Yeah, getting things shipped in from overseas as a pain in the butt. You literally have to pay somebody to take you from the gate to another person who simply stamps your paperwork for another fee and then you are then escorted to wherever it is your stuff is at. Then a crane/lift fee. Then it's entirely up to you how you get it from there to wherever you need it. Your father is such a nice man to let you keep your teeth.

Pool and snooker cues average around 57-59 inches (140-150 cm) in length and are of three major types. Just so you know I used to put pool tables (billiard) together for Sears Roebuck! They were IMITATION slate and always came in 3 pieces. Back in "78" they were $1500, as far as the dimensions of the crates it did not seem unusual. You will need a full length level! You have to make sure the felt is taught for the surface as well as the bumpers. The tables were solid oak with leather pockets and aesthetically looked a far sight better than lacquer finish! Alibaba is way more reputable than Temu!
The son has it backwards. The same exact product is being purchased from alibaba and sold by us sellers with a huge markup. Alibaba is primarily a b2b site, so it makes sense. Aliexpress and temu are typically the manufacturers selling the same products without a name brand and logo attached. So the 600% markup is due to the inventory holding costs because, again, how many want to spend 22k on a pool table?
30K for a pool table against this one? I think your Dad's a GENIUS . . . They're probably all imported from China anyways, lol. New subscriber, loved the interaction, and your Dad being right in the end, lol :)
Standard cue length is 58" 58" to 60" is common. A professional tournament table from Diamod or Rasson is around 10000 at the most in the US i believe. Although Rasson is made in China .
About 15 years ago my buddy bought an expensive pool table used. He paid $500 for it, the catch was that he had to move it. He disassembled it and moved it with a few friends. We did the basic setup. It cost about a thousand dollars to have the slate set and leveled, plus new felt and new leather net pockets. Not bad
7:47 you are having a second thought right there and how appropriate is it when your dad said “well I WAS excited until you showed up”😂 that’s a father-son moment to be cherished
standard cue length is 58" long - China makes the Rasson tables, used in european / asian championships, US mostly use Diamond tables. You need to get black or dark colour chalk for your cues, if not the lighter colours will show on the cloth -- the cloth needs to be clamped and pulled. Beeswax is what you use to join the slates together - a 1 piece slate will be very heavy and if you are gonna sell the table in future, it will be more difficult to sell it because of access.
The blue cubes are the tip chalk. They keep the queue tip from glancing off the queue ball allowing english to put the queue ball where you want it after it hits the numbered ball, and the gloves are so your stick slides easily through your fingers. Otherwise, you may be using baby powder on your fingers to stop the sweating and sticking. 😂 I would love to play on that table it is perdy! 😂❤
I lived and China and worked international shipping and worked with a lot of manufactures. They are very willing to make the sale right. Especially if you make them believe your going to buy more future products. If anyone is looking to get stuff from China lmk
i saw in the video those sticks are 2 peace you need to screw the back end of the stick together i thank there are some nice handles for the sticks i saw when you where first unpacking it
It's amazing the parts traveled all that way with no damage, chips, cracks.Much care sent into packing, pride in work. Professional assembly, fine purchase . Natural ribbing répartie between father and son
While I haven't seen those gloves before, their purpose is simple enough to understand: They reduce friction when you slide the shaft of the cue over your guiding hand, so I would assume each player wears one. The cue's are fine for amateur players, but you need to rough the tips a little, then use pool or snooker chalk on the tips for them to work best.
Compared to what it would have cost here I think you did really good. The sticks are average size, I believe it was the first time you held a poolstick. Dad you kept the right attitude towards your purchase and your son is so negative.
I started watching this and IMMEDIATELY started praying his top wasn’t gonna be particleboard.. ohhhh that would have been horrible!! I grew up in my mom and dad’s pool room and HATED putting these slate tops on and recovering them. But I’m glad he at least got a decent deal seems like. I’ll be surprised if the company that had that super expensive table doesn’t see this and flag it @BradDeberti .. It happened to @VideoBob on some chairs he bought. The expensive company sent him a cease and desist letter.. lol !! Yall stay blessed!!
@davidsherrill9121 Dude, you've got to learn to listen to what people say. His Dad had about $4,500 in this pool table from China. The one he showed on his phone was $22,000 he didn't buy the one.
This is why the commercial coin op tables are the best. 3/4” or 1” thick single piece slates. Multi piece slate tables are always a ton more work to assemble and are really tough if you need to move them.
My father in law bought a full size pool table about 15 years ago and he paid just under $10,000 dollars and you had to buy your own pool sticks and balls and accessories separately and it was a very nice table and very heavy I believe the weight comes from the slate slabs that are underneath the surface of the table that they put to keep the surface perfectly smooth and level once the table is leveled
The reason the table cost 22k is because they probably deliver it and assemble it wherever you want in your house. The guy that owned the pool hall where i used to shoot all the time used to charge like $2k just to go felt tables for people at home.
You need some chalk for the tip of the sticks. lol. You can also add length to the sticks by drilling and tapping the butt of them adding a piece of dowl then wrapping it in leather. Which I have done before with some short sticks I bought from a pawn shop. I then sold them for 3 times what I paid for them.
I know what the problem is really gonna be. I recover and move 3 piece slate tables all the time. What I don't see here is any wood glued to the bottom of the slate. That's where you staple the cloth with at least 500 staples. Without that you will be spray gluing the felt. So you better hope that slate post level and flush.
When I had my house built in 1996 I paid $15,000 for my pool table. It had 3/4 in slate top. 3 pieces You Have to bond them together . Then use body putty to make it flat. Just like if you are doing a car body. Then stretch the pool table felt. When i bought it they put it together . I replaced the felt 8 years later my self its not bad. I got burn out on playing sold to my sister. An now i have a theater room 10 ft screen. I like more then pool. Pool cues are 59 in. an weights 19 - 21 oz.
Americans need to realize that spending any money at all in China is a mistake. 22k. Jeez. I would have built you a better table for 10k right here in America!
@@abedanielspictures maybe re-watch... He said he was all in for $4500 including the import fees they hit him with after it arrived in the US. He chose this route over the similar one available in the US for 22k
Chalk tips and a nice stick goes along way. I ordered an mini excavator from alibaba with kabota diesel epa compliant apparently it's a few months out. Boats like decent size fishing boats seem cheap on alibaba. Wonder if they are like the pool tables? Your game against each other was funny. I believe you can space the que ball a sticks with away from the side too
Nice table and those balls, very nice. But surprised after all that work you wouldn't iron & brush the baize before you put the sides on. You'z might need some chalk next time you play.
Second hand Pool tables (good ones) are usually free around here, because they are so heavy nobody wants to deal with them :D $21K for a table is absolutely criminal, even worse when it is Chinese. That company and it's owner belong in the same level of hell that car dealers go to.
If Pops deals with Kicker he does buy from China as sad is that is to say. The 2 of you are funny as can be and I am hooked on the channel. Thank you for the laughs. Did that come with leveling legs?
The one piece slat made me laugh I don't think he knows how heavy one would be but that's a nice table and you two definitely need to practice cuz that was sad to watch lol
I watch a couple who bought a mini excavator from china and it was spot on then bought lawn mowers and petrol barrows they saved tons of money 💵 and all the kit was great. 👍
Pool tables are cool for about 6 months. None of the new tables are one piece slate because the one piece tend to crack and they are extremely heavy and hard to get up or down stairs and through doorway
9 ft rails were shipped with what is a 6.5 ft long table if the bill of lading is correct. You may have an issue pocketing a couple of the corners out past the slate or wood or whatelvet the tables bed is made from . I hope it turned out good enough seeing he has no ability to return it and seeing it took 2 months to get here, I hav3 a feeling a charge back to his bank card will be long ago not a viable option on getting any money back. That 6.5 ft long table is what the industry consider a standard bar size box table a full size regulation table I'd longer but width compared to length are the same proportions where length is 2 times the tables width on the playing surface, which ensures all angles where a ballshot with no english from one pocket to a center of a rail will point . size when comparing to smaller tables where no matter the size, the angle will send the ball to the pocket on the opposite the corner it was shot from. Good luck!!!
The top should be slate if it's a high end table if it's a low end table it would be wood top. That stuff that is heavy is the slate top it's the same stuff chalkboards are made from.
You need chalk for the tips. They need to be roughed up and shaped. Not a bad table. I have my grandfather's Brunswick table in crates that was built in 1914. It is a full regulation 3 piece slate table.
Black felt? NO! Those balls look great! But I would never be able to tell them apart in a game. Regulation balls are regulation for a valid reason. Any way, I didn't see you leveling the table. Does it have a leveling system? The Only thing you may get from China that has a chance of being good is things made from wood. There is a lot of great wood in China, and with Computer Controlled saws doing the cutting. There is a fair chance your wooden product will be of good quality
Those pool sticks are for rooms that are smaller so you can still play if you don't have a bigger room. We have had a snooker table in our family since before I was born and we have had to use pool sticks like that at times
back in the 80s my stepdad paid EXTRA for 1 piece slate.... on our pool table... no ''lopsided balls'' EEEEK EEEK EEEKn all over the table lol lol fun to watch! LLOLL

Spends thousands of dollars on a pool table. Skips out on chalk for the tips! Haha. Love the video guys keep up the good work
You need cue tip scuffers and some chalk and a couple table brushes to keep the chalk brushed up.
The pool cues can be between 4'5"-6' and the tips of the pool cues has to be chalked and broken in to perform right
Congrats you just bought an expensive laundry table 😅
Use Durham rock hard water putty. It dries fast and is sandable . This is what I have used on pool tables in the past when installing pool tables.
I see too much slack on the fabric. You really need to staple one side and pull other side tight.
you only get to move the ball if the other player put it in the whole, then you get to put it where you want on one side of the table
The one piece slat made me laugh I don't think he knows how heavy one would be but that's a nice table and you two definitely need to practice cuz that was sad to watch lol
It's fun watching you guys.
Table looks good.. Boys chalk them tips..shorty cues is a norm for pub size pool tables. Love it guys
Way to support the Commies...
I watch a couple who bought a mini excavator from china and it was spot on then bought lawn mowers and petrol barrows they saved tons of money 💵 and all the kit was great. 👍
Hey, what do you think of that gloss finish?.
When the father brings up the son and he is so negative most of the time you wonder what his agenda is. Thank god the father was cool about it.
Pool tables are cool for about 6 months. None of the new tables are one piece slate because the one piece tend to crack and they are extremely heavy and hard to get up or down stairs and through doorway
Upcoming video suggestion… taking extensive lessons on how to play 🎱. 😊
You guys are alright man !! GB happy Father's Day 👌🏼✌🏼🤘🏼💪🏼💯
Brad you couldn't beat your dad in his house
The top should be slate if it's a high end table if it's a low end table it would be wood top. That stuff that is heavy is the slate top it's the same stuff chalkboards are made from.
w camera man for not snitching lol
You need chalk for the tips. They need to be roughed up and shaped. Not a bad table. I have my grandfather's Brunswick table in crates that was built in 1914. It is a full regulation 3 piece slate table.
God bless a woman that allows her husband to put a pool table in the entry of their home!! Most are lucky to get one in the basement
That's actually a nice looking pool table!... Link on where to buy?
You guys are good at assembling things but playing pool. FORGET IT 😂
Black felt?
Billiard companies would charge about $500 to finish the setup, level, cover, and install the bumpers.
Those pool sticks are for rooms that are smaller so you can still play if you don't have a bigger room. We have had a snooker table in our family since before I was born and we have had to use pool sticks like that at times
Five minutes of content in a 20 minute show. Thank God for fast-forward.
Get bees wax to fill the holes get shims to level the frame then level the slate the assemble then level again.
back in the 80s my stepdad paid EXTRA for 1 piece slate.... on our pool table... no ''lopsided balls'' EEEEK EEEK EEEKn all over the table lol
lol fun to watch! LLOLL
We need to know what website he used to buy the table. It looks awesome
Hey Brad, I am looking to build a shed, what size is yours? Length, width and height it looks just the right size to me as well.
