- Опубліковано 28 тра 2024
- I tested and reviewed the Kingroon KLP1, a new budget Core XY FDM 3D Printer. This little beast is a powerhouse for the price of only $379. It's an all-metal build that has everything you could pretty much want to get started! With that said there are a few things you should be aware of...

I wish I had a 'stylist' to operate my touch screen😆
And a "stylus" to keep my hair looking perfect 🤪
🤣
Looks like this would be a gem of a printer after they address what you pointed out in your review. Thanks for the info!
Great vid.
Nice review. I looked at the KLP1 a while ago, but there were so many negative reviews that I decided to buy the Ender 5 S1 as it was on sale. It is not as fast, but faster than my Ender 3 Pro that is heavily modified. It also prints better than my Ender 3.
I agree with your opinion on the dark colored enclosure panels. The enclosure on my Ender 5 S1 is the same way. I would much prefer clear panels. Everytime I print something I have to use a flashlight to see what is happening. It definitely needs some led lighting.
The top of the KLP1 cover though should be replaced with some sort of acrylic box to give the cables more room. It seems like the people who design the enclosures have never actually used a 3D printer or they would not have design it like that.
Still though is a good review of the Kingroon KLP1 unlike the other reviews so hopefully it is getting better and will continue to improve. Maybe in a year or so if they make significant changes I might actually want to buy one. Right now though if I was going to buy one of these fast 3d printers I would probably choose the Flashforge Adventurer M5. But I don't really need that kind of speed so I will probably wait a year or two.
you got a typo in the title btw! :P great video! subbed
Looks like it may have RJ45 connector too ... This is interesting machine and these all can be fixed fairly quick.
I guess community will get the profiles sorted out fairly quickly.
This makes me excited for someone like elegoo to make something similar
I did the pressure calibration correctly I think, and I print with the top open not to have problems with filament feeding :)
one of the factors that needs to be considered to be an "ender 3" type of 3D printer is it's price and accesability on third world country, one of the main reasons Creality still sells the original model of the Ender 3 is because of it's popularity on Latinamerica.
Other Kingroon machines like the KP5L cost $12,000 pesos on México that on USD is $680.
You mentioned that Kingroon sent you a link to a blog post with more profiles on it. Is that something you can share?
Your very right my apologies here ta go and ill put it in the description too: kingroon.com/blogs/3d-print-101/orcaslicer-using-on-kingroon-kp3s-pro-v2-and-klp1-3d-printer
@@Keep-Making thank you, Jonathan!
hello, I use 1kg Kingroon filament bobine, and have failures during printing very often... do you have ideas how to improve? I have failures with standard test file on the usb.... do you have ideas? maybe I wrong calibration something? thanks for help
This printer is actually a really good I'm planning to buy a corexy 3D printer and this might be the one and I'm sure going to spend lots of time tinkering with it and modifying it like my Ender 3 Pro which is now the best printer and all it needed was a new mainboard from btt and the sprite extruder and the creailty CR-Touch and it's brilliant I hope this one is good too
If it had solid profiles I would buy it.
Adventurer 5M for $299 from Flash Forge is hard to deny...
Hi! The things you've describe is a typical "Chinese 3d printer" :)) Never ending story!
PS. OK, one big difference: Klipper inside.
it's a quick copy/paste of the crealty k1 with a couple of cosmetic tweaks, which had the exact same lid issue.
Nah it isn't a copy this is the same setup as their previous KP7 just with a core x/y motion system.
@@SaveTheSunF1R3x so they had this same issue with the lid and didn't fix it?
@@CrudelyMade it was more of an after thought. the other one didn't have front and top panels. they just slapped them onto the KP7 frame and called it a day.
Video named incorrectly - model is KLP1, not KPL1
I've had the KLP1 here for a week now and "software" issues is terrible. Over time I'm sure things will get fixed or updated, but the software ruins the machine. Support it with good software and you'd have a beast of a machine, what a shame.
Hows this vs bambu a1 mini? I have the bambu preordered with the ams lite.
Edit: seems slower, and lower quality, and im not a fan of tinkering
BTW you misspelled the title, might affect the algo or people searching
QIDI X-Smart 3 is currently $299 on offer.
it's too small,only 175mm x 180mm x170mm
i got my k1 for the same price so this is hard to justify
You can also get a working QIDI for that price.
That's not ball screws
Nah, the "Ender 3" of these generations is generally under the $250 mark. This doesn't really meet that standard.
But can we really complain about a $50 increase, especially given the massive upgrade that it is compared to the Ender 3 and considering inflation?
For me, the Ender 3 represents a solid, affordable platform for beginners and tinkerers alike with room for improvement. This machine seems like it fits right in for someone who is looking for the something equivalent but in the CoreXY world! Although I would probably still lean more towards the A1 mini for this price point
It's Stylus, not Stylist
Titles wrong lmao
The question is, why in fact is it do cheap
E Waste then.
lol they placed the display inside? So you don't see it and can't use it when closed?
This is like the worst corexy presented on the market, maybe you "love it" because they sent it to you for free.
I heard tinker. I'm out😂
Meh. I would rather grab the K1 or an adventurer 5M for a few bucks more.
Funny coz I got my 5m pro for $350. Lol.
How?
Nope. Don't need a tinkering project ouf of the box. Need it to just print.
the whole design of this printer is a failure
