It's a disc detainer lock, very different to the more common pin tumbler designs. They are very good for high security and adverse conditions. And I enjoy picking them for sure!
Awesome tutorial as ever mate well done 👏 Love the fact you still use an old school vernier and your workshop looks like its in the corner of your living room 😂
Thanks! Hopefully we'll see a few more people giving it a go. Old school Vernier the way for sure, no batteries. The "workshop" is actually a tiny cupboard at the top of the stairs. I think my wife would be unimpressed if I actually did set up in the lounge...
@@Col_Pan1c thanks! It really isn't that bad if you have a bit of patience and accept you'll probably mess it up a few times before you nail it. These are good locks, hard to navigate but not crazy hard to pick, don't be too scared of them. Good luck!
@@alias12294 RWB will sell you a tensioner like the one in this video and pins to make the pick tip, but I'm afraid you'll have to make the tip yourself. That's why this video is here!
Never seen that clever core before & I've watched a ton of lock tear downs. Thanks for sharing that!
