    Very nice upgrades on your KLP1. I just ordered one of these for doing smaller projects in ABS/ASA/Nylon. Kingroon had it on sale for US$229 with free shipping so I couldn't pass it up. I've been running a Kingroon KP3S for several years and it has been very reliable and produces very good prints. A couple of upgrades I'll probably do to the KLP1 is to replace the dark tinted panels with clear panels. I'll also move the touch screen outside the enclosure. Putting LED lights inside is a good idea so I'll follow your lead and do the same. Also the extended top cover. I'll probably bypass the filament runout sensor and feed the printer from an external dry box.

    Nice review. Like you, I've been 3d printing for over 5 years now. I purchased the KLP1 and it is my first klipper machine. I'd have to agree with your assessment that it would be daunting for a beginner. It took me awhile to get used to the interface but the machine works quite well and I'm addicted now to making parts in record time. Not sure how customer service is for King-Roon machines but hopefully, I won't have to find out.

      Thank you. I almost see them as necessary bare minimum fixes then upgrades. Everything I did should really be standard.

      @@BusterBeagle3D thank youu🙌🏻 now I’m just trying figure out why the back of my prints arnt getting enough air flow, they keep slightly warping from not drying fast enough I think, I’m running 205 and a 60 on bed

      @@CodyArndt-w5b Just open all of the doors or better yet just remove them all together if you are using PLA primarily. You really only want it enclosed for ABS, PETG etc where you need higher temps.

    hey , what is that thing that you paint with it?

    • @BusterBeagle3D
      @BusterBeagle3D  Рік тому

      That wasn't a painting tool. I used a regular paint brush to paint the model. That was a 3D Print pen to merge the 2 parts together and fill in the seam.

    Looks like a mildly updated makerbot from more than 10 years ago, but poorly masquerading as a Bambu Lab printer. Seems like all the companies that do more knocking-off than innovating think that the only reason Bambu is popular is speed. Speed is nice, but not having to put a ton of work into a machine that is poorly designed and having a lot of trouble shooting be automated (I think) are the biggest reasons why most people like Bambu.
    I only made it 2 minutes into the video. No point in me watching any more. No way I'm considering a printer with what I've already seen in 2 minutes.
    Thanks for being honest starting off the video with that info.

      I honestly have no real skin in the game. I just call it like I see it :)
      I honestly think it can be a good machine but does take some work to make it good. I come from a time when the only option was to build your 3D printer yourself so I don't mind a little work but I know that's not for everyone. My first machine didn't even come with a part cooling fan so I guess my bar is relatively low.

      I got my first printer (makerbot) almost 20 years ago. I have suffered enough. LOL I have so many inventions that were stopped by a never-ending stream of problems with 3D printers being unreliable. I have almost zero energy left to tinker. If I bought a hammer to build a house, and most of the time it couldn't get the nails in, and then I bought another hammer and it did the same, I would eventually give up on the idea of using a hammer to build the house, and possibly on building the house entirely. That's been my life with 3D printers in the house, until Bambu. (not that there aren't some issues with the Bambu, just not nearly as many.@@BusterBeagle3D

      I dont think that bambu's 1K addition is worth the money.For me Klp1 was 330€.And its not a ton of work to add some printed parts to upgrade.1K more,is a ton of work for sure.
