Like this if you have no clue of what I said in Italian 🇮🇹
I'm Italian ✌️
grande! di dove sei
Italian gang 🤌
Ferrara! 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Daje 💪🏻
The hidden tip behind this whole video: Never stop enjoying the process. This man was feeling the music all the way through from beginning to end while staying objective with the results. Absolutely inspiring video 👏
Glad you enjoyed it! It's amazing to read comments like this! Thanks so much
I can’t believe how right you are about this being applicable in ANY genre - these drum tips have really levelled up my Gregorian chants!
Haha hope this is true 😂
Any genre that involves drums that is!!
This is the same approach MJ used. That's why his tracks were very catchy. You just reminded me a very long time ago I accidentally approached an arrangement this way and from everything I've done all this years that track is still my favorite. You helped me understand why now. Also by using your mouth you avoid making a extremely busy drum part just cuz you can only make one noise at the time so you basically prioritize what you hear.
Thanks so much for supporting!! Glad to help 🙏
I thought I was the only one to sing/hum stuff into my DAW just to make notes about how I want stuff to sound. I can imagine fantastic things in my head but struggled to get them how I want until I started doing this. And not just for drums!
Totally! Great approach for many things 💯👌
this content deserves at least 100k subscribers. You’re dropping gems bro.
Appreciate your support 🥹 Thanks so much man, UA-cam does not agree with you apparently lol but we keep dropping!!
@@badhabitUA-cam recommended this vid to me with only 100 views so far so something must be working?? Insane how much work you put into this though, just subbed
@@badhabit Just stay consistent and it will come. I discovered your channel through algorithm too, so something must be working. Quality is here, you just need a bigger reach. I have seen many creators exploding suddenly only after months or years of uploading great unnoticed content.
@@andywheels1550 oh that's good to know! Thanks for clicking and subbing then 😁 appreciate it!!
@@sovka8394 Totally! I've been posting as many videos as I can, hopefully I'll have more time in the coming months to post even more!! Thanks for the continuous support!
This was unbelievably helpful. So often you find videos like this that are just super clockbaity but this video gives you super practical tips. I also like that we're iust seeing you build the drums start to finish with basically no loops. Amazing stuff!
Amazing, I'm so glad it helped! If you liked this approach you might want to check out my new masterclass - same approach but much more detailed and not only making drums but a full song. If you're interested I've got a special launch price, link in description 😁 thank you!!
I am amazed! You've just unlocked my creativity! Tks, man, I was really needing it !
Amazing! So happy to hear this!!
Some things I knew, others I did not. One thing however is for certain. I will never have a boring drum section again thanks to you. A special mention has to go out for that bassline as well. It was badass!
Amazing to read comments like this one. You made my day thank you!!🙏
@@badhabit Just that one tip alone about beatboxing into the mic, to get the initial feel for how you want the drums to progress is so obvious, yet pure genius! It has changed my whole approach.
@@djGreenALERT that’s fantastic!! So glad about this 🙏🙏
Absolutely killer video. I not only get inspired by your great tips but your energy makes me want to produce right now. well done and thank you!
Amazing, I couldn't be happier. That's the reason why I do these videos!! Thanks so much!
@@badhabit Do you also help people with music projects for a fee? As in Im close to finish this track and Ive got a sound engineer to master it but would love to hear your thoughts on some of the elements. again, thank you! Cant wait to try out these new drum tricks.
@@bronnquist Email me for more info about this! You should find the biz email in my info here on YT 😁 thanks!
the content of this channel is pro🔥 you deserve so much more, keep them comin🙌🏼

Hopefully you’re right 😎 glad you liked the video, thank you so much!!
This helped me get out of a rut. I've never thought about recording myself when I'm beatboxing to the track to get more natural feeling drums.
Amazing. So glad to read comments like this, great to inspire you! Thanks!!

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for supporting!!

nice tips, thanks for sharing. especially the one with the LFO tool to work on those loops like cut things out or make others shine more.. very very cool

I love your enthusiasm. Earned a sub!
thank for the sub!! Appreciate it 😁
Great little trick. Thanks for sharing.
Glad to help! Thanks for watching!
I'm biased, but I love this. Ever since I bought some VST software, all my SNS feeds have been flooded with ads about automated beatmaking software and chord builders. I'm happy that it might open doors for people that might not have music backgrounds, and while I don't have anything against that software or the people that use them, I feel like it creates some of the most boring, predictable, quickly-staling music that I just can't get into. It is so refreshing to see a video like this; encouraging people to really dive into their own creativity to find their own unique sound. My process for drums (and for melodies!) is very similar. Just making a loop and jamming on it for a while til something 'clicks'.
thanks so much for your support! really glad you enjoyed it 😁
And the thing is that I bet if a lot of people who bought the automated stuff just took the time to try things like in this video, they would be able to do them and also enjoy it more.
Ci ho messo un po’ a capire che fossi italiano. Ma la telefonata finale non lascia dubbi. Ottimo video bro

that beat box thing in the beginning got me. the more i think about it, the more i like it. thanks
Amazing! Great to hear this, thanks for your support 🙏
you should check out Michael Jackson showing one of his beat box cassette tapes in court. Masterclass on the idea.
Bro this dude makes me smile, this is how you work in a daw🔥
Appreciate that 🙏thanks for supporting
Good shit man. I have a couple songs that require drums similar to this so ima try and implement some of these tips right quick
That’s amazing, let me know how it goes then 😁 thanks for watching!!
Good observations for better beat-making. Definitely within any genre there's certain stylistic requirements, but it's way better with variations. I play a bunch of acoustic drums, so when I do beat machine or sample pad stuff, I like having lots of voices and time changes.
Amazing, glad to help!! Thanks for watching
Really depends on the genre. Dance music drums are supposed to be “boring” because you need an anchor to dance to.
Rock music doesn’t matter because white people just sway around
awesome video
Thanks a lot!!
Que simpático eres! great video thanks!
Thank you man!!
Thank you so much❣
Thank YOU for watching and supporting!🙏
nice tutorial! great job.. Thanks
Thanks a lot to you!!
the beat boxing/record tip is great.
Thank you glad it was helpful 😁
Nice Video !
Glad you enjoyed it!! Thanks for watching 😁
you could also drag the audio file into midi and create drum patterns that way. also a shortcut for your tip at 5:27 is shift+cmd+c. Cheers!
Yes great idea👌 thanks for watching!!
great video man. just subbed.
Awesome! Thank you I appreciate it!
Thanks to this video I removed the dust from my old micro and let my creative and my soul talk, thanks UA-cam algorithm for show me the way. Absolutely new subscriber 🫡

That vibe without recording is so true, I didn’t know Ableton had that feature.
Glad to help!! 😁
Nice work i wanna hear the finished project 😁 very groovy :)
Thanks so much!! Who knows, I might drop it 😎
"Latrino"? I have questions... No, for sure this was a lot of fun. It's the first video that I've seen from you. I instantly hit the subscribe button. Great show. "Do-dada-do-datt"
Awesome! Thank you for subscribing I appreciate that a lot!

haha sorpresa solo per chi arriva alla fine 😇 grazie per il supporto!!

So happy to hear that!
A drum set with a bad and kick and a good one is HUGE!
cool man ty for sharing
Of course! Thank you for watching 🙏
this is actually a fucking great idea man.
glad you liked it man!!
Such an amazing content bro ! I produce some house tracks and the « pou-tchi-ka » is on all of my tracks… I admit. But i’m just moove and dance all along your vid ! Thank you I’m going to do it right now
Thanks so much! It’s fine btw, house music needs that 😁 I do that too and of course I have that, I just try to keep experimenting as much as possible
man youre goated i always get super inspired after watching your videos thanks for the jewels. I'm only a year into producing so im barely starting to understand the fundamentals. I would love to know what are your rules for sampling thanks again bro
That's great to hear, amazing to get people inspired. Thank you man!! Keep hustling!! And keep watching this space cause I have something BIG coming in the next few weeks that might help you progressing fast 😎
Thanks a lot for this video! I struggle a lot with drums in Ableton.
Thank you for watching and supporting! Hope this will help you!!
New subscriber here. Great video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge ✌️
Thank YOU! For subscribing and supporting 🙏
Nice! Thanks for giving importance to the human feel
That’s 🔑
another cool tip: do the percussion/drums with your mouth and them right click, convert into drums and you have Ableton create a midi pattern of your sounds, pretty cool in newer live versions! you can make drums from sampled drums and change the sound!
Great tip yeah!!
Man not a bad video, not a bad tip. Ty. I’m only 5:00 in so far so I don’t know if you’ll get to this or not but you can take that audio track of you sketching out beats with your voice and you can convert it to midi in Ableton so you can apply whatever samples you want to it at that point.
Thank you man!! Appreciate you watching all the way through. That’s a good point btw, definitely another very good option 😎
@@badhabit Yep I finished it. Thank you. Do you ever use any hardware devices? I have a hybrid setup using Elektron with overbridge with a Push 2 and Live, so I always appreciate some good Ableton tips.
Absolute fucking fire
Thanks so much I appreciate it!
Complimenti per la pronuncia perfetta.... non avrei mai immaginato fossi italiano fino a quando hai ordinato le pizze :D
