Ok I was just about to ask this. If Gman and The Lion have met yet. How long has it been now since Guilliman came back? 4 or 5 years now? How about for The Lion? 1 or 2? Canonically you'd think that would be priority number one for them both.
Lets remember Azraels reaction to seeing the Lion's non verbal command to save Dante after he fell to Angron. The Lion would do anything to keep Sanginius's heir alive, and Azrael would do anything to repay the dept to the Blood Angels for reuniting the Dark Angels with their Primarch.
It always stuck with me in this interaction how concerned the Lion was with dante thinking he was an imposter and trying to kill him. Like he's so scarred from the heresy that he's still worried about civil war.
You think he have learn his lesson by now. Even Roboute "asked" him to remove the helmet as he no longer need to hide in sanguinius image(I suspect he is also disturbed and angry but respected Dante too much to be direct with him thus the diplomatic approach ) . Unless, it is intentional to see if he is really the Lion by his reaction.
The survival guilt of the Lion is higher than I ever thought it would be for one known to be stone faced, emotionless, and unfeeling as a warrior. He loved Sanguinious. Even RawButt Girlyman didn’t have such a reaction when seeing Dante.
I think part of that could've been because of Guilliman basically having stuck around for longer in the setting than Johnson did. Cause I mean, Johnson did basically vanish on a planet at some point, but Guilliman wound up fighting the other primarchs at some point, until he was stabbed by Mortarion of course.
I think the reason why Gorrilaman didn’t react as strong was because he likely had reports detailing Dante and his many, many accomplishments over the course of his 1500 years of loyal servitude. He likely knew why Dante wore his gene father’s face well before hand. If the Lion had known about Dante and why he wore Sanguinius’s face, he would’ve been far more understanding during their initial meeting.
Mortarion did not hate Sanguinius. Mortarion was and is till this day and hypocrite. Mortarion claimed not to be jealous of Horus or Sanguinius, or any other brother. But he was jealous to the bone. He hate/love the emperor. And he was jealous of anyone who have the "love" of the emperor.
@@sbeaber All love Horus, (not Corvus for obvious reason, Horus was a dick to him) Horus was a charismatic weasel greaseball (but bald). He was deeply insecure, you can see that every time the emperor found a new son/primarch. He always try to hard to be the prodigal son, few see the cracks.
Mortarion is the biggest cunt among the primarches, so his hypocrisy is unsurprising. He's the only one who didn't need much of a push by weird brain implants, corrupted knives, mental fatigue/overworking a job they hate, or get boned by fucking Erebus to turn traitor.
Both mortarion and khan had the same daddy issues. Resentment. The emperor killed the necromancer lord on mortorions planet, then sent to the outskirts. Khan brought from the outskirts to.terra where he was the last returning son , so no, nothing exciting for terra. And then left to the outskirts again. Add the fact that khan literally is engineered to question everything, he resents the "imperal truth". Mort and khan have epic show down at siege of Terra.
The Lion may know Gman, he may know Dorne, but he loved Sangy. He talked him down during Secundus. Dante, favored son of the angel might have honestly decked him if the Lion tried it though.
It's been 10k years, and I'm still like this (hand see-sawing) about whether or not to trust the Lion. He'll never turn traitor, but will he now play nice with others? We'll have to see.
You have to remember before the Lion disappeared, he was closed off and arrogant, even with his own sons. He was unmatched in martial skill and fleet power and his father showed him special treatment and trust. The only reason he wasn't war master was because he lacked social and political qualities required to rule his brothers. If you believe the emperor brought him back like I do(I think Vulcan made his armour and sword too) then it makes sense that he brought him back weaker, to humble him, he came back to nothing but a very old and wise fallen Dark angel, he was forced to interact with humans and live and sleep with them. Through the trials of his return he found his humanity, the humanity the emperor failed to give him when he walked amongst them. I didn't like the idea of an older, weaker Lion. But after the book I absolutely love the idea, he's so much better for it. When he reunites with Roboute he will be far too relieved and appreciative to have any serious clashes. Roboute will be happy to share the weight of his burdens responsibility, at the moment he carries the imperium on his shoulders. I can't waitn
Personally, I’m still unsure if the Lion’s weakness truly comes from his age. Seems just as likely that it was because he was in a comatose state in the warp for over 10,000 years, and that what would fix it would be some more exercise, but only exercise worthy of a demigod would be able to fix it
Can’t really blame the lion. Never trusted anyone but himself and the emperor. Half his brothers end up traitor, it only stands to reason that anxiety over the rest of his brothers being traitor too would drive anyone else insane.
hey mate, would you do more chaos videos? maybe videos about assassins etc. I love 40k lore man and i like the format you use, would be great to see some of that from you.
No it was 2 legions providing an opening to allow a third to get through. Remember Hawkboy knew how he was going to die for years and knew HE had to be the one to make it to Terra
Would Love to see art of the lion, guilliman, and dante standing together, with a faint silouette behind dante of sanguinius. Saving the imperium together again.
I know this would be out of character for The Lion, but I want his first interaction with Guilliman to be an embrace. Not a warriors handshake but a full on emotional hug. But lets face it, it's more likely to be Marty and Alex reunion, complete with Sugar Honey Iced Tea.
The Lion: "Hey bro's, can I sleep on your couch tonight?" Sanguinious: "Sure bro, please clean my fridge, and what ever you do; don't piss in it haha." The Lion: "Haha." Later that day... The Lion: "Wow, this fridge is filfthy... you know what would make cleaning it a lot easier? IF I PISSED IN IT!" *curb your enthusiasm music plays*

Love the lore! You really have to watch on 1.5 speed though. It feels like you are talking slow and repeating parts of the story to make the video longer.
There probably wasn't a loyalist Primarch that would have been at the edge of falling so long as the Lion during the Heresy. Just waiting a nudge in the right place at the right time, one that never came. Chaos missing opportunity after opportunity to manipulate the events.
I kinda felt like that was click bait. Dante and the Lion. I appreciate the knowledge, but The Lion meeting Dante was like 2 minutes of 23. Not mad, but disappointed.

Get out of here with your "Warhammer boys club" bullshit. There isn't some secret progressive agenda, the story is expanding, that's it. Does the idea that Squats/Leagues of Votann exist make you feel threatened? And no, I don't think they'll touch the 2 lost legions, but if they do then you can either like the lore and engage with it, or ignore it and move on. Same with Primaris, Tau, Sisters of Battle, Catachan Jungle Fighters, or any other part of the setting you don't like. Move on and stop trying to pretend like only people who have your narrow view on the hobby are "real fans".
Femstodes is a big old nothingburger, giving the two lost primarchs defined genders just seems to defeat the point of what they are.
