I started snowbirding last year (Charleston). One day, I hope to have a camper. Until then, I rent for 3 months from Dec-Feb . I’m not sure where in Georgia that you’re located, but I’d be interested in it being a potential snowbird location for me later this year. Is that a possibility?
@@serenastillserena8681 maybe South Georgia? It still gets pretty cold above Atlanta 30-40s Jan-Feb. No where like Midwest though. There are some nice spots along Georgia coast down south.
I'm going to build something similar near Lula, Ga. My GC capabilities are zero. Any suggestions on General Contractor or home builder in this area that could do this work?
Great question. One thing I've learned is if you serve as a GC yourself it can be very difficult to find quality subs that do the work right. Not to discourage, but that was a challenge for me as a newbie doing it. I have since found that if you can connect with an established GC that has quality subs, that can make things go a lot smoother. A lot of it is in the details too and energy innovations. So that may be a point of differentiation to use while interviewing as that may reveal how forward thinking they are compared to run of the mill.
Did you ever try and price out a metal building instead? I never tell other people how to spend their money, I'm just in the process of building a similar similar sized building at 30x60x18 with a 18x60 lean-to and the total cost is significantly cheaper relative to yours, not including extras like the kitchenette, drywall, etc..
Yes, I think you'll save a good bit by doing metal building. Great tip, thank for pointing out. I went for different aesthetic in the end, but great value there in the metal buildings.
im guessing the property was existing from your house, so someone who does not have would also have that pretty big chunk of expense.... so double the cost?
Thanks so much for the information! Hoping to do a similar project as a modified RV home base. I enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words!
Gorgeous build!
Thank you!

How can I get you list of cost breack down
Yes, the costs shown in video were my actual expenses back in 2017. Likely it has changed since then, but those were my actual numbers.

Correct, land itself not factored in.
Building looks Great! Biden~Inflation would be a factor these days!
Very true. Inflation is crazy.
