Ingersoll 10 lever padlock picked
Picking a very cool but unfortunately rather dirty Ingersoll padlock. I wish I could gut this and give it a good clean, but sadly not.

Pick and gut of an Abloy Disklock Pro padlock. These a a bit different to the 2-way door lock versions as there is no disc controller, which gives much better access for picking tools and makes for a much easier pick. Abloy Protec2 picked and gutted. Fantastic lock and feels great to get it picked! Sorry the pick is quiet, I was concentrating very hard, and the gut is a bit slow because my hands were shaking! It's a fiddly lock to gut at the best of times and I underestimated how much the adrenaline would effect me. 0:00 Introduction 1:10 Picking - unlocking the DC and dealing with the back disc 2:06 Picking...

Interesting Ava core US military Miracle lock, tour of the lock, tools and one example picked and gutted. Artichoke2000 pointed me at this lock as possibly never having been picked despite being around for 60 years! Oxford HD Max disc brake lock picked

Oxford HD Max motorbike brake lock picked open. After watching other people's picks of Oxford DDs I was expecting a much easier time than I got here, that'll teach me to be complacent! Also quite tricky to work out a lock like this which can't be gutted without destroying it. FJM padlock picked - another good beginners DD

Nice chunky FJM padlock - a good beginners lock, a big step up in quality from the most basic DDs but only a touch harder. No false gates and clear feedback, but might need a bit of back and forth to get everything set. An ideal lock for a picker with a bit of experience looking to learn DD
Abloy 656 with US mil spec profile core picked and gutted
Переглядів 471Рік тому
Beautiful brass Abloy 656 picked and gutted. Quite an unusual lock, with a removable cartridge core and more (& thinner) discs than a regular Abloy profile. Slightly harder and definitely more time consuming than a regular profile core, takes longer to develop the feedback and it's well enough made that the binding order can't be forced, so lots of back and forth to get this picked. #locksport ...

Nice! no mean feat that Mate!
Great Job, tough critters for sure 👌👌👌👌
I've noticed that all the keys in your videos are new, fresh and shiny. Why is that ?
Not sure why they look like that. Pretty much everything I pick is second hand. I do clean stuff up a bit if it needs it but not massively, I'm not polishing stuff or anything. Maybe just the lighting, don't know.
@@crispix Thanks. Cheers.
I can’t do it still
Are you trying to change your combination or decode an open lock with an unknown combination?
@ I figured it out just needed some time I was trying to close the lock as it was stuck open I must of accidently fiddled with it and reset the lock code
@rebeccastrong2125 yeah, it's easy to mess up. Great job fixing it!
@@crispix yeah thanks I must of changed it while it was open without realising
How do you reset the code
Hallo wo bekomme ich das öffnungstool ? Oder die Nadel gibt's die einzelnt? Danke im voraus
Hey, the handles are from RWB custom picks. You can contact them on Instagram instagram.com/rwbcustompicks?igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw== I'm afraid if you want to pick this lock though you'll need to make the tips yourself. Good luck!
This is 60 min video and you have key ? Do it winter outside -15 celsius. Sorry.
Chew deer tail
@@markkumentula5561 why would I want to do that?
FFS get on with it it’s just changing a padlock combo
Username checks out
I design lockpick tools. The RWB pick is way overkill. Such designs adds friction and reduce feedback. You don't need all that metal, the fancy handle, and grooves.
Thanks a lot! Took me some time but did it 😂.
@rosvillepereira6311 great job, glad I could help!
Finally found the video about abloy with the new version key, so ill buy the abloy 330 with the protect key 😊
Amazing!
@@bradfordjeff thanks!
Minua huvittaa- nämä videdot. Se on totta, että avain kuluu ja lukon osat on messinkiä.
The forces operating these locks are very low indeed and brass is quite wear resistant, so I think the wear rate will be very low. The design of the lock means it should also be quite tolerant to a reasonable level of wear, although of course it would eventually wear out
Awesome video, saved me cost of a new lock. Had it locked and open again within minutes!
@@jennifergoldie8691 great job Jennifer, glad I could help!
Hello!!! Do you have any sentry abloy pick 340 for sale?...
@@alias12294 RWB will sell you a tensioner like the one in this video and pins to make the pick tip, but I'm afraid you'll have to make the tip yourself. That's why this video is here!

Hi !!! Do you have any sentry abloy pick 340 for sale?
No, I'm sorry, but if you check out my other videos there is one shows you how to make Sentry tip yourself at home
Can it be opened by knocking it against itself?!🤔 @McNallyOfficial
No
Awesome work. This one is on my bucket list.
@@Col_Pan1c thanks! It really isn't that bad if you have a bit of patience and accept you'll probably mess it up a few times before you nail it. These are good locks, hard to navigate but not crazy hard to pick, don't be too scared of them. Good luck!
This combed 😂
Now do it with the lock inside a door.
@@hahaayukko5543 sorry, I won't help with locks in use!
@@crispix It was more of a challenge than anything. I heavily doubt you can do it without a vise-grip. Which essentially makes the whole picking pointless. Until I see someone pick Protec2 with the lock inside a door I consider it unpickable.
@hahaayukko5543 oh, for sure. I would say it is functionally unpickable, i.e. so difficult to pick in use that it'll never happen. Even picking it like this in a vise is very difficult, and I did use some knowledge of the key. It's a fantastic challenge for a hobby picker like me, but I don't think it's realistic to pick one in a door or even on a gate or chain.
@@hahaayukko5543 What a F you're talking about? Vempele was made for Abloy's original (over 100 years old) design were the first disk was the tension disk. So pretty much locks made before -70s or something like that. Long, long, long before Protect core.

@@verbalDK1 no, sorry. Electronic locks aren't my thing
@@crispix 👍👍
Hello, can I buy tools for the wallpaper? This one, which is under the video.
I'm sorry, what do you mean by wallpaper? I don't understand
@@crispix Yes, I mean the tool.
@@Kot-26-07 The handles are from RWB custom picks, you can find them on Instagram here: instagram.com/rwbcustompicks/ ... but the tips are home made and not for sale
Thank you.. I have just managed to recover my forgotten code following this video
Related/unrelated question: How angle grinder resistant is the shackle of this lock?
It's a hardened steel shackle so it'll offer a decent amounts of resistance, but realistically someone with an angle grinder is going to get in to almost anything. For situations where destructive attack is a realistic possibility I would either choose a lock with a high shackle guard or a sliding shackle/shutter padlock
@crispix Thank you! My application is to secure a larger "portable" generator to a concrete pad with a floor anchor and 1/2 inch Pewag chain. I can place this lock under the edge of the generator behind the anchor to minimize grinder access. Have been considering a Litelok X1 (X3 shackle is too thick for this chain) for its angle grinder resistance when your video popped up. Very helpful! ATB! John
thank you you helped me to set up my password
My guess is that you can only open padlocks, since there are no tension on the core like door mounted locks have. Am I right? That is also a decoder?
@@XtreeM_FaiL interesting question. I've never tried a Protec 2 door cylinder, but I would expect it to have the sprung detent. This would definitely make my approach here more difficult as the feedback tends to be weaker on other cores I've picked with this feature. In theory more tension would compensate, so maybe it would be ok, but without trying it I don't know for sure.
thanks just did mine, i already watched this video about 8 years ago
Great job, glad I could help
Woah. You’re a legend!
There’s a quicker way to resolve: - Move the bar to the side. - find the point where it pushes all the way down (hold in that position). - Enter your new pin.
Helped me alot thanks, mine was open and locked, didnt even change the code interestingly enough But it felt like I was a night spy opening a banks gold vault 😊😊😂

Basically your tipycal picker wont get it open
@@progamersplay4716 it is a very difficult lock and requires highly specialised tools and skills. There are definately harder locks out there, but yeah, this is quite niche and functionally unpickable (i.e. no one is going to pick one of these in a real world situation)
@@crispix Which means that it's still better than the Abloy Classic locking system to prevent tampering/picking in real life use.
@@deepbluemania9679 yes. The classic is a good lock and very unlikely to get picked in use, but this isn't just a little bit harder, it's massively more difficult to pick
Started watching, ordered a new padlock halfway through. It arrived by the end.
Sorry I fell asleep….
Thank you !
How much does such a tool cost and how can I buy it?
Hey, the tool is a prototype, but you can buy the production version from RWB custom picks, here: instagram.com/rwbcustompicks?igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw== Unfortunately if you want to pick Protec² you'll have to make the tip yourself
Hey buddy, What country are you from ?
Can you repeate the same in "live" environment, where lock is not placed to bench.
I very much doubt I could. These are extremely difficult to pick, even in ideal conditions in a vise on a bench. A pick on video like this comes after much practice and many failed attempts. I'm sure it's possible, but beyond my current skill level. No one is going to pick one of these in use, a thief would cut it instead.
Virtually unpick able for a 3rd world country then ... i'm buying it.
No one is picking one of these in use, anywhere in the world! A solid choice if you can afford it
@@crispix yeah it costs a lot of money here in Pakistan, some 85,000 Rs !
i can pick it with papper clip
Yeah, it's a bad lock for sure! Very easy to pick with a bit of knowledge
Thank you!!!!!❤❤
Ok, where's McNally?? 👀
Somewhere in the North East of USA apparently, based on accent
I have this lock because i always wanted one. The key is quicker to open
I have 2 of these and they are an ideal size and weight for motorcycle. For a chain around a frame tube or direct to several types of disc brakes. Padlocks generally too small to be as useful as this. Also they are incredibly cheap. Fit three for the cost of one posh lock and frustrate the angle grinder! Now you've let us know they are not easy to pick, that makes them even better.
Yeah, it's very unlikely anyone is going to pick one of these specific locks in use, too hard and too specialist.
Awesome work as usual 👏 very delicate picking required by the looks of it mind you I presume you wouldn't want to put too much pressure on that tensioner 😮. Great gut and explanation as ever. Well done 👌🏻
Thanks! The tool feels a bit flimsy but it's surprisingly strong, I think because both ends of the arms are tied together. Which is good, because the lock needs a decent amount of tension!
