I can't get Pro Tools Intro to detect my Air Boom (x64). Anyone knows why? It's a imac intel from 2015. On the same computer Boom runs nicely on Logic.
This is great! Question: At 8:13, after you've made copies of the clips, I notice that the new drum clip has acquired the title "Drums-07", enabling you to edit that clip without messing with the original clip ("Drums-05"). How did you do that? (It seems like it was done off-camera!)

The way I usually do that is using Command C (Copy) and Command V (Paste) on a highlighted region , it's same as what you would do when typing a document. Hope that helps!!

I have no idea why this negativity. I am new in music recording, using pro tools intro for a week now, can recommend it very much even if I´m not totally introduced to all the features. But the range of opportunities you get for free is amazing.

I am new to the DAW scene. I have downloaded and installed Pro Tools Intro. But when I opened the app, it opened as Pro Tools Studio which I have no intentions to subscribe. Can you or anyone tell me why that has happened and how I may correct the issue? My Avid Link appears to reflect Intro as being installed and activated but Studio is what I seem to have.

@@thechiraqpost After re-starting the laptop, it suddenly opened as Pro Tools Intro and now works. I really don't know how or why that worked for me, just glad it does.

Im now downloading the new "intro" version, hopes it doesnt sent my pc to hell of virus and errors like the time I installed the new "first" version... Pro Tools its a must if you need to work on pro audio, but its the most slow and problematic software ever... Im user of Cockos Reaper, that is a real efficient workhorse...
@@cfbarrerap Hey Krisitian, the installation manager (Avid Link) asks for your computer password to do fast auto installs, but you can say 'No Thanks' and still install manually.

how to you bounce out the track to a single beat?
To bounce it as a 2-track MP3, just go to file tap/ and select "Bounce to Mix"... or hold option & command and press B while holding to bring up the bounce mix window💪🏽

Luna is Free when you buy an Apollo Audio Interface & Logic Pro doesn't charge a yearly fee to use the product. I would stay away from any company that charges yearly license fee to use the product...
I bought an Apollo but never got Luna how do you do it?
And some daws don't charge you anything after you bought them
I find it very interesting that you declare that what YOU do is what an entire generation does.

Please don't disparage information being provided by the industry standard for the past 40 years until you can legitimately show your way to be superior.
Free =/= better in 90% of cases. Which is why protools is free. But the best features available within it are not. You learn on the free. And pay one you've learned the work flow and are ready to take things seriously.
Always entertained when some randumb person wants to challenge software that’s literally made more hits than Mike Tyson. If you ever go into a professional recording studio and they’re using “free software” walk out immediately.

If I got sample in 130BPM but my project is 140BPM how to sync it? (without changing project tempo), I work only in sample based world

...so all you do is:
1) change the session/project tempo to 130 bpm...
2) Then go to the track your sample is on, and at the bottom of that track (underneath "waveform, dyn, read,) it should a small white symbol that looks like shape of a plunger, select it and turn it to polyphonic...
3) To the left of the white plunger symbol, should be a blue symbol, select that and change it from samples to Ticks.
4) Now change your session/project tempo back to 140. Your sample is now locked to the tempo of the session. So no matter the tempo you set, your sample will always change to the tempo of the session. You can also change the pitch of the sample using the transpose window.
In the same if you wanted to change the tempo of the entire project with all of your tracks locked in, you'd just apply those changes of polyphonic and Ticks to every track. Hope it helps bro

Its much different than my previous Daw, FL studio. IN that one, you have stock sounds to implement into the tracks, which are all like instrument tracks as default. But in PT, every sound comes from a plugin. Very old fashioned.

I love how the world is bashing on vocalists who use pitch correction, but nobody says a peep about this "quantise" feature which is basically auto-tune for this world, having a bad and can't tap in time? Just auto-correct it! Same thing.
How come so many folk work in Avid making music that reminds me of a cheap club?
when I open protools it kills all the sounds on my computer. for example your video has no sound which makes it somewhat useless....as is pro tools, a program that has no sound
the only thing that put me off.. using a drum machine. something missing. nuanced fills. can't beat real drums

I'm like.. why the F did I just buy a license for FL? This seems SO much more intuitive.. I may just chalk it up as a big fat L and just get Protools instead.
It's definitely not more intuitive-in fact, you'll most likely end up with a headache in the long-run. you're better off with FL studio to begin with. Just my 2 cents. (btw I have both)

Just thought it would be fin to record some punk songs and stuff. Thinking about buying guitar rig 6. I know there are free options. But it just looks so frickin awesome.
dude crazy how in this tutorial you use the xpand2 plugin when it's almost impossible to buy it on an AAX format, all the time they sell it in VST, avid is shit
Xpand!2 plugin is included with every version of Pro Tools.
