The D&D Rules section in the new 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide: The game is built on the expectation that you'll participate 'in good faith' and NOT try to bend it over backwards. They aren't trying to be working economies or realistic physics simulations, they're trying to create a fun experience for you. In programming, this is often called the 'happy path', where somebody A) knows what the system is for and B) is using it in good faith and not trying to exploit vulnerabilities. This vid is honestly showing what devs simultaneously love and hate to see: Someone not doing the happy path. Someone interfacing with the system in ways that it wasn't designed to be interfaced with. They didn't check if the OTHER pools could be accessed to affect pool rating, only that at least ONE could and if ONE could, then they must all be connected. They didn't check to see what would happen if the one pool they could access suddenly couldn't be accessed. Or if they did, they didn't do so while also making the computer the game's running on cry.

1)dumbed down for consoles 2)features and assets removed to be sold to you piecemeal later. 3)Cant use Steam workshop, have to use their own proprietary one. Which has a download limit. And less features. 4) "multiplayer" is just singleplayer.
To play devil's advocate with regard to your third point, I would assume there are two main reasons for it 1) Remember when Nintendo DMCA'd Garry's Mod over workshop content? Yup. So they probably figured if they're gonna have to moderate their workshop they might as well make it an "in house" system because of reason 2 2) Now they can include mods in the console release, the same way Giants does for the Farming Sim series, and doing it this way keeps everything in one place and everyone on the same level
@@thespiffingbrit Really? I heard it was essentially play-by-email but it requires you to use their servers to do it? That's redesigning the wheel and coming up with a triangle if I ever heard of it.

4) "multiplayer" is just singleplayer.
Haha yeah the multilayer is basically the sim city 2013 level of multiplayer clunky and detrimental to future gamers after servers shutter
To play devil's advocate with regard to your third point, I would assume there are two main reasons for it
1) Remember when Nintendo DMCA'd Garry's Mod over workshop content? Yup. So they probably figured if they're gonna have to moderate their workshop they might as well make it an "in house" system because of reason 2
2) Now they can include mods in the console release, the same way Giants does for the Farming Sim series, and doing it this way keeps everything in one place and everyone on the same level
@@thespiffingbrit Really? I heard it was essentially play-by-email but it requires you to use their servers to do it?
That's redesigning the wheel and coming up with a triangle if I ever heard of it.
@@TheCynicalJedi + for console is - for PC. See point 1.
Your first point is essentially "they are lazy" as a defense... Not a good one. Especially when, AFAIK, they had no issue with this in PC1 or any of their other games. Nor does anyone else on Steam.
Regardless, even if I cede these points, it doesn't excuse the new workshop being less feature complete than steam. Nor the download limit.
Spiff's first customers are named Bigelow, and he misses the easy tea joke. Spiff's officially team coffee!
No views? Bro fell off
No subs? You fell off
6 min and 2k views? Maaan he should at least have 100 million views by now 😢
You mean to 3.3k views? I bet you head echos when thumped.
Someone needs to invent an Auto-ban or automute extension for these comments.
@@mufasafalldown8401 no way let him get shamed in the comments
In my opinion it is quite genius to market a game with the spiffing Britta to be broken because many people me included will want to experience something similar and will try to get the game. Also it is quite nice to get to know these games on your UA-cam channel so sponsoring this or sending you a free copy is the best way to do so.
I truly appreciate how Spiff turns every game into Laissez Faire Capitalism: The Simulator. Also I'm continually amazed that developers keep giving him early access copies of their games lol.
Tricking people into visiting empty amusement park, it's like tricking people into visiting Sheffield. Truly evil.
Beaten with only one pool.
No no no don't look over there! Those are... Um... Decorative puddles!
14:23 holy thats a blast from the past, I had that exact laptop and played portal 2 on it when it released.
Growing up is realising devs only gave this man early access to find bugs before it releases. 😂
he is turning more and more into lets game it out and i love it!
I loved this. Yes i do want you to play this game again but the challenge is that you actually have to make a themepark.
hahaha i loved that you called my park boring, Spiff! I agree that the One Pool experience will always be top tier! :P 🤣 Thank you ♥
I don't have to fear dodging the flames from the theme park. . . my neighbors do. As I will be sprinting around the coffee drinkers homes as the flame throwers spawn in. It shall be glorious.
Thank you for all the entertainment over the years
That bit of DOOM music and waves was epic!
I had no idea you could build massive pools and customize them to that extent!, that makes me want the game now
The fact, that the 20 pools with the all the plants and buildings looks pretty fun😂
by the 24th minute i completely forgot it was a Theme Park tycoon game and thought it was a weird Water Park tycoon game. Spiff managed to break viewers again. Good job mr sausage man
