- My first car review. Why not do it on my personal Nissan GTR. I've owned if for a few years now and can give you an idea from an ownership perspective if you're looking to buy one. Be warned...you'll be surprised.

2013 gtr is probably the best one , was also the last year model done by kazutoshi mizuno. after he retired, nissan has listened too much to crtics that they tried to make it more luxurious and softer. those transmission noises are also on the pdk porsche's especially on the turbo's and gt models. funny in a porsche they would call it raw and exciting but on a gtr they called it noisy an unrefined.
+trustgtr33 That's what I would think too regarding noise from other manufacturer transmissions...I'd probably even include interior noise may be less tolerable.
But as you mentioned, the argument would be it's more raw. Lol
And yes, 2013's are the best year 😁

These cars may have their annoying as hell fanboys but you have to admit, they are awesome machines.
Yes, fanboism aside, they are great cars.
Which is often why I struggle to appreciate how good it is at it's relatively "low" price point. Impressive car, not my personal favorite. Honestly glad that people enjoy their cars though.
It's weird because the skylines had almost just as much hype yet no one hated on any fanboys. It's as if everyone back then already knew and accepted that the skyline was an amazing machine. I guess the car community just wasn't as big and toxic back then..
Then the internet happened. People's inner youtube commenter came out ....
Well, if you lived in the US back in those days, then it was a different story since we did not get them here. Hence, there was much fanboism with fewer haters.
Being that we have access now and it seems that "EVERYONE" has them due to social media/UA-cam, then there is a larger group of toxic people. There are groups like these for each car manufacturer, so it's not going to change.
If you're a car enthusiast like myself, then this is one of the best times to live given our car options.

Great review, I love my 2009 CBA GTR, it had its issues to start with but a few upgrades and it is a 10 second quarter mile drag car that I can drive around daily. I will keep this car forever.

Great video. One thing worth noting is that from 2015+ the headlights and taillights were revised. Not certain but I believe they’re the same lights that the 2017+ come with.

Hey guys, just checking in...I finally got my INFINITI QX50 (2017) at the end of August. Fully loaded, Graphite Shadow, 19" wheels.
It's very strange NOT having a manual transmission as this is my first ever owned automatic. My left foot is bored and my hand still goes for the gear shifter.
The ride is smooth but firm, passengers say it feels very solid. I'm averaging 22.5 MPG (mostly highway driving).
I want to get dedicated snow tires (New England winters), looking at Xice Xi3's from Michelin (they don't make Pilot Alpine's in 245/45-19).
Any other suggestions?

I currently drive an stock STi, GTR has always been my dream car, when financial situation allows, it will be on my next purchase list. Maybe a video about maintenance cost for a future video?

Clean car man, gunmetal is defiantly the best color for it. Its nice to see an owner take care of their GTR and not throw on bodykits and airbags.
Thanks! Yeah, I don't plan on anything outrageous to the looks as I think it's great stock. I'm more performance oriented and plan to get a series going on the upgrades to the GTR and if it helped with performance (VBOX 1/4 mile testing).

Drove a GTR around Brands Hatch and was blown away.... awesome car, I wouldn’t swop it for my Cayman S but boy did I enjoy it. 👍

Shooty Mike Same here, over the weekend I had the chance to drive one for the first time and it’s unlike any other car I’ve driven. I definitely shed a tear. If you get the chance please drive one, it’s a surreal experience.

Nice car. GTR is one of the best all around usable vehicles out there. It has huge modability as well.
chattering is down to one of the pins in the brake calipers (the top) not being spring loaded like the bottom one is. You can get these from Nissan and easily replace and that noise will stop :)

My s2000 recently started making a clutch noise too. It does not bother me and it is not detrimental to my car so it's just one of those things that make it a sports car.
I can take you for a ride if you're local. lol
The S2K is a nice car. I'd choose that over a BRZ, RX8, Miata anyday.

I think the only thing a GTR needs aftermarket is a better exhaust. They sound pretty quiet stock.
Zelo Sound is a preference, but yes, you can increase it with aftermarket offerings.

I don't know man. My dad owns the black edition, and I mean the quiet low exhaust sounds so so menacing. Like you don't know if its quick or just another BMW look alike.
Late to this party. I am not wild about the styling. It is not the worst I've ever seen. I LOVE the GTR though. The technology and interior are amazing. One day....
why did you get the 2012 version, purely cosmetic reasons or any other thing need to be aware off? gearbox?

sadly they're too expensive to drive here in belgium. The first time tax is over 10K€.. then the annual tax is another 1700€..
GTR owner here for 6 years now and still satisfied. First year cost me a lot upgrading the gearbox due to clutch plate failure. The rest is regular maintenance and not much more.

How much is for the general (I call it DSG I own Porsche) maintenance? I’m trying to compare because I was shocked at the bill.
Wouldn't the warranty cover that? Clutch plate failure in a new car? (as you said in your first year)

I love dudes who are not biased in their opinion. My car rattles like a bag of screws when driving, but I assume other sportscars do it as well, so it´s normal.

The 2010 .The transmission kept breaking.lt stayed at the dealership more than it did at my dam house.

Reliability has been great. No known issues yet.
Done: bought a used 2016 w/ 13K miles. I've had a GT350, GT500, S2000, et cetera...that car is a fucking machine! Insane!!! Paddle shifters took some getting used to though; never really had automatics outside of my wife's 4Runners.
and AWD, here in the North East I think this is superior to a Corvette because of the winter grip.
I love your content but instead of doing ADR (additional dialog recording) you should instead do a second take and make sure you have a good mic. It's very obvious when you have dubbed over yourself. Keep making content and as always I will keep watching as your subscriber.

This would be my number choice for at DCT car. There’s really not much to complain about the car in my opinion. The performance and price point is a no brainer.
What's the average insurance cost for a GTR in CA for a person with good driving history 10+ years with no accidents, tickets, etc.?

-Do you need rear seats (small occupants only)?
- Do you need AWD?
-Are you satisfied with the performance stock? Because there is a huge aftermarket.
I think it's best to go drive one and you'll have a better idea.
