    Good to know, I just did a build in a Sky Two GX case, and if I run into this issue my B550 tomahawk max wifi has plenty of headers.
    Worse case I may need a splitter for the front 3 case fans, I already have a splitter for 2 I had previously.

    This was a great video thanks. I am also having a problem with the hub for the Air 930 Max case but the total opposite. My fans are running at a blazing speed and it’s loud even when idled. I have an MSI B650-P WiFi so I am fortunate to have the fan ports. This is my first build so I wasn’t comfortable enough to mess with the BIOS.

      If you haven’t fixed it already, I had this problem also and all you have to do is connect the fan hub using the small cable on the bottom left of the fan hub. Then go into the bios, select the system fan connector you plugged it into, and change the fan type to PWM (if they are the built-in case fans). I just did this recently and now the fans are like 5 times more quiet. Unfortunately, You will have the zero RPM issue. Hope this helps.

      @@Pulsars8 hello there I have the same case with this guy and the same problem .
      I just bought a montech air 903 max and my fans are running at full speed and I don't have enough ports on mobo.Can u explain better the solution cause I don't understand the way you said it ?

    Thanks for this video, it helped me get my fans working!
    The rgb on the fans doesn’t work though. I plugged the rgb hub into the jrainbow socket. Where did you plug yours in?

      My motherboard is MSI and it has headers labeled ARGB These are 5v, 3pin, addressable RGB connections. ARGB fans have two wires; one for fan power, one for the lights. Hope this helps!

    This is hellpfull thanks. I have the montech air 903 and i need to control front fans with the switch. RAM lights through another program, and then my GPU light through another program. Its a pain. So i gave up and set everything one collour.

    I'm having same issue Anidees Fan Hub, I tried connecting a fan to all different connections on the HuB and still no readings.. It must be cause it's a cheap brand for a Fan Hub.. PWM is working properly with all the fans connected, so I'm not too worried..

    This is just a work around for a faulty hub. You should have returned it rather than doing a dodgy work around.

    I'm planning on getting this case and I hope my hub will work, because I only have two system fan headers on my mobo. But just in case, can those front fans be daisy chained?

  • @shnake5141
    @shnake5141 Рік тому +1

    have you tried to plug the front two fans in hub and back fan direct to motherboard, then connect hub to system fan header and control the hub as DC ( I had similar problem with MSI motherboard in past with different case. Also look for Bios update). I hope it will solve the hub issue.

      Hello! Of the many combinations I tried, I’m not positive that was one of them. I’ll give it a shot. This case came with all 3 case fans pre-installed and connected to the included hub. Months later I am still really liking this case, but the LEDs sometimes have a mind of their own. One caveat is that it it’s too small for most RTX 4090 cards. The 4080 barely fit.

    My cable melted for some reason. I am not sure if it was related to it not being plugged in all the way. It seem to be connected correctly

      Probably a 5v argb fan (designed for 5v hub) plugged straight into the 12v motherboard

    • @TheBIMCoordinator
      @TheBIMCoordinator 9 місяців тому

      @@malcolm8176 Thanks for the reply. That is probably it. Instead of taking the build apart and returning the case, which the computer place recommended doing, I bought another hub(not sure what the voltage is). The first hub controls the RGB, and the second hub I attached controls the fan's RPM. It may have also been a short in the wire or something. I couldn't find the same wire to replace it.

      When you can afford it maybe get something like the gamemax triple pack which comes with the hub. The 3 pin connectors and the 4 pin power all connects into the hub. The sata cable straight from PSU powers the hub and everything then there's one connection from your hub to the motherboard. On mine I've left the standard CPU fan plugged into motherboard but will upgrade that to ARGB at some point. Best of luck with it all

    i've got the montech air 903 max with the 4 case fans connected to the hub, and the connector leaving the hub connected to my motherboard in a cha_fan port, but the thing is they don't seem to get any slower than 600 rpm, even if i try to set them at 0% with fan control app. Need to mention that they can go higher so I have control over them. Is it that they can't go any slower than that or what's the catch?

    • @Andy-ck9ti
      @Andy-ck9ti 5 місяців тому

      nope, it seems the minimum rpm they were hardcoded to work at is 600, only solution is to change the fans

      I wonder if you can chain some of the fans together. I’m thinking for example if you have 3 front case fans, it would be OK if their RPM was all the same, perhaps they can be chained together and connect to the motherboard in one spot.
      I checked Amazon, there are definitely splitters available for 2 and 3 fans to connect to a single spot on the motherboard. That may be an option

    heyy so might be a dumb question, but does this just mean that the fans still spin, its just that the motherboard cant read the rpm? im interested in buying this case and i dont really plan much on controlling the fan rpm

    • @_MexMed
      @_MexMed Рік тому

      Yes, they are spinning at full speed. But I have them adjustable in bios, dc. Only they do not stop completely, but in the range of 40-100%. I connected them directly and adjusted the adjustment on the video card for complete silence with the program.

    • @renaissancelaboratories5645
      @renaissancelaboratories5645  Рік тому

      Hello! With the fans connected to the fan hub, and the hub connected to the motherboard, the fans do spin. However, there doesn't seem to be any intelligent RPM control, and the motherboard isn't reporting RPM. I suspect it's because the hub is for PWM, but the case came with DC fans. I think I have a spare PWM fan, will test this theory at some point.

    • @_MexMed
      @_MexMed Рік тому

      @@renaissancelaboratories5645 I think this is because the controller is powered from sata and the motherboard does not see it or there is a conflict because of the power supply. Even if the controller is not connected to the motherboard, the fans are still spinning. I connected a PWM fan and it behaves the same with the others and separately as well. The PWM is not regulated. When I have time I will check this theory, I need to disconnect the auxiliary power and see how the adjustment will work. But I suspect that then the backlight will not work. My motherboard does not support RGB.
