People dislike it due too mainstream opinion aswell which is really extrem in the zombies community. They do really like to follow nonsense and then act like its a fact. I will do say that this map solo is REALLY easy but with multiple players .. margwa spawns to you , you dont have thundergun and cant kill it instantly - then it gets a bit tricky like on SOE especially with Keepers and Furries in the mix aswell. I actually love it and have nothing to complain. Imo it helps newish players to get used to do a bit more than just turning on power - feel that is kinda overlooked.
@@Raven_Redacted besides the god mask being able to make keepers and furries invisible it is perfect. It had more innovations than Gorod Krovi and as much or more than Eisendrache. The EE can be RNG yes but we have our gobblegums , but imo a EE should be bonuspoint and or not a criteria for if a map is good or bad. As I stated people just follow opinions and that sucks. Also its wrong that the peacekeeper returned when in reality it was never on a map before in zombies. Some analysis videos were good but some honestly are just biased and completely miss positive things or flaws on certain maps.
@@kingfatih your right. You dont use bias or nostalgia blind you when criticizing a map. You look at if the map is fun and try not to compare it. We need more people in this world like you.
@@Raven_Redacted Well I just judge maps differently and consistent, and the basic critierias i use make the most sense when looking at all maps. Most rankings or opinions on yt are just really subobjective, where one map gets credit for innovativing but others dont and many more. Like you and I know Revelations did that a ton, but its not mentioned at all here. Now the argument for the map being not that good is "blinded by nostalgia" but yet Der Eisendrache took a lot of things we like : Der Riese teleporter, Ascension rocketarea, similiar moon jumppads and gravity , MOB Wulfheads, Origins panzer / Staffs -> Bows , with the exception of the normal and void bow and I might even miss 1 or 2 things - yet appearently those havent anything to do with nostalgia? Why? Because we have the first big boss fight and the ragnaroks? The BRM wall buy ?? Revelations innovated more and yet it didnt have to do that even. Also its never mentioned how when playing with multiple people in the higher rounds, if you dont get lucky with the gondola or get max ammos drops - you have a bow without ammo with you over multiple rounds till you get lucky, because it takes more rounds to get to a bonus/max ammo round after a certain while. Friend died round 43 and for that round alone I switched bows 3 or 4 times and went out of ammo with all of them, then we still didnt get max ammo over the next 3 rounds.
As someone who came to BO3 way later after dropping off during Die Rise, I really enjoy Revelations. I wasn't waiting years for it, I just got it all at once and managed to enjoy it for what it is
Revelations is one of my favourite maps - I love the atmosphere, weapons, music, gameplay, the nostalgic locations and all the challenging bosses in the earlier rounds...but it could have been more. The staffs could have been included, the Easter egg was appallingly bad, but otherwise, it’s incredibly fun. Not as much as SOE or Gorod, but it’s still fun.
You know I have a little theory. We all hear tim and basically everyone else say that Rev is just a nostalgia trip and this and that. And here is where my theory kicks in. I think that if Trearch would not have made the Zombies Chronicles which had shown all of us the maps featured in Rev previously and already gave us the most nostalgia possible. Maybe then Revelations would have been way more powerful and had more of a presence or impact on the community without Zombies Chronicles. Just think about that.
I love revelations, it’s fun to achieve high rounds, and I’m still on the front to level 1000. I’m not too critical, so the aspects that were recycled doesn’t bother me
Revelation is honestly one of my top favorite maps. It's like EVERYONE IS HERE IN ONE MAP! Though the staffs didn't return which sucks and they could of add something new. Overall the atmosphere is great, the background, and beautiful graphics too.
I feel like Treyarch should’ve double-downed on the whole Nostalgia thing. Something like running us through the storyline in game by making us perform tasks that correlate along side it, along with something new and badarse to climax with.
5:57 There’s a “c” in that word. “Climactic” means “exciting or thrilling, or acting as the climax of a series of events.” “Climatic” (which is what you said) means “pertaining to climate. As in “the climatic requirements of the crop.”
Its not even true lol Revelations innovated a ton more than Gorod Krovi and a bit more than Der Eisendrache. DE S Tier map but it "only" gave us Ragnaroks , the bow/skull bow (since every other bow is a changed staff , which were just wonderweapons changed into a buildable staff) , first big bossfight, BRM(?) wallbuy and i guess the death ray trap. You have dragonheads instead of MOB wulfheads , you have der riese teleporter , Ascension rocketarea , similiar moon jumppads , Origins Panzer and staffs -> Bows - so it clearly gave us nostalgia aswell.
1:05 hey hey hey, that's the point. It's a final wrap up of 10+ years of zombies. They tried to invent new things with tag and um, yeah that turned out that way.
My dude tell me how DE is perfect when it got a billion things from other maps, but Revelations is blinded by nostalgia when it is a obvs mash up but yet has more innovations than Gorod Overrated Krovi
Am I the only one that actually likez the concept of this being the final map so they decide to put us on a rollercoaster of all the maps that we've been thorough and that we loved
I gotta say I disagree, revelations was a lot of reused features but the map was so fun and different it just became one of the best maps on bo3. Appreciate an original opinion, good video!
Completely agree with your points. Great video on a great game, BO3 + chronicles = best zombies experience. With REV, when I play it, I don’t use any wonder weapons. No thunder gun, no AS, no DG3s. Then, I go 5 rounds in every area. I start in nacht 1-5. Spawn 6-10. Shang 10-15. DE 16-20. Kino 20-25. Verruckt 26-30. MOB 31-35. Origins 36-40. In the beast aka pap 41-45. I only allow myself to re up on ammo/ guns/ pap every 10 rounds @ the end of the round. It’s difficult with no wonder weapons and a good challenge. It’s the only way I enjoy this map lol.
It definitely went heavy on trying to nostalgia trip people, but even with that said I always enjoyed this map. It was a nice map to turn your brain off on and just enjoy some of the best weapons and training spots ever in zombies. You also get to face a good variety of enemies which helps it from being toooo stale. It is ridiculously easy, but that’s kind of what I like about it at the end of the day. Visually tis also just beautiful
Revelations is one of my favorite maps out of the wide number of maps in bo3 I think it plays really well. Only thing I don’t love is how if you go down you pretty much always lose your stuff
I have a zombies theory: you know how in WaW you can see the ultimus crew character models as characters in Campaign mode? And in BO3 there are zombies in campaign? Zombies IS campaign, but after WaW.
Blood hound I mean Nikolai was Chernov and Dempsey was Polanski, Richtofen was a reskin of General Amsel and Takeo was that nameless Japanese soldier in the beginning so it wouldn’t make sense but cool thought lol
Man I agree with everything you said my main man Tim but holy shit if I wasn't grinning on my first playthrough of revelations. I wish there was more to the egg and wonder weapons but the mashup stuff was absolutely insane
I definitely felt a little let down by revelations, it was a cool set piece that lacked real substance for me. Having followed Der Eisendrache and Gorod Krovi which were great maps, Revelations just fell a little flat, especially with it being hyped as "The big finale".
It's so sad to here that BO3 is nearly 5 years old... This game was very life changing for me, I just had so much fun and got excited every time when a new map was released. One of the best gaming experiences in my life!!
I dont know why everyone gives this map so much shit it's not bad they are only salty because of the easter egg but 1/10 players actually do the easter egg.
As a semi casual zombies player I agree rev was the easiest map. I got to round 83 and just quit out of boredom but I struggled getting past 50 on the other maps.
I mean it really makes sense why it’s old maps all in one.. they had to remaster 8 zombies maps so they probably ended up having a harder time creating a last 4th dlc zombie maps so they improvised and made revelations and all in all I think they’ve done a damn good job of making everything work out within the time period they had to get everything done and released.
On the bright side, at least Revelations wasnt one trashy, run down version of a legendary map with not primis characters. Am I right lads, or am I right lads?

I will do say that this map solo is REALLY easy but with multiple players .. margwa spawns to you , you dont have thundergun and cant kill it instantly - then it gets a bit tricky like on SOE especially with Keepers and Furries in the mix aswell.
I actually love it and have nothing to complain. Imo it helps newish players to get used to do a bit more than just turning on power - feel that is kinda overlooked.
@@kingfatih I feel revelations is a nearly perfect map. Other then the easter egg
As a person who isn't an OG to zombies and doesn't play it religiously, Revelations was amazing to learn and play with your friends.
Balance is not fun. Crazy op stuff is FUN. Its optional to be "op" but everybody has forgot what optional things means anymore.
As someone who came to BO3 way later after dropping off during Die Rise, I really enjoy Revelations. I wasn't waiting years for it, I just got it all at once and managed to enjoy it for what it is
CW: actually innovates rather than using nostalgia against us
Tim: hates it.
Not as much as SOE or Gorod, but it’s still fun.
stair banastor I actually don’t get why people like gorod lol
You know what time it is?
IT'S *GOREV* TIME
pizza time
Vanoss lmao
Its rewind time
8:30 and on perfectly summarizes my same feelings for Revelations
4:21 take those words back!
I personally think the map was executed really well
Bo2 and bo3 I miss you 😭
Ben Shapiro and bo1
5:57
There’s a “c” in that word.
“Climactic” means “exciting or thrilling, or acting as the climax of a series of events.”
“Climatic” (which is what you said) means “pertaining to climate. As in “the climatic requirements of the crop.”
I know this is an old video. I can’t help myself.
Eh I'm still on the fence about the blinded by nostalgia argument considering you can just replay those maps fairly easily, same with movies tbh
People when Rev ended: This is a disaster! This is a bad end to Zombies!
Just the entirety of Black Ops 4: exists
Those same people: Rev is amazing!
Actually it didn’t take under a week to do the EE. If I recall correctly it took about 2-3.
Yeah about 2 weeks. There was 2 parts where everyone was stuck at for a few days but besides those 2 steps everything else was figured out quick.
it was 9 days.
1:05 hey hey hey, that's the point.
It's a final wrap up of 10+ years of zombies.
They tried to invent new things with tag and um, yeah that turned out that way.
The ending was the most underwhelming thing i ever saw, when i saw it first time i was the "say sike right now" meme
The revaltions ending was not as bad as the origirns ending I like the revaltions ending
near death experience the origins ending left us questioning things, which I kind of like. It circulated theories and got the community thinking.
The perk jingles in this map are the reason it’s godly
My dude tell me how DE is perfect when it got a billion things from other maps, but Revelations is blinded by nostalgia when it is a obvs mash up but yet has more innovations than Gorod Overrated Krovi
DE is perfect cry, just coz you cant get the bow you say that hahahaah. It is the GOAT map after motd and maybe SE
I personally like rev more than gorod or DE.
@@blueshellpunk I don't like rev more then de but far more then gk cause gk sucks
@@neardeathexperience2095 Gk is a good but challenging map
I love revaluations because I never was old enough to play the oh zombie so it shows me kind of what the og days were like
This man hates on everything I love...
i hope kakyoin gets a donut lol
Great vid like every time! Love seeing the notification every Sunday night!!!
6 hours is slow for 100 on revelations, takes me 3 & 1/2
And that's precisely because the map is too easy
Ikr
It’s the only way I enjoy this map lol.
wtf is the green staff during tHe gReAt wAr?
Zach Smith wind
Paintedidab wind is yellow dude
Not gonna lie this is my favorite map of all time not just for the nostalgia. It's just really fun to me.
although rev wasn't very innovative, it was such a gameplay heavy map that it was my favorite out og BO3s entire season
Visually tis also just beautiful
the last good zombies map
Tim: This map's too easy
Everyone Fucking Else With A Brain: Bitch what
5:02 I honestly thought shadows was easy solo?
DailyBURGER642 ! It totally is. You just need to know what to do and that’s it
Both the Peacekeeper and the Peacekeeper MK2 were never in zombies before this map.
I don’t mean to be this guy The whole point of the revelations is all the maps combined
Patrick Wells Nope, in WaW, they just recycled assets instead of making brand new character models.
I know they reused them, but it’s cool to think it’s one of many fractures. They didn’t have a story yet.
My favorite part of rev is the soundtrack, it’s just a really nice touch
It isnt nostalgia if there isn't any tombstone or PHD
Tombstone sucks but phd is so good why don't they bring it back I mean bo4 had a cheap knockoff
It's so sad to here that BO3 is nearly 5 years old... This game was very life changing for me, I just had so much fun and got excited every time when a new map was released. One of the best gaming experiences in my life!!
I don’t understand the storyline can someone tell me what happened to OG tank nikoli takeo nad Richthofen
Then don't do EE's
Just watch a video if you want to understand
Tim- new movies are reamakes. Me- like IT. Time- for example,IT
I dont know why everyone gives this map so much shit it's not bad they are only salty because of the easter egg but 1/10 players actually do the easter egg.
Revelations is one of my favorite maps of all time
As a semi casual zombies player I agree rev was the easiest map.
"Revelations is a Recycling bin but not a Trash Can." Well said. 😁👍
