- Grace VanderWaal performs "Riptide" by Vance Joy, at a benefit concert for Valley Hospital Auxiliary's pledge to support child and adolescent mental health, and Valley's "Butterflies" program. Butterflies provides a team that plans and assesses needs for families caring for seriously ill children at home. (Ramapo High School auditorium, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey). Grace's covers are legendary - this is just one of many classics. In supporting this benefit fund, Grace continues to be a champion of those in need and continues to participate in various benefits.

Fredee. It's been a year and a month since we heard Grace sing Riptide at The Bean Runner Cafe, and the audience has multiplied in a way that she never imagined at that time, but certainly dreamed about it. It's nice to put it in perspective. Her next performance will be even more incredible and I imagine the audience shouting and acclaiming her as a consecrated artist. All this in just over a year!!!
That's our Grace. Able to do incredible and precious things.
+Dean F. My recollection is that those involved in the Bean Runner appearances sensed that Grace was going to make it big, just not as fast as it turned out. At barely 12 she was already a natural performer and writing amazing original songs. Missing You was almost forgotten on Perfectly Imperfect, but it's a wonderful song, so different and playful. Grace and her producers are going to leave many wonderful originals unreleased, I fear (like The Good Just Gets Better) because they don't make the cut for the album. Think about the level of talent and creativity it takes for someone her age to be able to do that!
When Grace sang I Don't Know My Name (and after I had time to watch it on my DVR about 10 times in succession) I knew Grace could win - I WANTED her to win! After she sang Beautiful Thing (another stunning original) I KNEW she would win.
She has grown as an artist sooooo much ,this is just great to see. LOL FROM AUSTRALIA

Coming up on a year since her AGT audition and nine months since she won. I know to many it seems as if she hasn't done that much, but it's all been quality, and there's so much behind the scenes that we haven't seen, not to mention the time she's been logging on her debut LP. If the throwaways are any indication, her album will leave people stunned. Yes, she wrote a slew of great songs on her own, but now that she's writing with other award winning writers, she's learning every minute, and doubtless getting better by leaps and bounds. I expect on June 21st, there will be a lot of people glued to social media to hear her new single for the first time. And the second time. And the third time. And so on. I'm going to love watching just how fast the views roll up.
jerry...i don't know about "it seems like she hasn't done that much"? to you? i hope not. i know you're one of her biggest fans. her schedule has been something that would be too much for most adults. i say it here, not to you, but for all the people that seem to think she's been quiet. i think what she's done is really spoil people. geez. saw a guy the other day calling her a one hit wonder. idiot (him).
+J.Michael Nolan Grace wants to make music and perform, and she's doing both at a staggering pace. Grace is also doing something few young artists have succeeded at - staying grounded and humble, living a mostly normal life, and relating to her fans and supporters on a personal level that is as inspiring as her music. What the detractors and trolls have to say is wholly irrelevant - Grace dismisses them and so do I.

+naSia Red "The kid" is not tired at all, She blasted through a week long Japan trip with two brutal time zone changes and still put in the best performance of her career two days later at Vidcon. Grace is a powerhouse!

I say kid cause she just became a teenager,shes is 13 years old
She is brilliant ,authentic and one of the most talented of her age
But she is still a child/ teenager and she is dealing with a lot of pressure

+naSia Red Apologies if I'm overly sensitive, but I see Grace getting grief for no good reason far too often. She's tough, and she sees it everywhere, but she's still young and I decided never to allow that here, hence the moderation. Just the word "tired" is a trigger, because of past comments she has had to deal with. Sorry. She definitely is having a great time, and the positive fan support far outweighs the negative. The lyrics of Moonlight definitely are personal to Grace, but are not about her, rather a friend. Also, I can't approve links, even in Greek, sorry.

I really don't think you know if Grace is worn out or if Moonlight is about herself is a friend. Props to you for running this channel, but you don't know her personally and you shouldn't be commenting on her behalf. OP is not wrong, Grace looks tired. And if you are right about her busy her past week or so has been, then she has every right to be. She is human, too.

No. There were no restrictions on cameras. It was a benefit at a school auditorium, not a concert per se. A vid-cam would not have been allowed at most venues.
