8 grand ..I love what you said you feel bad for person lost it ..Because I lost 2 of um out of past 20 years some most all my family past photo was there..But part life ❤God Bless
I worked for a guy who did the storage auctions. He had a online store and a physical second had resale store. He did pretty good!! Me and another guy was responsible for going and cleaning them out and it was a butt load of work. I would say that 3 out of 10 was completely worthless!! But he paid us good money for doing it. It was like a new treasure hunt every day plus we got dibs at reduced prices if we wanted anything ❤. Good luck on your sales guys ✌🏼
@@dafalzonAUS the man hour involved in selling each individual item online for a larger profit is most likely something that would cost these facilities more then if you or I done it. It’s easier and probably more profitable for them to just auction them off
@@dafalzonAUS they are in the business of renting out units to make money not selling individual items at a flea market. just look at it this way, they are not paying someone to haul off other peoples junk which quite a few of these units can be but they are getting paid by someone else to clean them out for them. sounds like a win to me, especially if it isn't worth much, if by chance it is that person gets a bonus then. why should they take the time themselves to do it? get it cleaned out and on to the next renter. Most storage units I know have a waiting list to get in around here so it is best for them to get it rerented as fast as possible. When I built my own private one it was amazing how many people showed up here wanting to rent a spot and couldn't believe I was filling it up myself but I was bringing everything home I had stored at other places.
That was a great buy. For me I really like watching you and your dad together it brings back memories of all the stuff I use to do with my dad and, it's great that you always mention the fact that you enjoy spending time with him.
Love that you are doing this with your dad. I'm trying to get started again to give my son's something to do to make their own money. We bought a few before covid and did really good but it's hard finding units that aren't overpriced. Keep us posted on how y'all did with this one. $2800 profit for the last one is awesome. Keep 'em coming.
Most times you need to broom/sweep them out or blow them out to get your $100 deposit back. too many were taking just the good stuff and leaving the junk so now you pay a deposit on top of your bid.
I rarely watched this storage look finds and you hit a jackpot with this one. I luv the ladder. I am so confused that wasn't a bidding war on this unit
❤Love you understand said feel said who ever lost it ..I lost 2 past 15 years it suck hurt bad ..I pour concrete for living vid stuff lost everything..But good lord got me long im trying keep staying clean sober 1 day at time ..Love you spend time with your dad .My dad was not just my dad but my best friend miss think of him every day😢 ..Once i get back on my feet caught back up i like start doing car storge auctions..I watch guy long time ago called people who own it gave them some there family pictures what not back was cool ...God Bless ❤ Keep video coming i look forward to them..😊
thank you bud for the nice works!! Sorry to hear you fell on some hard times, but you're taking one day at a time. You can do it!! Life is short, gotta make the best of each day!! God Bless you and cover you in strength
I understand that there are a few scammers out there that put empty boxes in the storage or maybe the storage office ripping you off 😞 I knew a person in CA that did just that. They cut the lock off and then go through and take what they want. After all, who took the pictures of the units? Awesome job, just be careful and safe. ❤😊
I kind of feel bad for somebody that might have lost all of this. It makes you wonder what might have happened so bad in their life that they had to give all this up. It's been a screwed up time in this country for the past couple years I wouldn't doubt it that it might have be some of the reasoning that they would have to give up everything they've worked so hard for, and that's sad. But then again you never know. It really breaks my heart to hear people go through shit like that.
I'm trying to find a unit that was auctioned. A friend of mine was going through some stuff, had moved, and forgot to pay. Now the quest begins to find a lifetime of worked for hobby items and memories. It's majorly sad. I would hope that some of the buyers, at least, try to find the owners of these units. Because I can say with full confidence the unit that was put up for auct last month.. definitely wants to pay what was owed and get her things back.. asap. When there's a will, there's a way!
Awesome buy Brad and Doug. I think your right on point with your valuation. That stuff is really good. Great video as always. Good luck in this venture.
Great buy! People are sleeping on buying storage units! I've been buying them the last 8 years, and have paid off my house, and a few properties I own! Over the Year's, I definitely made some darn good money
Great buy guy's. You got very lucky this time. My buddy use to buy units and resale the items sometimes he done good but a lot of times he lost his ass. Best of luck with buying any more hope they turn out has great has this one. Thanks for the video stay safe and keep up the great work.
My family owns a storage facility. What we do is film ourselves cutting the lock (so we can see what is in the unit from the door for a public advertisement and reasonable sale.) Then we put our own company lock on the door along with a serial numbered seal which can only really be broken off. The seal lets the bidder know we didn't enter the unit after recording the video of the lock being cut initially. Anything short of that is suspect, but you can do you.
For us, we aren't making money off of what is inside a unit which gets auctioned. We make our money when people pay their monthly rent. It's enough money not to waste our time putting ourselves in legal jeopardy over anything which might be sneakily scavenged from a unit.
Dude, keep the Nascar stuff. You can pass it down to your kid one day. Plus, you will always have that story to tell them when ya get old! That was a good lick!
You should donate the suitcases to a children’s home or DSS. Foster kids are given trash bags for their belongings when they are moved from place to place. I know the Nazareth Children’s home on 152 near Salisbury would take them.
Gotta luv the clandestine lap-payment cam. Lol. Geez, you guys scored big again on your second outing! Are you getting kinda hooked on these storage finds? I can see how it could happen easily enough for me and I figure a lot of people can relate to the allure of it. The R. Mann frame might be worth anywhere from $400.00 to over $6,000.00. Those NASCAR parts and items are a collectibles memorabilia dream.
Im currently sitting in one of those love- sac's they are hella comfy. Takes up some room but i love it . 🤘🏼i spend my whole day in it since im an disabled automotive tictokrr
#braddeberti Your right on the part they are not to cut the lock off until you are there. I See a few thing I would love to buy from you. But what it would cost in shipping cost its not worth. I live in Central Missouri. Shipping cost it would be crazy. I would say if you find the right person on some of the things, Your going to make 10gs to 13gs. The Nascar stuff is where you will make the money. An the pictures. Awesome score Brad, Wish I lived closer.
Would be cool to build a big shed down by the track some of the tools an nascar stuff use find could hang up in the shed have a full race theme an everything to fix them there by the track instead of spending heaps on new tools could show people how to get good deals an have a nice set up cheap
I had got my nephew into buying things from auction, we were just buying pickup trucks from the state D.O.T. , he went and took it to a whole new level. So he took one my friends to an auction, he bought a unit for $15 , it had just one item in it. It was one of those real life like sex dolls , covered in dog hair ,, well they cost around $9000 , they said the unit was rented by a 20 yr old girl , they think she was trying to train a dog for… who knows. He put it on Greg’s list and met some sketchy guy in a parking lot and got $1800.00 . Never know what you’re going to find in those.. the surf board looks like it was on top of an old station wagon/ has automotive stickers on it
I totally agree with this. This isn't someone that just hit hard times. Someone just died probably tragically and who knows maybe no one else knew about his unit.
I lost a unit during the pandemic that had my great great grandmothers old italian table was the only thing that ment anything to me and my family iv been trying to find it ever since 😢
Nice video, nice to see you’re going to be racing again next month, think you can pull off a second win in 2 years? Is your father going to come there too?
Lots of the auctions are done online now and not live. others cut the locks off early so they can show preview pictures online. Many years ago, yes they would cut the locks on auction day in front of you but that was when they did live auctions at the site. Some places got a reputation as being a scammy place and they just screwed up any chance of getting any good bidders to show up. Now you bid from a few pictures online. I still prefer the live onsite auction format then bidding online.
THANK YOU!!! I am PRAYING someone does that for me. How it happened is a long story, but my whole life is in limbo now while I seek the buyer of a unit that had my things in it. It's like I'm dying inside it's so awful. I pray someone can help me find where it went. This is a devastating time.
What do you think this is all worth?
Your soul, profiting off of poor unfortunate people. Sad.
7k easy
I’m thinking $6200
