- I remember “Blue Sky” being the first Allman Brothers Band song I ever heard. I was instantly hooked and Dickey Betts was instantly placed on my personal Mount Rushmore of guitar players and singers. Rest easy, Dickey Betts..and thanks for everything. I bet the Allman Brothers Band are already playing some gigs on the other side.
This frigging rules..one man one guitar...years of talent....thanks buddy for sharing your skill...you Rock
Hillbilly Willy
Man I wish Trey would release a CD of cover songs. I'd be good with just him and a guitar.
Man I was just thinking this. Do it Trey!!
Do it!!
That would be awesome.
It needs to happen!!!!
Agreed! Excellent!
I feel like Tracy Lawrence, Tony Rice, and Keith Whitley magically became one person…
Yes sir. Tracy Lawrence voice. And nice playing.
Best guitar player on the planet. Trey is more than a fleet finger genius, he has impeccable arrangement skill and taste. Can’t forget his pitch perfect singing voice too.
You nailed it man. I mean the guitar playing is just other worldly but to have that voice too? Just astonishing
What a RARE TALENT we are blessed with when we get to hear Trey work his magic on a guitar with the addition of his resonant vocals. Always an outstanding performance.
We will just keep enjoying you as long as we can.
Jaw dropped, top top playing, Dickey lives forever through his prolific body of work, which ain't going away.
Holy shit. That was great! My favorite song ever, and the songbirds helped!
Thank you so very much Trey.
Your rendition is respectful and wonderful.
So good! Thanks, Trey!
Thank you. I had forgotten about that song. You made my world a better place today.
This man needs an acoustic live cover album. I’ve had his cover of “I Can Still Make Cheyenne” on repeat for ages. He’s got a great throwback voice for these older generation songs.
What a fantastic rendition of my favorite song of all time! Thanks Trey!
you are my new favorite guitarist
Love this song, glad i got to see them live a few times. That is some real fine picking! 🎸
I miss him too. Thanks, Trey!
Just a gorgeous rendition ! rip Dickey !

Such jaw-dropping talent for one person to possess. Personally, I think it's not fair.
Mighty fine work friend❤
Rest easy Dickey.

Great cover. Love the hint of Little Martha at the end
Awesome piece of work!
I've been lost and searching for anything that has a hint of Dickey. Your guitar sounds incredible and the rendition made me think that's how it originated... Brought another tear to my eyes with the taste of Little Martha. Bless you!!!
Beautiful interpretation, my friend.
Its unfair how good this is, Trey. Thanks as always for the content. Good stuff dude.

RIP Dickey.. well done trey and that yamaha sounds fantastic. A new touring guitar possibly??
R.I.P. Dickey, well done Trey, although listening to this made me wonder what a version with you and Tommy Emmanuel or Billy Strings or Rob Ickes, or all of you would sound, an overload of awesomeness!!
Grandissimo
Some little Martha at the end there? That was damn good as always
Sick pickin, dawg. RIP Dickey, can't think of bigger influence on my playing style.
Saw you a while back in Ashville opening for Leftover Salmon, been listening to you ever since. Killin man, keep it coming
I saw leftover salmon once. It was 1999 in Aspen CO with Widespread Panic & Ratdog. I like this dude especially the 90’s country.
How many Jesica’s are walking around today because of old Dickie. ❤
[hegseth] His name is faithful and true.❤
That’s some pickin worthy of Dickey
Respect!
Chills

Thank You Trey.. R.I.P. Dickey Betts..
Sure would be nice to be able to play and sing anything you want.
I sense that you know the blessing.
That FG9 🔥
🔥
You are unreal
nice
How about Trey gets together with a bunch of other bluegrass heavies and record Live at Filmore East. Perhaps live, like folks do for The Last Waltz?
Little Martha snuck in there….All Super
1/2 step down. Hmmm....makes it easier....killer version.
Sounds great, what mic do you use on videos? Just the one on your phone?
Thanks! Yeah, just the mic on my phone.
Your killer there Trey! What do you think about that new Yamaha. I have owned some cheap ones LOL
Thank you! I really like the FG9…great guitars!
