    Mate this is a tool making masterclass. Really fast too. Well done. Hopefully this will encourage everyone to give it a go😎👏

      Thanks! Could probably do it in about an hour if I wasn't faffing around with the camera, but I've made a few of these now and that's probably not realistic for someone's first go. But yes, it's not that hard, fingers crossed more people will take on the challenge!

      Thanks! Using the grinder it's quite slow which makes it fairly easy to be precise as long as I stay patient

    Just what I needed. Thank you Chris, now I just need to find courage to work with power tools :D

      That's great to hear! It can be a bit daunting but really isn't hard if you've got a bit of patience. Of course, power tools do need to be treated with respect, so a bit of nervousness is good for keeping the fingers

    Hello! Please send me a link to the source material from which you make the instrument. What is the correct name for this product on Aliexpress?

    • @crispix
      @crispix  10 місяців тому

      Things come and go a bit on AliExpress so links won't be good for ever, but right now this works. You need 4*6 and at least 130 long

    Great tutorial! It would have been good to explain why you keep dipping the metal to water and what type of steel one should use for the picking tip if there are multiple options.

    • @crispix
      @crispix  11 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, that would have been useful, you're right. Not going to refilm it though, never mind

    • @MikkoRantalainen
      @MikkoRantalainen 11 місяців тому

      @@crispix Maybe add something to the description? It's not like it was missing a lot so it wouldn't make any sense to refilm the whole thing.

    Good work but i have a question what is the brand on your bench grinder ?

    • @crispix
      @crispix  10 місяців тому

      Thanks! Bench grinder is the cheapest one I could buy, £25 in Screwfix. I don't think they sell this exact one any more, but it doesn't matter, whatever you can get will do the job.

    Can you put the ally express link for ejector. I can't find 6mm sleeves

    • @crispix
      @crispix  10 місяців тому +1

      Items on AliExpress come and go a bit, so links won't be right for ever. RWB keep a stock, or (right now) these:

      You want 4mm pin, 6mm sleeve, at least 130mm long.

    • @Roadshome
      @Roadshome 10 місяців тому

      @crispix cheers Chris. I just got the pick from RWB with front and rear tips. Steve didn't have any spare pins and sleeves to make an abloy classic.
