Imagine if Euron had been in the tv show!
Dan and Dave would never allow an interesting character to be in the show - itvmight distract from Captain Cardboard or the murder Ninja.
I know! I can't believe he was cut 😫😅
Euron was completely decimated the moment Dumb and Dumber decide to take "Mad Daenerys route" bulshit. Because you can not take a major character like Daenerys, do whatever bulshit you want to do and then expect no dire consequences for the story. Every major threat was converted into a joke in order to "prove" that Daenerys was the secret vilain of the story. Logicaly Euron should do EVEN less then Daenerys which in this case means basicaly nothing. Instead he was converted into enemy of her, but considering that "She was evil" how that could make Euron truly evil? He didn't do anything truly evil because his role was remade to just teleport around and destroy the "evil vilain's" armies. The same is true about the army of the dead. In order to achieve their idiotic goal Dumb and Dumber had to nerf the dead. Just like Cercei was doing practically nothing in the last two seasons while still being alive. Cersei wasn't allowed to do anything other then kill Missandei. Just like we never saw how literaly milions of people are starving as a result of the heavy winter. Because the problem wasn't created by Daenerys which spent 90 % of the story in Essos. So, basycaly everything BEFORE Daenerys's arrival becomes irrelevant because the red wedding, Ned's beheading, the war of the five kings etc. are not exactly proves about how evil Daenerys was ... in Essos. And after her arrival the plot is just about screwing her in Westeros ... I mean being very evil. Additionaly Daenerys was so evil and there were so many sings of that that somehow she ... didn't execute Jaime, or Jon, or Sansa, or Aria, or Tyrion, or Brienne, or Davos, or Sam, or Gendry. It is kind of hard to do even less then not executing enyone important because of how evil you are. So that's why Euron was a pathetic joke. And he is just one of the many victims of the mad bulshit idiocy
That wasn't euron that was norue

Did you know that the Old English name for October was Winterfilleth, they split the year into two seasons (summer and winter) and October is the month when the nights become longer than the days, so they marked the start of winter by the first full moon of October, when winter falls.
Omg?!🤯🤯🤯
The Hightower 3d was amazing!
If Euron's glass eye really is a functional mini-glass candle, then that would explain why he wears a patch on it: to stop other people using glass candles from seeing out through it unless he wants them to. Euron hasn't set foot on the Westeros mainland so far, so if Bloodraven's perception works through the Weirwood net, then he might very well not be aware of Euron yet. Indeed, that might be _why_ Euron hasn't set foot on Westeros yet.
Presumably he would still be aware of Euron through second hand information?
@@kenm1167 Maybe. It'd need somebody to talk about Euron by name close to a weirwood tree though, otherwise it's just "Iron Islanders reaving again."
I love this theory!
Oh man, so cool and makes sense to me
This is really cool! I love the idea of the two psychic nets having their own "territory". Glass candles are probably my favorite Chekhov's gun in ASOIAF, with so much cool magical potential
The Hightower art is gorgeous beyond words! All the props to the artist! Can't wait to see your upcoming Hightower/Oldtown content.
Tim and David compliment each other in such a great way. Tim just adds a lovely, expansive view on David’s unique ASOIAF symbolism knowledge. I always enjoy their joint livestreams. You can pretty much count on some spontaneous new ideas bubbling up on the topic they are discussing that add a fresh perspective. And it can be either one of them whose muse is triggered as a result of their joint dialogue. Plus the livestream brings additional insight of its own. The new graphics are stunning. I will enjoy watching how they evolve. Euron is always such a fun topic, as we ponder how he is going to terrorize Westeros in Winds. We all know that it is going to be a horror show. But like any good horror show the unknown and the anticipation have us on the edge of our seats. Thanks for another great livestream. It’s a wonderful distraction from the horror we deal with in the real world at this time.
It is so exciting that Season 2 of HotD is now just around the corner. Plus we have the upcoming filming and news of the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms to add to our collective enjoyment. It is really exciting to think that they have already cast Tanselle, Baelor, Steely Pate and more. The Dunk and Egg actors look great! The video of Young Egg getting his head shaved was adorable! I hope it is a great experience for the young lad and the entire cast and crew.
awww thanks so much Black Eyed lIly you're a real one
@@DavidLightbringer ❤️ BTW, I purchased a Reading Rhaegar t-shirt. His character is one of the joys of your channel. I guess I will have to consider a Nana Vhagar shirt. It looks great!
I accidentally intorduces my 65 year mother to the concept of Nanna Vaghar - now whenever Nanna V's on screen in HOTD she makes "Are ww doing war crimes today kidddies?" jokes in her best "nanna"/Doreen from Bluey
Voice.
This is beautiful
All hail your Mom!
Euron is fiction's greatest villain! It is know. ☠️👑👁
It is known... 😉
Hastur is a yellow abomination that lives under the seas? MY GOD HASTUR IS SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!!
confirmed
Whooooooo’s a yellow horror under the sea?
HASTUR SQUAREPANTS
The end of of days shall be signaled by the tearing of all veils....as he rips his pants.
A 3D model of Casterly Rock would be sweet too!
Maybe the 3d animation funds trust will have refilled by the times winds has released to commission casterly rock 😂
On the note of Loki and nets, Loki is captured with a net (the first net ever devised) when he flees from the other gods by turning into a salmon (the gods can't catch him with their bare hands so they invent the first net). This is when the gods have HAD it with Loki and lock him up underground getting snake venom dripped on him until Ragnarok.
Crap... I missed this live. UGH!
All I want for TWOW is that it has more of a horror feel. I want disease in the cities and a sense of famine and cold in the entire realm. I want to end the book thinking.... "How in the hell are they going to survive this?".
Same. I want a 'Feast' feel with optimum depression and apocalypse.
lol all I want is for it to get published.
These streams somehow just keep getting better and better. This one needs at least 2/3 views, so good.
Luci and Tim are the best duo on UA-cam. No competition.
It’s just perfection, really.
I have followed Luci since the days of his early podcasts and forum theories, to his days with Quinn and Grey Area and Amanda, and some who shall not be named..but to see LmL blossom and running the game makes my heart sing. He is truly a gentleman in his in prime.
His theories aren’t just theories, he has taken the time to acknowledge how George feeds us, not just clues, but actual narrative/story, through symbolism.
If anyone could continue George’s works, it would be Luci, he is the only one who knows what’s going on and Tim just compliments everything so wonderfully and his dry benevolence is endearing at the least.
The content LmL has provided could already last a man years, as it has with me. Moons of Ice and Fire, and Blood of the Other and the Green Zombies series are some of my particular all time favourite podcasts ever made.
But the recent content is just completely separating them from anybody within this entire community. They deserve everything they get and more.
And who can forget hits such as, let’s mance and never gunna Mance again!?
Tim just opened my mind to how fitting for ASOIF "The Sound of Silence" is! 🤯
Dude that hightower animation is cool af. Love the streams and videos
Listened on my way home from work, thank you guys for entertaining me through hectic melbourne traffic 🤪
Probably my favorite stream so far. The gospel both our glorious hosts spit was absolute gold!
Watch a lot of ASoIAF content on YT but the quality of both the streams and the videos are incomparable.
Thank you for all your hard work!
Always down for some Euron content! Gonna make a long night at work so much more bearable. Also the Hightower model is amazing!
I think we all know that Euron Greyjoy is gonna get hit by the Hightower after Leyton turns it into a nuke.
No the ground zero for the nuclear meltdown is at Storm's End, or so the people insisting ASOIAF is actually going to be post apocalyptic sci-fi say I believe
12:24 - completely off-topic from the main video ... but is it a world without elevators? I seem to recall manual elevators at the Eyrie and the Wall and wouldn't be surprised if there was something similar in the hightower
Didn’t catch the stream but wow wow wow!!! Awesome as always guys, thanks so much, getting me through some tough times❤
I found your channel right before covid and have been watching ever since. I remember the Pre-15k days lol. Channel has gone a long way and it has help keep me sane. Keep doing what you are doing Brother and thanks again.
Another brilliant video as always. I listen to them as I paint my ASOIAF minatures, really helps relax my overworking brain haha
@DavidLightbringer Great stream man, lots of good ideas and predictions... Keep it up, you're definitelly making my sundays eveni gs and nights... Much respect amd shout outs to You & Tim from Serbia 🇷🇸
Excellent stream loving the content as always!
I've been wondering what the payoff for Euron's armour will be recently and long term I'd love to see it fall into Jon's hands, however short term I have another idea.
Almost every time big heavy armour is mentioned in regards to boats its mentioned how bad an idea it is bc you'd fall in the sea and drown. I can so easily imagine Euron dramatically subverting that expectation by being knocked into (or jumping into) the sea then rising again, dead but not dying and stronger than before, cementing his almost god-like status
Always had a fascination with old town, the citadel, the tower, etc.

while listening to the stream without reading any written stuff, everytime the name Malora the Mad Maid was mentioned I heard the Mad Mage (which I think its a pretty cool wordplay if she is indeed a Mad Maid Mage)
Excellent conjecture regarding Euron and his motives for causing all-out chaos in Westeros.
“People of different color hearts.” 💜💜💜
OHHHHH that's what it was... I've gotten a couple of hard-to-understand personal attacks in the comments of this video, and that usually happens when I say something "political"
but yeah happy pride, fuck the haters
Just finished up a poster loaded with symbolism, so GREAT TIMING! I live for these ones. Gimme all that Woo
A like and a comment!
Ready to rewatch when the insomnia hits later!
The 3D Model with the fused stone fortress actually reminds me a lot of the tower of london. Obviously the sizings are diffrent, but nethertheless.
Loved the livestream, just wanted to ask, do you think Azor Ahai had two wives and that Night's Queen and Nissa Nissa are two separate individuals? I have this idea that one of his wives may have been a Deep One, it's mostly on the basis of the Durran God's Grief myth since I'm certain Nissa Nissa was some kind of COTF which would make her a woods maiden not a sea maiden so if he had two wives, then the other wife being a Deep One and that one being Night's Queen while Nissa Nissa remains trapped in the WWNet could work.
It's also tied into this idea I had of Azor Ahai stealing a Deep One princess as a hostage to force a peace treaty with the Deep Ones to stop them farming First Men when he arrived in Westeros and this along with killing their leader or leaders is how he would have won them over when he went there, I think of him arriving in Westeros as being rather akin to Caesar in Gaul.
I think it would also potentially work with the ice magic of the Others, ice is just frozen water, plus the practice of how the Others collect babies left in specific places is reminiscent of Deep One practices with children to begin with, another parallel is Craster gives his sons to the wood and it's implied the Others suck out their souls like vampires, the Deep Ones eat male children.
Also in many of the love triangles in the series it always seems like there's a very amoral or evil man with a morally pure woman and a much more morally ambiguous woman who is still a victim in her own way such as the Jaime/Cersei/Brienne triangle, the LF/Lysa/Sansa one and before that the LF/Lysa/Cat one.
These are just some thoughts I had, loved the livestream.
I should specify, when I talk of killing leaders I mean First Men leaders not Deep One leaders but maybe he killed some important Deep Ones too, you never know
@@seanslight1074 Dude I wrote a lot in response to this on my other account just to find out that even my comments are now hidden on this channel 😤 basically I agree about the two women thing. Also Brandon, Cat and Lyanna match that same pattern: amoral man, amoral woman, idealized woman. And when Bran peeps on Jamie and Cercei this a symbolic reenactment of what happened with the OG night king. NK warged into Nissa nissas partner as they were being partners if you catch my drift. They basically threw him out of his body and left him catatonic. In tyrions early pov we see the response to this event as they consider sending Sandor to kill the wolf. Sandor is steeped in hellhound/demon/shadow symbolism. I believe this parallels some faction considering sending a shadow to kill the corpse queen. Also it just dawned on me 😉 that in Jon 1, GoT, Myrcella and Robb are representing Nissa nissa and her lover.
@@seanslight1074p.s. read Bran's second Pov from the perspective that it is all symbolic for warging and a past event. Climbing=Flying and when he flips upside down, hanging man style, it's symbolic for being in the shadow world.
euron talking to the hightower’s through the glass candle, wow lml still finding this stuff is insane
I doubt Leyton needs a glass candle at the top of the Hightower, because I've long suspected that the Hightower itself is one huge scrying device. Given that it's construction is credited to Bran the Builder, who's reputed to have built at least two other structures confirmed to have magical properties (The Wall and Storms End), and the common saying that from the top one can see as far as the Wall, I think there's an implication that the ability to magically observe distant locations and entities is a built in feature of the Hightower itself.
After all, a glass candle is essentially a fire magic device, used in much the same fashion as the night fires the red priests do their scrying through. And it just so happens that the Hightower constantly has a huge fire blazing at its highest level. Which is where Layton has spent most of his time for 10 years. And I suspect that the Hightower's beacon is a more potent scrying device than any night fire or glass candle.
Just on the rewatch now looove a Lovecraftian Euron stream🐙also holy damnn DAVID THAT SHIRT IS AMAZING I NEED IT!!!!!!!
Truly excellent commentary on the sound of silence
Absolutely an image of valyria would be amazing
My head cannon is that the white stone of The Hightower is actually petrified weirwood. And given that cut weirwood is implied to retain some magical properties (the Blackgate, Jamie's weirwood stump, Brandon Snow's weirwood arrows) I think the Hightower could have access to the weirwood net or the "psychic highway". It's beacon fire could be the medium through which one would take advantage of this property. Allowing them to see as far as the Wall, as the saying goes. And probably further.
Leyton using the beacon to "see into the flames" is an interesting thought.
Really enjoyable livestream. Thanks guys 💕
Great stuff David!
Props to the artist! The high tower is perfection and I love that the flame can be green.
Hope Oldtown makes it out alright in the end. Oldtown and the Hightowers have all been a large part of my interest in ASOIAF Lore lately.
Ayoo the 3D Hightower is banging
Love this take on the Hightower... Definitely passed the vibe check with the arcane symbols and I especially loved the fused stone wall at the bottom... You can see the sheen, almost reminds me of leather, that finish. We appreciate it!! 😊
I'd love to see The Wall done like that.. or maybe one of the thrones. The Iron throne itself, or the oily black sea stone chair of the Iron Islands . Or that carved Table/ map at Dragonstone.. I'm drawing a blank on the official name at the moment , but I think that would be my top choice...
Night gathers and my watch begins
Love the High Tower commission! Looks bad ass. Also it would be cool if Euron's eye shows up on the other glass candle he's projecting to, sort of like the Eye of Sauron on the Palintir. Idk if that's how glass candles work, like if I have one and you have one can I look out of yours from mine?
You talk about this like 5 seconds after I wrote the comment lol
"that's called f---king teammmmworkkk" haha
Definitely a parallel with the space mead and the honey wine as mead is quite literally often a wine made from honey
“Beside him stood a shadow in woman’s form, long and tall and terrible, her hands alive with pale white fire…”
Dragons are shadows, and the shadow of a woman might be a woman’s dragon, ie Daenerys’s Viserion! Viserion will probably end up being be long, tall, and terrible, and of course with pale white fire.
“…as Euron and his mate laughed and laughed and laughed …” I really can’t imagine anyone or anything else being Euron’s *mate* other than a Dragon. I don’t think he could actually love anything else, well besides himself. Also, I can really see George using the symbolism of evil laughing to suggest a breathing fire. Funnily enough, this is actually one of the predictions I feel most confident about 😆 loved the video and the Hightower! Thanks a bunch David and Tim.
Also, I know people increasingly believe Cersei won’t team up with Euron, but when Daenerys falls through, the Bloodstone Emperor will take a tiger (or lion) woman for a bride. Cersei getting involved with someone who is infinitely crazier than her is perfect to send her into true madness.
I think it’s fitting that your first 3D project here was the High Tower aka a lit beacon aka a Light-bringer. Really cool, that was a neat touch!
So glad you guys are over Cersei as "Hands of White Fire". I've been saying for a while now that Cersi has nothing to offer Euron that he'd be interested in. The only reason Euron and Cersei hooked up in the show is that D&D weren't interested in introducing characters or story lines that would have required them to invest more than the bare minimum of effort into finishing the series before they moved on to other projects. So they compacted, cannibalized, and recycled all of GRMM's ideas to advance the same half dozen subplots they started with.
Melora is a crazy black magic woman, AKA Eurons dream girl. And she's still a maid cuz she's been saving herself just for him. 😘 They're a match made in hell! 😈
I know how they got the skull and the sword from the bottom of the lake! I live on the Mississippi near Hannibal (good ol Mark Twain stomping ground) sadly people and their boats often go missing.
Rescuers use the same tried and true method, (in addition to modern technology) dragging. It’s a long pole with some savagely large hooks on it. They tie a line on it and pull it through the water. Or tie two lines and a person walks down either side guiding the hooks. This could also be done from a boat. Once the dragon was found, more chains could be added by snagging it with hooks. Also, poking and feeling with poles or oyster tongs is still used.
Mystery solved. still, I like the idea of a Targaryen Aquarian recovery unit
I remember when George mentioned that when he watched all of Breaking Bad that he was both impressed with how evil Walter was, and envious because he felt like Walt was more evil than all the people in Westeros, so he decided to take it as a challenge. I don't know the exact timeframe of when this happened, but i really wonder if Euron was a direct result of this whole thing
I'm hoping and guessing that more than Danys dragons show up in the next books. I'd love to see Cannibal, especially seeing as how much cannibalism is in the books. Lol
That Lighttower looks great
Isn’t part of the Hightower a different type of stone from the rest???
The fused stone base is yes
Love the video. Thank you David and Tim. And the 3D Hightower art is on awesome.
@David Lightbringer I love the 3d artwork! If you need any more, I am an architect and 3d designer, and I can do some pretty cool Unreal Engine renders
Another possible Vega reference that may have informed George's choice is the game "Star Control 2" which had a secret human colony in the Vega system as the character origin
Sad I had to catch this one on the rewatch but the Hightower 3d was so dope!!!
To add to the M,S&T Euron ideas, after Ineluki’s body snatch on top of Green Angel Tower, it does indeed collapse with truly wonderful earthquake & end of the world language. My money is totally on the Hightower becoming the Fallen Tower
euron is a chill dude
Where does Timett son of Timett fit in?
Timett
My guess is, he fits in between Timett & Timett, before Timett but right after Timett, but not before Timett & Timett, & not to be confused with the Timett two Timetts before Timett.
…
Timett.
I doubt Euron will be possessed. GRRM doesn't really bring gods or supernatural entities on the actual scene. Also, supplanting a major character with a supernatural entity would steal their agency. Consider for example, if Jon and Dany were possessed by the heroes of the past and saved the world. Wouldn't all this character work and build up be robbed if they ended up as hollow vessels for an ancient supernatural entity to jump in from the background and steal the spotlight?
This is a really interesting take. I don’t necessarily disagree. I think it’s possible GRRM *does* have supernatural entities already “on the scene” as you put it, but they’re disguised. I immediately think of Patchface. I think it’s entirely possible Patchface came back as a literal vessel for some kind of lesser demon-drowned god-squisher pantheon member. I also think it’s possible GRRM will have actual “gods” or supernatural entities actively “come on the scene” eventually (likely in some corporeal forms, possessions, etc), assuming he ever publishes any other ASOIAF novels. Just because he hasn’t yet brought them actively out doesn’t mean he won’t; however, I do very much appreciate your point about such choices potentially depriving his human & human-adjacent characters of their agency. Considering a major theme of his is the consequences of inherently flawed people making difficult choices, I think if he were to bring “higher” beings actively out, he’d have to walk a very tight rope to avoid cheating his characters out of the stakes their choices risk.
I don't see why being introduced in a later book should exclude Melora or any other character from having a major impact on the narrative. Each book introduces new characters who become hugely important to the narrative going forward. Although mentioned in earlier books, Oberyn Martell and Mance Raider did not appear until the 3rd book. Euron himself along with Victarion, most of the dornish cast, and Marwyn the Mage did not appear until the fourth book. Even Griff & Young Griff didn't appear until the 5th book. And Howland Reed is still MIA, and there's no way he doesn't play a major role in the narrative from whatever point he enters onward. And let's not forget these are George RR Martin books we're talking about. TWOW is going to be massive tome. I think Leyton and Malora will have plenty of time to make an impression.
There's a thought- the Wall and the Eryie have winches so the Hightower probably does as well cause it would be ridiculous moving stuff around such a tall building without a lift. Hell with how smart the Hightowers and the Citadel are they could have had them first and introduced them across Westeros.
The Eldritch king rises!
The Black Gate is described as having sunken cheeks. I always interpreted this as the face being the hollow inside of the well (or trunk of a weirwood tree), and the other side they pass through is the outward facing side of the face, as seen on a weirwood tree from outside. Could this mean that the trunks of weirwoods are hollow, and COTF can use them to hide and travel underground?
"oh hey! it's those tow jewish fellas that talk about books and prophecies. Nice! I like their stuff!"

I'm on my way home so I can rewatch the stream
cool Hightower 👏👏👏
32:49 Vic is big everywhere but where it counts 🧠
The fire should turn green
I tend to agree with the conventional explanation for the line about 'waking dragons from stone' -- but is there a possibility Euron will summon some kind of dragon from beneath the stone fortress at the Hightower?
What about just the symbolism hinting towards that Bran is Bloodraven and Euron is in fact the vessel of the Great Other who is the Three-eyed crow and these two entities are diametrically opposed to one another. Trees symbolize life and Crows symbolize death? Or is that too simple for some like George to be hinting towards?
😂☠️ I'm sorry guys but the whole time Tim was talking about "space mead" all I could picture was at the end of 'Cheech and Chong's Next Movie' when Chong comes back from space with a beaker full of "space coke" while also being dressed like a stereotypical "Viking" in all black AND he just so happens to be wearing a head band that looks like Dave's horned crown he wears sometimes 👽🛸😈
Smart smart stoners lol
I think the dragon in the crypts is referring to Jon finding out his targ ancestry.
Holy shit holy shit holy shit, happy first weekend of Pride to us!!! The Hightower animation is so effin' cool, thanks for the treat!!! I made it to the last 2 minutes of live, immediately hit the rewatch button... and halfway through my baby sib's firstborn decided to follow Dany's stormborn example wayyy early (everyone's fine, if frazzled). High praise for and towering thanks to you both for getting me through a weekend of emergency menagerie sitting and horribly plotted hospital parking.
@DavidLightbringer, leads to Euron and the other magic users crashing together on the pyschic highway could def. be in the Arthurian stuff, I was white-knuckling my steering wheel 3:03--3:18 to resist hunting chat replay for relevant bits because I ~know the mods + more regular Discorders/patrons know their shit. Gonna have to go babble at 'em 'bout it after sleep.
@GreyWasteTim, careful! Those thousand eyes are ~listening.Took me four(? five?) tries to make it from 3:19 to end of stream tonight. Replaid calling out the King in Yellow and Sauron as mid-tier a few more times for the pure petty pleasure of it, tho', and can't effin' wait for your absinthe of Asshai!
2:22:27 Just wanted to point that the reason Odin sacrifices his eye varies, as myths do, but the most attested reason is that he sacrificed his eye for a vision of his own death (at Ragnarök). He saw his end inside the jaws of the wolf Fenrir, and thereafter sought to subvert his end.
The Hightower is awesome!! I hope we see it on HOTD S2🎉🎉🎉
Euron ❤ I see him calling out garland to single combat wit Valyrian steel
We need a virtual tour of Asshai at some point. I have so many unanswered questions
Having unanswered questions may be more satisfying than definitive answers.
Yay!
Got y'all with the like and comment 👍
I mean Neddels did it before. I am sure she is no Dragonseed. He taimed the dragon with sheep. Everytime she fed the dragon before flying.
Gorthow the Cruel he was named when Sauron was leftenant to Morgoth!
So if Euron happens to claim a dragon would then his bastards be dragon seeds like those during the dance?
Yahoo!
So yeah, a few corrections and mis-speaks on my part.
Mars as a wandering planet - I was referring to it as one of the 7 celestial wanderers in ancient Greek myth. Before the invention of telescopes. Mars has a fixed orbit. Its moons however are wanderers - Phobos is on a collision course with Mars while Deimos is spinning away from it.
I also mixed up the Hyades and the Pleiades at one point. Both are star clusters and both were important to ancient mariners for star navigation, but it is the Hyades specifically that Aldeberan follows. Anytime I say Pleiades here, I should be saying Hyades. I have brought great dishonor to my ancestors.
Also forgot to mention, had he lived, Rhaego also would have been a symbolic Shantak - Dragon Lord mother and Horse Lord father. The inverse of Bittersteel who had dragon dad and horse mom.
You misspoke?!? Canceled. Feeerrrrevvveerrrrrrrr
the clue in the smoking tower dragon is multilayered...
Everyone is looking at whether it was a real dragon, a metaphor, or just smoke...
what is in plain sight that EVERYONE missed is that this dire wolf HAS SEEN a dragon. Dire wolves don't have words for things they haven't seen.
The only way this wolf knows what a dragon looks like is because it has seen one.
Sure maybe it was just smoke... but this wolf has seen a dragon at some point.
George is a chess master.
this is how chessmasters leave clues.
OMGoddess, DavidLightbanger? Was that LML's fabled onlyhams profile?
just some Kingindanorf business haha
1:31:45 I don't Euron anywhere near my vesicles!
Aldeberaan is not a wandering star (those are the planets) but it is a variable star.
Theres a theory that corn domesticated humans, what if trees did the same in ASOIAF
Man i watched this right after the Great Empire of the Dawn livestream..my mind is so fcked up right now i think i read the wrong books!
Also Gray Waste Tim..what a smart person really great co-host, loving his cat Daemon.
Someone get my boy Tim a new mic or somethin lol jokes aside great stream 📯🐙 ⚓
If the eyrie has a type of basket/ elevator maybe the high tower has one too.☄️☄️☄️☄️
🎉🎉🎉
Are there any good channels like yours that you can think of that cover the red rising series?
The chain of influences goes back even further. The King in Yellow predates Lovecraft, it comes from Robert W. Chambers who published in 1895.
Media Death Cult channel did a good video on its origin and how it influenced Lovecraft and other things.
pretty sure Tim went into this too but my LC knowledge is more surface level
I've covered it in more detail on my own channel - my first stream on my own was reading Ambrose Bierce's An Inhabitant of Carcosa, the first references to Carcosa and Hastur, and Chamber's KiY story In the Court of the Dragon
I’ve always wondered about True Detective Season 1; Russ is obv pretty damn well-read, yet never mentions Lovecraft during the investigation. I guess maybe licensing issues or something, just always seemed odd to me it was left out of the script.
@methodsocratic King in Yellow was written by Robert W. Chambers. Carcosa is originally from Ambrose Bierce. Lovecraft would borrow both character and setting, but he is not their original creator.
@@GreyWasteTim I'm picking up what you're putting down, & I'm aware "True Detective" is a bit off-topic (not that there're any rules of that nature forbidding off-topicness lol), but I'm just saying, I found it weird that the True Detective universe acted as if those two concepts, "carcosa" & "the yellow king" were novel ideas. The main characters were detectives. It was their job to hunt down facts. They didn't have access to libraries? I'm not going anywhere with that, just a simple observation that I found quite jarring in an otherwise amazingly written series.
