    OK, watched the whole series. I built a 26x30 attached garage, 2x6, 16" O.C. standard construction.by myself. It turned out good. Now, 15 years later, need a building in my backyard. Thought I could build one of these myself. After watching this, whole series, I think that would be over my head. You sir are a true craftsman!! Clearly you have put a lot of thought and care into your work. My hat is off to you!

    For me, the ideas in ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

    amazed at how beautiful and big property ownership is in the mid west. this garage is bigger than the land property of most in california unless you want to live in the desert.

    The radiant heat in the floor is the way to go. They have been using this in Europe for decades and not only did my cat's know the warmest places to sleep, but stepping out of the bath onto a warm floor is amazing. If you really want to go that extra mile, add a towel bar in the same water system as the water, and you will always have a warm towel when getting out of the bath.

    Just binge watched this build from start to finish. Loved it! I hired a pole barn built and 2 all steel buildings. I used to think my buildings were pretty good. After watching this series, and your attention to detail. I can see that I hired a bunch of amateurs. Thank you and good luck with your future constructions.

    A big thumbs up to your entire series! And I want to say thank you for describing so much detail in everything! The quality of your work is superb!
    I also want to say thank you for mentioning that garage door opener! I am unable to have a traditional garage door opener due to an attic door installed by a previous owner being placed where the opener would sit. (3rd bay - unused apparently). That liftmaster jackshaft opener is GOLDEN! I had never seen one of those before, and it's PERFECT for my needs! So thank you!

    infloor heat in a shop is the best. it's so comfortable you could sleep on the floor and no noisy fans fans blowing around dust everything in the shop is dust free for years. there's many options for future means of heating the glycol but a simple water heater works fine.

      Running some black PVC around the perimeter of the roof to circulate the heating liquid into the sunlight BEFORE running it through the heating mechanism might help ease the energy required to heat the liquid before it reaches the floor level...
      OR
      eliminate the mechanical/electrical/gas heating step entirely...

    After reading the comments below most has been said about the quality of the build. This was a great build to watch go up. I very much like your style of video/audio. Many UA-camr/Maker builder people have migrated into videos that are in fast forward pretty much throughout the whole film. Some with audio voice overover and many without. In spots you speed up some of the repetitive parts which makes sense. Hope you can continue to produce in your current format. Thanks for your meticulous work on your jobs and behind the camera.

    New subscriber here. Great videos. Probably a stupid question here, but that's never stopped me before. So for shops/garages this size and smaller, ever do anything different the steel for the roof? Like specific shingles to match the house? Would that still make sense structurally for post-frame construction?...or is that only done with stick builds? Out here in California, I see a lot of small (like 3-car or 4-car garage size) 'matching' shops/garages with clay or concrete tile on the roof.

    • @RRBuildings
      @RRBuildings  4 роки тому
