads to rest. Tomorrow has so much to offer. I pray for those who dont have the desire for tomorrow. Please please look forward to it!!! Music keeps me alive. 🙌 Keep up the great work Vin&Sori!!!🤘 Mastodon - Roots Remain!!!!!!!!!!!
The Underground Metal Elitist I'm doing good man, just hanging in there! 😎 And yeah dude Mastodon is pretty awesome! Some of the best drum tracks in modern metal!!!! ✊ Take care Chris! 🤘🤘
J Proffitt Hope so😅 even the band Name😄 In a 2016 interview, they explained "We wanted the song names and band name to be as completely over-the-top as our music..." 😅
The members of bmth have personally dealt with suicide of the one's they love too, their sophomore album "Suicide season" deals quite heavily with the subject of a friend they once knew who committed suicide, and the singer oli sykes himself has struggled with depression most of his life, He would definitely relate to your story connected to the song vin.
I was gonna request it for the 70th time, but i'll just upvote this, maybe now they'll actually do it.... can they say no to an orphan? A Bald orphan?!
Wow this reaction was so incredibly deep! I first listened to this song maybe about 7 years ago, but never really paid attention to the meaning until now. This may have just become my favourite song by them. Keep it up guys!
You guys need to react to hospital for souls by Bring Me the Horizon it actually the only song I like from them and you guys will appreciate the message in the song
You're review of this song really hit me. It's crazy coz I just mentioned in the debate the other day that someone very close to me committed suicide. I know all too well what it's like to be on the surviving end of this. I've never heard this song but it's some really deep stuff. Thank you for sharing vin. This stuffs always hard to talk about. I'm sorry for your hurt. Sending you my love and best wishes guy's. Much love
SEPTICFLESH! SEPTICFLESH! SEPTICFLESH! Portrait of a headless man (official video) Vampire from Nazareth Prometheus Anubis Virtues of the beast Sangreal Martyr Persepolis PLEASE!
Those "coincidences," etc is your intuition and the universe talking to you. Oli, the singer, had been addicted to Ketamine and had gotten really depressed. He got to a point where he didn't want to live. A lot of their music has dealt with these topics. It's been cool to experience the evolution of their music and of their lives in general. To see Oli get through his addiction, learn about having ADHD and how to treat it, and get through a nasty divorce to find happiness has been really cool. They've always been true to who they are and what they go through and I respect them so much. Their music has helped me a LOT and therefor means a helluva lot to me too. You should definitely check out more. I just got "Can You Feel My Heart" and an anatomical heart tattooed on my ribs.
Suicide Season by Bring Me The Horizon has a really dark and Sad meaning it will Be interesting to see both of you points of view...!!! Love the videos btw
Now knowing Vin's experience with that tragic turn of events, (I'm sincerely sorry, Vin. I can't imagine your pain) I think the song suicide season by this band might hold a deep meaning to it for you, not to mention the song itself is very good. I'd love to see you two react to it!
I love your guys' channel. Thank you both for actually breaking down lyrics and relating things to real events rather than just bobbing your head along and simply saying "I liked this". I'm sorry about what you went through Vin, that's crazy and I can't imagine how that must have felt. I'm interested to see what you two have to say about King 810's song "Alpha and Omega". It used a lot of religious imagery and metapohor and I'm curious of your all's interpretation of it.
I did this, I kept losing relationships and friends and just made up my mind to take the time to find out what it was that I liked. The idea was to be completely self-reliant. I surrounded myself with hobbies and things I enjoyed to the point that I never get bored. I have had times where I have allowed people in, but most of my friends are work friends and I have no social life outside of that and church. When I found out I had cancer, I actually lost some friends that did not know how to deal with it. So i'm kind of back at the same spot after letting people in again. So I understand that concept. You just want to protect yourself from being hurt by surrounding yourself with distractions.
seeing vins reaction during the song, I was already typing my reply of some other songs i think are much better by this band (as a chance of redemption for one of my favorite bands) but after hearing what happened, damn just speechless. So with that, if you guys enjoyed BMTH you should check out Blessthefall- Walk on water.
Close Your Eyes - Keep the Lights On and Song for the Broken NOFX - Generation Z and You Will Lose Faith Avenged Sevenfold - Demons, Tension and Until the End Stick to Your Guns - Amber, Better Ash than Dust, the Better Days Before Me and 3 Feet from Peace
I was just talking to a coworker today about how music has such a strong influence of the mind. You can listen to a song during a difficult time in life, or a beautiful time in life.....and years and years later, that song may come on, and IMMEDIATELY your mind relates that song to whatever that event may have been. Crazy stuff. I’m sorry to hear about the memory that this song brings back Vin. I agree with Sori, I’m surprised you were able to sit through it all over again while on camera and all that went into this video.
Man, I have a thousand words for this video. I had always known about this band but wasn’t AWARE of the power this band has until I saw them live & as you can imagine that’s a pretty insane experience to hear their best songs live for the first time. Long story short, this band will almost never disappoint you. Count Your Blessings is a grey area lol
As above so below. As without so within. We each are a microcosm of the entire universe. Everything outside of us exits within us as well, whether consciously or unconsciously.
Hello again. Here to request Thieves by Ministry. I'm sure you have a super long list of requests so I'm just going to add this to your list and keep bugging the crap out of you until you play it 😜. Great choice with Heaven and Hell by Sabbath by the way. As a true rocker/metalhead , I can tell you that song is iconic and might be one of the greatest rock songs ever. Also, Immortal Corrupter by GWAR is another you should consider. It's iconic amongst old-school metal heads. Keep doing your thing guys. Much love and respect. Peace from Philly ✌
The Underground Metal Elitist hell yeah that’s awesome man! like i commented on another video i love all Acid Bath and most of what Dax did after the band broke up. very talented artist imo
The Underground Metal Elitist damn that’s a long time, i’m only 21 so i was late to the game i guess lol but they definitely helped me get into metal. i’m probably not as much of a dedicated fan as you are but the debut album and Iowa really hold a special place in my heart.
I used to listen to angra in highschool and they were amazing.... but then I stopped following them for no particular reason.... it’s hard to imagine one of those guitarist going into megadeth.... vin and sori should definitely check out angra
I like how theirs bmth haters here saying they cant stand their music, WHY TF ARE U WATCHING A BMTH REACTION,, Crucify me is absolutely beautiful imo, I love all their music
I was raised catholic and every mass there would be a prayer for the recently deceased. In filipino and mexican cultures there is also day of the dead. I know people who hold prayer sessions for the recently deceased especially for infants to hopefully keep them out of purgatory
Bring Me The Horizon has really progressed over the years. I remember seeing an album cover for their first album and thought it looks and didn't pay attention after. Ice Nine Kills is definitely a band you have to listen too! They have a really unique feel to their music and a lot of their music involves famous litterature or movies. A lot based on horror movies. You guys should check it out! Spencers voice is something amazing.
now throne by bring me the horizon , is THE song for them , i dont listen to everything by them , but throne is just SUCH a stand up and fight for what you want song that i love it , you guys might like that one as well :)
I’d love to see you guys do a Staind song...That band was huge in my life when I was younger, Aaron Lewis’ lyrics could hit home with almost anyone at some point in someone’s life...I recommend doing either Home or Fade, those are two of my favorites...Or Outside live with Fred Durst, he made that song up on stage during that performance, all he had was the chorus, the rest he just winged it, and luckily there were professional cameras there to catch it live and it was released on MTV...
To set the record straighter...there is no definitive evidence Oli wrecked his voice or anything like that. He had laryngitis in 2016 and it seems that's when the rumors started. His singing and vocal change had to do with his kicking his drug addiction and not wanting to scream anymore. This was leading into the sempiternal album.
Hospital for Souls or Suicide season by Bring me the horizon
Bring Me The Horizon - It Never Ends
Architects - Doomsday or The Amity Affliction - Pittsburgh. Would be awesome to see you guys reacting to those songs :)
