Best RC plane channel on UA-cam
I love this channel because it shows the best side of the hobby, the not so serious side. I just tried to tow a glider with a car and it was hilarious. On the 4th attempt, the rubber bands holding the wings down ripped mid tow and it smashed into the ground so hard the battery caught fire.

it is a common method of launching gliders. a example 100 feet surgical tubing 200 feet of cord hooked to the glider stretch tubing up to 6 times its length. after glider releases the parachute floats back to the starting depending on how windy it is. with a good launch the glider does a near vertical climb. as the climb flattens you can use whats left of the tension to make a shallow dive to increase the speed then pull up hard then the glider shoots up then as the line goes slack the parachute pulls the ring hooked to the glider off.
