That ending is Tatiana's Gwen Stephani/Amy Winehouse influence coming out. This song is actually from their very first full length album more than 10 years ago. They were at a festival in Kyiv Ukraine for this one. There's actually another drum kit off to the side back stage that she was standing by while waiting to go on.
I describe the outro as a reggae-blues-jazz fusion - reggae riff & beat, blues guitar solo & jazzy vocals. This is a protest song, and Tatiana is a huge fan of Bob Marley, who was a reggae artist well known for his protest songs, so I take the outro to be Tati's hat-tip to Marley. Home Back official music video next. It's an anti-war song inspired by Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea & occupation of eastern Ukraine. The OMV illustrates the lyrical themes perfectly. The music is *heavy*, as are the lyrics, with a surprising interlude a little over half way through.
Tatiana also sang reggae/jazz vocals for a former band of hers and as a solo singer while she was in college so the reggae/jazz thing is definitely part of her as an artist personally as well
My vote for the next Jinger song would be Home Back. Put them at the top of your "must see live" list (especially if you can catch them headlining a show) because they are even more amazing live ❤ (Eugene knuckle bumped me at a show this past summer, and I've never been the same since...in the best way possible 😂)
Noice! Eugene is the man! And how many world class bands could you get that opportunity with? So awesome that I can get up against the rail for $30 with my favorite band inn the world!
This is one of my very favorites. It's got everything. Roman's guitar tone is one of the best I've ever heard. That beginning is so sick. The intertwining bass parts are just . The tightness of the band during the staccato verses is monstrous. And her screams, especially at the end, are just everything. When she drops down to her lowest gutteral, and the band makes you headbang in 9/8, there is very little in all of music that excites me like that. Then she hits her highest scream. To die for! So beastly! Don't fucking step aside!! That shit is as metal as it gets! And BTW, it's a song about environmentalism. That makes it even better! Slava Ukraini!
Yeah...Somebody had to follow that...(Next band backstage: "Fuck!") Pretty sure I would still be thrilled if it was just an instrumental set and all she did was dance like that for forty five minutes...
People talk all the time about how not flashy Roman is as a guitar player and how he really doesn't play many solos.... one of my old friends who was a very accomplished guitar teacher for many years had to rewind the solo at the end of this song TOO MANY times to figure out what the hell was going on. I also showed him the guitar playthrough for Captain Clock and he was like "this guy is a fucking animal"
Total agreement. Roman is kinda the overlooked Jinjer, but his sound is everything for the band. I love watching the playthrough videos because you can really see the compositional genius and the crazy playing skills. His speed rhythm picking is like Hetfield hold my beer. His chord voicing choices remind me of Alex Lifeson. Rumor is that the upcoming album will showcase Roman's talents more than ever! I don't need solos, but I wouldn't mind em either, especially from someone of Roman's ability.
I believe you are ready for the following: Judgement & Punishment (One Take), Sit Stay Roll Over (Alive in Melbourne), Home Back, The Prophecy, Mediator. Enjoying the journey so far, keep 'em coming 🤘😁🤘💙🇺🇦💛
An older song, from their first full album, Cloud Factory, recorded with the 3rd drummer Yevhen Mantulin (Vlad is the 5th and current). Yep, you weren't ready. lol. You won't be ready when you get to Home Back or Judgement (And Punishment) either.😁
This is an older song that was rearranged for a different tuning and for a single guitar (initially it was in drop C and played by two guitarists) but it already showed why we can't put Jinjer in a single genre. And I'm not talking about Metal genres, I'm talking about ANY genre, because their musical versatility is so big that everything goes. 🙂
A lot of bands are out there trying copy other bands. Jinjer is out there doing Jinjer they are eclectic but still original, they have their own sound and don’t always stay put in a musically defined box. This is one of my favorite performances, there a lot more live performances to check out.
You should check out Bad Water official video or live, both are awesome. No growls whatsoever in this song. Not many reactors react to it. I think it's a very underrated song.
This is so much better than the album version.....as are most Jinjer live performances. I saw them last year and they are undeniably fantastic live. A potential next stop: JINJER - On The Top (Live In Kiev) | Napalm Records EDIT: I just realized you have yet to do Jinjer at their most brutal: JINJER - Sit Stay Rollover (Live In Melbourne) | Napalm Records Cheers.
If you want your mind blown again Jinjer - Home Back (Official video). m.ua-cam.com/video/0t_I_ghmXIQ/v-deo.html This song is about leaving their war torn country of Ukraine. Very deep song for them. “ This house is not our sheltering anymore.” “ I came back home so I want my home back” “ Don't you leave us homeless!”
Jinger is crazy. I'm just starting to get into their music. You ever heard of Periphery? I'm not a Periphery OG but Wildfire would be a good place to start.
Jinjer. The band that will throw anything and everything at you in one song and you’ll like it.
JINJER...the best

Other bands wear Obituary shirts. Jinjer comes out wearing Tom & Jerry and then melts your face off.

Lol like the lil cam shaking effects during the breakdown and when the jazzy section starts 😂😂
Jinjer - Call Me A Symbol (Official Live in LA)
Nice reaction! Judgment & Punishment (Jinjer) - Tatiana's one take, diffrent again if you've not heard or done it yet

you need to do Home Back if you want you mind blown
They kick ass live.

The breakdown is so dirty, you feel it in your core.
This song is such a Banger! I love how Jinjer has no rules when it come to song writing!
Looking forward to this one.

Knew you'd like this one. Gutteral voice like no other
Love jinjer
Gotta do SIT STAY ROLLOVER my guy.. lmao or Call Me a Symbol. Banger. Or Ape. Or Dreadful Moments. Or Retrospection
You should check out Bad Water official video or live, both are awesome. No growls whatsoever in this song. Not many reactors react to it. I think it's a very underrated song.
4:10 you gave me a flashback when i saw sick of it all for the first time that gave me the exact same feeling haha
Just booked a trip to see jinjer in Prague in November. Gunna be EPIC!!!!!
just keep in mind, Tatiana is making all of this with a smile on her face, she and the band are awesome, saw them live several time...always fun!
Time for I Speak Astronomy. Official video. Yet another different style.
Jinjer Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev
They like to throw in some reggae here and there. Tatiana used to sing in a reggae band before Jinjer and she was wearing dreadlocks for a long time.
Call me a symbol next please!!)
!!!

Cheers.
Another one from Jinjerthat surprize by styles combination is Judgement and Punishment - One take vocal.. You could try it!
told ya ;-)
If you want your mind blown again
Jinjer - Home Back (Official video).
m.ua-cam.com/video/0t_I_ghmXIQ/v-deo.html
This song is about leaving their war torn country of Ukraine. Very deep song for them.
“ This house is not our sheltering anymore.”
“ I came back home so I want my home back”
“ Don't you leave us homeless!”
Then the perfect song to back that up with is Retrospection (live in Melbourne). Following a simular homily feel.
Such powerful lyrics. In Tatiana's deepest growl. "Home is not a building. Home is liberty." That hits as hard as anything I know. Absolute gut punch.
Jinger is crazy. I'm just starting to get into their music. You ever heard of Periphery? I'm not a Periphery OG but Wildfire would be a good place to start.
Watch the video for "Retrospection" next.
Reggae at the end
man, give us some volume going forward please ?
wait till you get to "i speak astronomy" and Call me a symbol.
