  • Per request, here are some more details of the 2-Bay RV Garage we just finished building! So far this project has worked out perfect as we have a great place to store our Truck Camper out of the damaging Florida sun, and have an extra RV Bay for friends to use!

    When the in-laws bother you so much, you build them their own separate RV garage bay so you don't have to see them or deal with them when they come over lol

    The video motions are so smooth and the landscaping and design so perfect at times it looked like we were being flown around an arcetects rendering and not the actual structure. Excelsior!

    Very nice setup. I am in the early stages of shopping for a RV garage home. The only thing I would do different is to cut an wide open between the 2 RV bays so you can walk to the bays without going outside.

      I would have kept the two bays open to each other as well, however, I rent out the right side bay to pay my taxes and therefore decided to keep them separate during the build!

    So many good tips-drain indoors/outdoors, lights, fan, wall splits! Just excellent video & smart. We were going to do 2 door garage for RV & shorter door for boat, but makes sense to do both tall! Thinking down the road for resale!

    Absolutely genius!!!! I was waiting for someone to come up with something like this is just stay in their and not need a house. Probably make a rear deck to sit and relax and possibly run an lp line from a bigger in the ground tank for larger supply of l.p.. What would make it even better would be drive thru bays so no reversing. Cable tv hookup with Wi-Fi.

      This house with two RV garages could easily house three families.

    Super nice job! I'm designing 4 car single RV garage for my place. Liked the idea of full RV connections.

    The bay on the right is a great work shop. 16 X 50 that's perfect.
    Ohhhhh the tools. That DeWalt planer can have it's own permanent indeed and out feed extended table, a nice big extended outfield table for the table saw, a miter saw station, a jointer, and a dust collection system, etc etc.
    A lumber rack with a variety of exotics, soft and hard woods.
    A huge lock on the door with a do not disturb sign on the opposite side.
    Don't forget the 75" LED. What's in the frig?
    Are you with me....

    Love it. I built a 30 by 50 garage for my super C. Unfortunately, I put a 12 ft high door and now all the RVs are over 12 ft tall. Wish I had gone with a 14 ft door now.

    I would have left the center wall out of the design but is a good looking set up you have !

    • @charlescoushaine

      I left this center wall in because it allows me to rent one of the bays and keep it totally isolated from the other!

    One of those bay's would make a great gymnasium. Just add hoops and foul line. :-). And you could still park the truck camper in there.

    Why have the patrician between the two?? Seems like having an open area would be a lot more useful.

    • @charlescoushaine
      @charlescoushaine  4 роки тому +4

      You are right that having no wall between the bays would make it more open, however, I rent the right bay and wanted them completely separate.

    That sewer cap is not flush to the floor. I checked and there are actual flush to the floor (as in not trip over them) sewer caps available. There is no need for the trip hazard or the nifty custom wrench used now.

    Hey Charles, how is the space with the slide outs? about to do a 20x50 with full hook ups both in and out of garage. Thanks for the tips

    • @charlescoushaine
      @charlescoushaine  4 роки тому +1

      Hello Ryan - the slide outs fit fine but you still need to make sure you're centered before putting the slides out...
      The only change I would make to my garages is to make them longer!! Yes, I would now make them 60' long instead of 50' because it allows for two campers, trailers to fit in end to end - something that would have been beneficial a couple of times now!

    That's Nice.!! What does the Eagle with the five stars above mean.? (looks important).

    • @charlescoushaine
      @charlescoushaine  6 років тому +4

      Up North where I lived most of my life, having an eagle on your house was a sign of Patriotism! I have always had an eagle adorning the front of my houses so that tradition continued on this build as well!

    Is there living space upstairs? How $much$ to build? A 27' by 35' to 40' garage is the most I could do.

    • @charlescoushaine
      @charlescoushaine  8 місяців тому

      Cost for a top of the line all block/stucco structure with an integral woodshop and connecting breezeway built to the latest Florida hurricane 🌀 codes cost around $200k which translates to $83/sqft. There are plenty of ways to go less expensive but our HOA and the County required unbelievable inspections at each step to assure I met the latest hurricane standards.

      @@charlescoushaine here in New Jersey I got a quotes of $250,000 and $260,000 but we want living space above the garage.

    Charles, what were your thoughts on putting the sewer on the left side of the garage? I would imagine you'd be backing any RV into the garage where the sewer connection would be on the right side.

    • @charlescoushaine
      @charlescoushaine  4 роки тому

      In hindsight, the best thing to do is place one in the front left and back right corners so that you can use them whether you pull in, or back in!
