    (Sigh) I just had a baby 6 months ago and this is embarrassing to admit but it’s been extremely EXTREMELY difficult for me to eat well and to exercise. Your videos always encourage me so much to just START. Thank you for being a light Sarah! ❤️

      I really hope you don't feel embarrassed to admit that! It's just not something to be embarrased of, you had baby, you should be proud of yourself and you were probably busy figuring out life with a new little one! You can do this, but maybe don't try something like Sarah is doing.. that super restrictive diet is not helpful for just anyone and is totally unessary for most, wish you the best! Start with small changes and achievable steps, don't be disappointed in yourself before you begin :) ❤

    You know here in Bolivia we are used to eat a similar diet but it is actually like an every day thing so it is crazy how sometimes I don’t feel like eating all this good stuff when it is so easy for me to get it. Made me think about that so now I feel thankful. 💛

    ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR TRUSTED HEALTH SPECIALIST - not just the internet or your best friend.
    After decades of living with erratic gut issues, an (unrelated) major health issue in 2014 saw me searching for a naturopath for the first time and a new doctor. Both encouraged me to change (amongst other things) eating habits - even though I didn't eat any junk food, drink alcohol or coffee, tests found my gut flora (microbiome) was not ideal. I hated many of the changes but geez, after a few years of following their rules - with mishaps, as I'm only human - my gut is now sooooo good. No cramps, no bloating, no cravings, regular number twos. Don't peel your veggies, drink lots water, take probiotics specific to your needs (it's not one-size-fits-all) !

    • @aangelaci98

      Cora Vukosich yes but what kind of doctor? No doctor of medicine would suggest a liver cleaning/detox diet because that doesn't exist. You cannot detox/clean it. If your liver is not working properly you will be at the hospital.

    • @MarisaManning
      @MarisaManning 4 роки тому +4

      ytangelaci 98 this is exactly right. It upsets me when I hear that “liver detox” because it just doesn’t exist but I can see how lay people get pulled in. Sarah is a very healthy lady regardless and this is probably not going to work

    • @aangelaci98
      @aangelaci98 4 роки тому +3

      Marisa H true. Maybe she will see results. But not for the reasons that she believes. At the end if you change your diet you can appreciate changes in your digestion and overall body health, but not because you have cleaned your liver or anything like that.

    Sarah I JUST did this cleanse!!! I also love smoothies and found a sneaky way to still have them. I brewed an herbal fruity tea and then blended it with soaked cashews, half an apple, a little bit of ginger, and a splash of cranberry juice (I did liver and gut so the cranberry was good for my gut). It was actually so good, not quite the same but still hit the smoothie spot

    For some with acne its just a pore issue(instead of hormonal)Just wanted to say that in case it helps some one. Here what worked for me: Don’t wash your face in the morning(just rinse or lightly tone with glycerin). These morning oils are your friend. Use non pore clogging lotion and sunscreen. Always have that protective layer between you before you go out and encounter pollution/ road dirt/ second hand smoke from entering your pores. Wash at night with a gentle cleanser like jojoba oil. Finish off with a nice humectant like rose water glycerin to lock in moisture.

    Regardless of whether or not there is such thing as a liver cleanse, she’s still eating GREAT food! She’s eating whole, real foods and enjoying it and that’s so amazing. Eating this way is extremely beneficial and there’s nothing wrong or dramatic/dangerous about it lol. If she was on like a tea cleanse or something crazy I’d understand the concern...but everyone that’s “concerned about her health” needs to lay off. This is a fantastic choice of eating habits and there’s absolutely nothing dangerous about it🤷🏼‍♀️

    Your plant is a Hosta, they like damp conditions and semi shade, and are stunning! Your lighter leaf might be prone to slug or snail damage (they are here in the UK) but you can either put organic wool pellets around the base of the plant to help protect it, or you can boil up some cloves of garlic and then spray the plant with the water. All organic, natural pest control. Enjoy your lovely hosta.

    In smoothies, can use water or juice instead of store bought milk. You can even make fresh juice or almond mylk yourself if you have tge time. Its pretty easy & cheaper than store bought. You can use the pulp to make cookies & crackers as you would use almond flour.

    taking about giving up food is so relatable. I am still figuring out what I can and can't eat. Your list sounds very similar to mine. No meats, no eggs, no dairy, no gluten, no white potatoes, no papaya, no tomatoes, no eggplant, and only small amounts of peppers. I also can't tolerate much sugar so sweets and baked stuff is out.
    When people find out how restricted my diet is, they do the whole "oh poor you, I couldn't possibly give up my precious foods". They just don't understand that health is more important than cheese.

    you are not alone, I am also gluten and sugar free.when I eat sugar, I know I will get acne on my face, usually on my chin and being gluten free helps with my chronic tonsil inflammation due to sinusitis. I read this book called Period Repair Manual by Lara Briden, she is a naturopath and I really enjoyed reading her book. I really enjoy your videos!

    My husband and I eat a plant based diet. He is also celiac. I think the hardest part for me would be no corn and no banana. But maybe I'll give that a try and see if some puffiness goes away. Way to go girl!

    I love food! It's hard for people to understand how much I love food because I'm a vegetarian on a low fodmaps diet for my gut health! I still cook meat for my boyfriend and family though, so that means I still get to cook all the different things I could possibly think of!

      Sarah Therese I totally get it tho! Do what’s important and impactful for your health. It does take a lot of discipline (which you possess) to only stick to the foods in that diet. I highly recommend a natruepathic doctor. Sending love to your family

    Celiac or Crohn's maybe? I wasn't accurately diagnosed for over 20 years. Former youth pastor went several years with IBS and other problems before receiving correct diagnosis from a specialist in Birmingham. Thanks for your channel. Hope you feel better soon.
