Hi David, this was helpful because Bri had one fitted on our old motorhome and I'd be confident fitting it on my van after watching this. Like you say, it's good to keep track of pressures in between visits to the air pump I use at the fuel station so if anything was amiss it'd be highlighted. Thanks for sharing this, Sue 👍
Thank you - the most difficult bit I found was actually getting messed up so best tip is to wash your wheels before fitting if you decide to get some - keeps an extra ‘eye’ out doesn’t it just incase you pick something up in the tyre when out and about or if something else happens - thanks again, all the best, David 👍
Thanks David. What a great little unit. I think I will get one. Nicely explained and very detailed. Thanks for putting that out I think it will be very popular. 😎🙏🧙♂️
Thank you, it’s one of those which is helpful and straightforward enough to fit as well as giving peace of mind. Another on of the jobs a bit easier as it saves needing to check manually so regularly. Would definitely recommend as working well and no issue to report since installing. All the best, David 👍
Hi, my comments always seem negative BUT I fitted a set(6) of these for an Ariva Lunar and Berlingo tow car, really worked well AND the alarm and solar charge technically made them " fit and forget" BUT I only had them for 6 months, but I found that they corroded in place and became difficult to remove to inflate the trees. I would suggest minimally for owners/ users to oil/ grease all metal to metal interfaces and metal threads. Thanks again for this and all your vids
David, thanks again for another very informative vlog. Our Wildax will now be on a Fiat base, instead of the Citroën, and we are not certain whether tyre pressures sensors are standard. Useful to know that these kits are available. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Sid and Nicola.
Thank you - I was expecting them to be as standard but if not included I personally think it’s well worth fitting some to keep an eye. Thanks again, bet you are looking forward to getting your Wildax campervan - all the best, David 👍
You’re a legend! Does your Ducato come with a spare wheel? Odd question I know but we’ve just bought a Hymer Ayers Rock (2021) Fiat Ducati build and theres no spare wheel
Thank you - yes ours did come with a spare wheel but notice an inflation kit was an option if you ordered a van from Fiat and the spare wheel was extra. I think a lot of converters don’t add the spare wheel from looking about, Elddis chose to, given they are part of the same group (Hymer Group) I wonder if they are using the spare wheel space underneath on yours or if it was to reduce weight and increase payload? All the very best David 👍
You do like your gadgets David, not one for me as the monitoring system on Mrs K's car gets on my nerves but I suppose a good safety feature. Cheers K.
I do but only when they are helpful in some way, this saves me needing to check every week and keeps a proactive eye so saves effort in the long run - so gets the thumbs up from me as a proactive safety feature 👍😀 Have a great weekend, all the best, David 👍
@@LeisureBit My daughter said earlier on in the year, that her car is warning a need to check the tyre pressure. I said pop round and we will take a look .. she has a slow puncture in a rear tyre. Thank you TPMS, because if you didn't tell my daughter to check her tyres, well she wouldn't. A Stitch in Time & all that.
Hi David. I just wondered whether you have any thoughts on the required tyre pressures on a 6.4 metre campervan. I have the Malibu Van Charming which is fitted with the Michelin Agilis Camping tyres. Michelin recommend an 80psi inflation pressure all round and the sticker on the door pillar states all tyres should be inflated to 5.5 bar. However, the Malibu handbook provides a chart giving recommended tyre pressures and based on axle loading when fully laden of 1720kg on each axle (as per the weigh bridge readings) the handbook recommends 3 bar all round!! I am currently running them with 5 bar all round but feel inclined to reduce them to soften the ride a little despite Michelins recommendation. Any comments would be welcome Dave
Hi Dave, I, not sure, there seems to be conflicting guidance on pressures. Might be worth weighing it and then checking on the tyre type pressure for the specific weight? It’s on my to do list to weigh the van and get the axel weights. All the best, David 👍
Hi David, I enjoyed the review but as usual I have something to say :) Do you notice any out of balance effect on the wheel? I'm guessing most motorhomes just dont go fast enough to notice any? One more thing, its good you tested them for a few weeks. Too many people review things that they hardy use. Would be good to get a follow up review in a few months or even years to see how reliable the system is over time.
Hi Daz - I’ve not noticed any impact on the balance - interesting you mention that as I wondered too - it’s pretty light but still imagine it would have some bearing however small / not noticed anything though even at upto 70mph - all the best, David 👍
Hi Ash thank you for your comment / question. When I am at home I have a mains operated air compressor but for topping up / taking in the van I have a re chargeable one - I actually have a vlog coming out on Thursday @ 4 to show which it is! 😀
Great piece of kit for peace of mind. Great video David 👍
Thank you - just keeps an extra ‘eye’ out doesn’t it to reduce things to check and worry about en route -
All the best, David 👍

What a clever little gadget , brilliant idea David ..
Saves you time checking and keeps a proactive eye on things - simple enough to fit too 😀 Have a great weekend - all the best, David 👍

Maybe you should check the tyre pressures, or reset the system if its the type that calculates a flat by tyre rotation/circumference?

Hi Dave, daft question,to blow your tyres or top up,do you remove the sensor or not, what do you need to do??
Great question- yes you have to remove the sensor to inflate or deflate the tyres.

Hi David, just wondering if you use a portable air compressor for the tyres? If so can you recommend? I’ve read the 12V ones blow fuses.

Hi, how have you found this after 12 months use ? Cheers.
It’s really good and still working well! Thank you x
