Got this case six months ago, its served me very well! Detatchable side panels are great, I did some spraypaint art on them for extra customization. Great case ^-^
Out of all the stressful purchases (and some frustrating regrets) I've made for my first new build in almost 12 years .. I am so happy that I found out about this case, and managed to score it for the MSRP of 75 (for the black version). Thanks for the confirmation bias (lol) and the great review and build video. Please know you helped an old computer guy get back into the game. Hoping all the best for you and your channels growth. ☮
I too am building a new rig with this case here's my box contents.... Montech AIR 903 Max coupled with the Montech Titan1200 PSU, I7 13700K, GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS Elite AX MB, Kingston Fury Extreme 32GB DDR5 6400, 2 WD M.2 SSD Gen4, and a Gigabyte 4070TI Gaming OC 12GB card. This is my final build I'm 53 and figured let's go out with a BANG! Good Luck in your build! My last build was in 2011 and it was seriously time for an upgrade.
It's a good case, being both affordable and functional. If you set it perpendicular to you, with the fans facing away from you, less of the fan noise will reach your ears. My only regret is that I didn't spend a little extra to get the white version.
Genuine question. What powers the hub for the coolers? Assuming my motherboard can output only 1 Ampere max through a single fan connector, wouldn't it be cooked if all 4 coolers were plugged into a single connector? Each 140 mm cooler that Montech provides draws about 300 mA if I'm not mistaken, giving a total of 1.2 Amps.
Can't wait for these to come to the UK. Hopefully, they'll be available to buy here around November when I'm planning on building my new rig. 😎😁😎 Am also hoping that they'll be a straight dollars to pounds conversion rather than being more expensive. 👍
Thanks for the review. I think I'll hold out for the smaller atx Montech X4 (4x argb fans incl only $60!) and Sky Two GX (3x front 140, 1x 120 rear argb fans $100) coming soon. Montech is killing it lately!
@THE-X-Force I got this case in the end. Besides the lack of an extra front filter, I am pretty pleased with how it works and looks. Probably worth saving the 33% cash.
I did my first build two days ago using this case. The one thing I noticed is that the case fans are running extremely fast and loud even when idled. I’m not comfortable with changing the BIOS since idk what’s considered safe to do without damaging my components. I am thinking of bypassing the hub and connecting each fan directly to the motherboard.
@@geogadget1connect fan hub pwm to your any mobo system fan pin, then go to bios, find fan controller and go to your system fan (ie: you connect it to system_fan2) then from DC change it to pwm, then you can control your fan speed.
Hello, I have this 903 max. I want to change the front fans for 3 ARCTIC P14 PWM PST A-RGB. These Artic fans are connected in a chain. My idea is to connect the last PWM connector in the chain to the FAN 1 port of my motherboard and the 3 ARGB of each fan also go in a chain. Could I connect the last ARGB connector in the chain to a single connector on the hub or do I necessarily have to connect each front fan to a 3-pin connector on the controller hub?
Good review, thank you. A question - are those stands at the bottom removable? I keep my PC hanging under the desk, and those stands will got in the way of the pc holder.
Why liquid cooling on a case with "Air" in the name? I just think a tower cooler would be more interesting. Thanks though, seriously considering getting this.
Seems like one of the best budget cases I've seen. Thumbs up.
Thanks

Love your unbiased reviews. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Looks like a ton of value for the money. Thanks for the review
No problem

Is it possible to turn off the rgb ?
@@vicnp Yep! The manual is on their site and will explain how, and answer any other questions. Best of luck ☮
Amazing video. Just got this case because of you and couldn't be happier!
thank you for doing this man, i hope montech send you the montech sky three, GD & GX as well as the king 95!
Yes, they have some good cases coming up

I just got this case and the build and cable management is S tier a really good case id recommend Especially if you upgrade it
Upgrade how? .. You mean with liquid cooling, etc?
@@THE-X-Force yeah that or if you wanna add a big beefy gpu like a 4090
Great addition at this price point.
What do you think comparing this case to the lian li lancool 216?
Montech air 903 ou cooler master td500 mesh? Tem alguma opção melhor?

Any information on the specs for the USB C connector? Is it 3.1 or 3.2? If 3.2, is it 2x2 compliant?
Would a 7900x fit in this?

How does it compare to the similarly priced Phanteks XT Pro?
Will a arctic liquid freezer iii360 fit?
Do you need a argb header on your mobo for these fans to work? can you just plug a sata in and you can use the led button?
You know what? Now I don't know if I still want the DeepCool CK560. This Montech model looks very nice. Which one is better in your opinion?
How does this compare to the lancool 216? The 216 is out of stock where I'm from...
The 216 is 33% more cash .. but I don't think it's 33% better of a case.
@THE-X-Force I got this case in the end. Besides the lack of an extra front filter, I am pretty pleased with how it works and looks. Probably worth saving the 33% cash.
@@ewcq11 Agreed completely. I just got this one as well.
Reminds me of the NZXT H7 Flow, at least from a function standpoint. Just cheaper. Thanks for sharing the info.
Man i cant wait for this case to release in Indonesia
Does it come with enough air flow or do you need extra fans?
yes
Does it come with the vertical gpu tray mount?
great site and reviews. Sadly the Montech case you reviewed is not available in the UK
What vertical mount is that??
Really impressive case. They really make 100 dollars case for 70 dollars.
I have 2 of these I like them. where did you get the white vertical gpu mount?
I like the case, but individual front panel headers are a drop dead deal breaker for my stiff old hands.
I finished my build in this case last night. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the case fans are loud pretty loud. Is there a way to fix that?
Bought the exact same case, have the exact same issue. Did you ever find a way to reduce the noise?

I've got the same question. Did you ever find an answer?
Is the fans noisy?

Wouldn't that block air flow?
it would be much better if at the front still got dust cover after mesh panel like 1000lite
👍Comes with 4x140mm fans! Nice...really..
Welcome Biostar.
This or Lian li 216?
Lian Li lancool 207.
Hi Chris, can you suggest a good but also a budget motherboard for a i5-13600k and a 4070ti Build?

102° C on the cpu is crazy high! Is this a laptop?
My guy builds a PC every day.
How did you get the gpu to mount vertically?
They sell an adapter at their site. I think they are out of stock though until Q4 this year.
Woah woah 102 celsius underload? Did you mean farenheit?
Nope. Depending on the motherboard used, this is sadly "normal" for Raptor Lake (Ryzen too), unless tuned of course.
@@Totto70770 lol I learned the hard way. I ran cinebench r23 on a ryzen 5 5600 stock cooler and I hit 95c, mind you I have 3 intake and 1 exhaust fan

Yes, they keep getting better
