Hi Dan, after watching this video, and a tyre blowing out is a concern I have had, I bit the bullet and bought a two piece set. We used them for the first time and I have to say, they worked perfectly and I immediately had one less concern to worry about. I would recommend them to anyone. Cheers John
Sorry just seen this on their web site. The high temperature alert can be left at the factory default for most users. It cannot be set below 70 degrees on most models. This is intentional to avoid false alerts. This temperature will not be reached in normal operation, but will be reached if a sidewall is overstressed and in danger of a blowout or fire. It may also be reached if the wheel is overheating due to brakes binding or a wheel bearing problem
Hi Dan, I'm not knew to caravanning but I am finding your videos informative and interesting. Great family you have :-) As a result of watching this video and seeing the discount being offered, I have just placed an order with Tyrepal for a two wheel monitor. It has always been a worry of mine that we would suffer a puncture and not realise until it was too late. Next purchase will be the Solar Panel methinks :-) Thanks for testing and thus getting a discount for us. Finally tracked you down after watching the TV programme.
Hi John, thanks for your kind comments, and I'm delighted that you find our videos helpful. Yes the TyrePal system really helped us when we suffered a puncture, ironically the weekend after i recorded this video ! Without it I wouldn't have known we had a failure. Thanks for popping by, Take Care Dan
Hi Dan, thanks for taking the time and trouble to make these videos, it's much appreciated! We have just purchased a new caravan so are looking forward to trying out a couple of the sites you have been to. I have just ordered a tyepal monitor with 4 sensor's, our caravan being a Bailey Unicorn 3 comes with tyepal sensor's already factory fitted and only needed to add a monitor and extra sensor's for the towing vehicle. The company are very helpful if you call them with any questions and will take a order over the phone. The code you have by the way ran out at the beginning of November 16 so the told me. Thanks again Dan, hope you and the gang have a great time caravanning 😊
Hi, thanks for your comments - and I'm glad you were able to get hold of a new set of sensors for the car. Yes, please let me know which sites you stay at, we will be very interested to know how you find them. Thanks again Take care Dan
Hi. When you set the pressure parameters in the Tyrepal monitor the high pressure alert setting should be 20% higher than the recommended caravan tyre pressure and the low pressure alert setting should be set 15% lower than the recommended caravan tyre pressure. Great bits of kit these. I wouldn't be without a Tyrepal for my caravan now
Hi Dan, been using these for two years now, great bit of kit, I am thinking of extending to my towcar as well, but as I understand it the external sensors only last two years, and I was led to believe you could not change the batteries, I have emailed Tyrepal with no responce.
Hi, i can only speak on the sensors I have. These do have the removal caps, which reveal the battery inside. These can easily be changed and are common batteries (CR2032 as far as i can remember) and im not sure on their lifespan, but 2 years seems a little short. Are you sure your not confusing these with the Fit 2 Go, ? as far as im aware these are sealed units. Certainly no issue with extending the tow car as well. Dan
Hi Dan, many thanks for the useful information in the video. I am considering getting TyePal for my caravan and wondered if you leave the sensors on when the caravan is in storage or do remove them for security reasons and refit them before you next journey?
HI Dan...Been watching loads of you r vlogs..and others.. Great work. Could I ask, I have seen either on yours or another bloggers page, info on inflating Kampa air awning.... with a battery tyre inflator. Was it you? cannot find link on your channel...... If not what's your thoughts on this..........makita 18v tyre inflator...Have one already, so no cost..Just looking for info. Regards.
Hi Kevin, no not us. I’m not sure on the tyre inflator, the awnings are low pressure high volume, whereas a tyre inflator will be able to provide high pressure low volume, so it may take quite some time to inflate an awning. I’d use a hand pump to be honest, they are quicker plus you have more control over pressure.
Got a pair of these. Started to read the instructions and thought can't be bothered, headed straight to the Trudgians......thanks again Dan
