Learn to parry it, it's not that hard. A bunch of people can do it and youtubers stream highlight it all the time. For your own sanity, get good and destroy the ROB users with parries (it's very satisfying) because otherwise it's not going anywhere. Get mad at me if you want, but the truth is still the truth. You can either do something about it or keep crying online 24/7 which solves nothing and still leaves you with the issues.

On one hand, I'm so glad I don't have to grind rare drops for one covenant item I want for a build, or play offline in certain areas because I don't really jive with the pvp scene. On the other, why are there two invasion finger items when covenants aren't even kind of in the game, but plain nonexistent? No sunbros, no area specific invaders, no mad phantom shenanigans, no dragonbros (which is criminal), all of that flavour for the online aspect is just not there. I guess that's what you could call 'streamlining', but I say it's a damn shame.
I hate how they’ve ignored and given up on the covenant systems in more recent titles. Like you said, it’s streamlining things but it’s also removing a really interesting feature that added depth to the gameplay and the lore of the game world
The lag in this game is so unbearable, it can go from completely normal to lag in a second with no prior warning. I once went to jump attack a guy as he lagged still for half a second, I got a hit and ran to roll catch him. In that second of lag I somehow teleported into 3 spells, a r1 hit, and was trapped in a door way. I literally teleported into losing 90% of my health in 0.5 a second. I do not even know how they cast 3 spells and r1 hit me in completely different positions while I was hitting the host 10feet away. My hit was just fine with no delay and yet I teleported into damage.
Had a guy like this who used Godfry Greataxe WA. I tied to Greatsword poke him to interrupt him except nothing happened, he didnt even take damage. He then continued to one shot me when I had 60 vigor and still full health. I could understand if he just poised/hyperarmored through it, but nothing at all?

I think most of the time I get matched with players from Sub-Saharan Africa with dial-up modems from 90s and a chicken on a treadmill providing electricity, because the amount of times I've had people fly across the screen after being frozen for 10s and then instantly turning me to ash are more than I can count on two hands. 10/10 games regardless, cause I'm always having fun even against crutch players like these

Two things: People do think it's unacceptable. If they've stopped bitching about it (as much) it's because they've realised it's wasted energy. And multiplayer was never the focus of the games, it was there as a bonus and to add to part of the aesthetic or feel of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1. It was most developed in Dark Souls 2, but 3 paid very little mind to balancing the game for PvP or coop, and Bloodborne and Elden Ring both sweep multiplayer under the rug so you have to go out of your way to interact with them, making it clear that you're not SUPPOSED to play multiplayer, it's just there if you want it.

Additionally, Poleblade and sea of rum draw from Bloodflame, a power gifted to Mohg by an outer god that he in turn gifted to Eleonora and Okina. Not something one can simply pull from their body. While Ocean of KoolAid could possibly use the Chaos blade/Chikage treatment, it does make sense why it doesn't steal health on it's skill.

@@8Kazuja8 i for one would add in a faint button for attacks which will shorten the recovery time in a non-linear way (i would first try with a e^-x [0;2] or something similar) and if the attack hits the enemy the initiation time is reduced to 0 meaning (along with a slight recoil on hit so you dont just swing through your enemies similar to how you can get caught up in walls but a lot less punishing so it makes combos worth it) you can cancel combos. basically re-design the entire combat system from the one that we love (at least in pve)

I'ts not like they're gonna be different for every match. The reason why there have been no big tournaments is simple, it's the netcode. And FS don't want to make any changes or make a LAN option/client. And that there is no way to actually set up a tournament, ER has some potential for the set up's with it's room passwords, but netcode issue still remains.. it being Niche means nothing, since there are a lot of niche games that have tournaments, Smash for instance, it's a niche genre. Smash is the most well known. Not all of them have big tournaments, but point is they have tournaments.

The shitty thing is I wanted to go with Arcane / Dex since it looked like it would have some fun options and weapons to use, then I found Rivers of Blood and was excited that it looked great, had an edgelord weapon art, and this being pre-nerf I was still happy with it since it would build up bleed damage. Then they "fixed" it and I goddamn hate the thing. So many spammers I simply refuse to use it and be lumped in with them. Back to strength / faith!

@@pelikanvernichter ya never know the xpac could be a pvp one with dedicated arenas like the ones in limgrave, Aeonia, and Leyndell. We could have a ranking system and they could also have large scale team battles fighting along side npc/factions.
The thing that kills it for me is the 4 people multiplayer only. Most of the time is 3v1 gank squads. I miss ds3 on PC.

@@brickbrickerston7099: The katana does more damage than any other katana in the game, since it also does fire damage, I'm not even an Arcane build and mine does 600 AR. The weapon is bullshit and should be deleted..oh how I would love to see RoB users crumble after losing their bullshit weapon...that or just REALLY cap bleed like in 3.

The shitty thing is I wanted to go with Arcane / Dex since it looked like it would have some fun options and weapons to use, then I found Rivers of Blood and was excited that it looked great, had an edgelord weapon art, and this being pre-nerf I was still happy with it since it would build up bleed damage.
Then they "fixed" it and I goddamn hate the thing. So many spammers I simply refuse to use it and be lumped in with them. Back to strength / faith!
First mistakes was choosing dex
@@DemMedHornene There is no mistakes, you do WHATEVER you want dude, no particular way to play, CHASE THE BRO play dex / Arc and it work perfectly, no matter what you choose, the GID GUD things work for a lot of things :)
