LOGHAN BROWN No as soon as bo5 comes out everyone will say Bo4 was good and bo5 is a let down. People have been doing this year in and year out. Bo4 was good, better than bo1, not as good as 2 and slightly better than bo3
Jay 2k Bo4 zombies was solid, I liked the three main maps. ix had the best design by far out of the three maps. Blood of the dead was amazing besides the fact that the Easter egg was ridiculous for it, voyage of despair was pretty good too. The multiplayer in bo4 gives you that same vibe of bo2 the only thing that’s terrible about it is you have to do all this extra work to unlock guns instead of just leveling up.

I love the aesthetic save for the guns being all futuristic. I realize that it would have been ridiculous to expect them to make all new guns or remodel the guns in the game to fit the time, but it would have sent the map over the top for my liking of it, and as it remains right now, it sort of takes away from the atmosphere, if only in a minor way.

Thank you so much for making this video. Shadows of Evil has always been one of my favourites, and it's awesome to see that this underrated masterpiece is finally getting attention.
I don't know why but when people say Shadows is great or underrated, I tear up a bit. I loved it. This map was amazing and it made a turning point for me as a zombies player. This will be a long comment, so you don't need to read everything. I would go to my friends house to play bo2 since I wasn't able to get it and it was fun. He would carry me to decent rounds. When bo3 came out, he would help me with some maps, except for ZNS because we never gave it a chance. I then watched guides on some maps that I didn't understand. I got bo3 two years after it was released, and I didn't visit my friends house as often because of school and moving. I was only able to play with my brother and he never played zombies. I became the teacher and my brother became the student. I kept playing Shadows since it was fun and very rewarding. I was thinking of getting the Giant since it would be simple for both of us. Over time, I liked Shadows over the Giant, which was my favorite bo3 map at the time. To this day, I now teach my brother's friend how to play Shadows, having a blast and not getting bored. We haven't gotten his friend to use a beast yet, but we made it to the 30's at best. This map was the map that made me able to show that I can be a player that knows what I'm doing. The only problem is that Shadows of Evil is notorious for having terrible public matches, so I play private matches. I just hate all of the leavers, afk people, and throwers. Noobs are players that I can't blame. I was just like them. During my first public match of Shadows with my brother, we were not used to aggressive zombies. We wasted our gobblegums and had decent teammates. One left since he died too much, but the other carried us. He had the Apothican Servant while my brother and I got carried to round 22. It was fun, but now I enjoy being the carry out of my friends. Shadows of Evil, thank you for making me stay with zombies. Sadly though, it is my second favorite, since Der Eisendrache is Origins, but is casually better. (By that I mean casual players will be more successful on Der Eisendrache than in Origins imo.) Shadows is a map that I am fond of and one that I could show I am decent at zombies now.
allah bless eh idk about that, what I mean is I started back in black ops 3 in January 2017, still it was nostalgia for me not just this map, but other things also. Do I need to go in further detail?
I was thinking a video like this had potential and I would never have the passion to create it. So I’m glad it’s already created and it’s so well put together. Shadows of Evil is a Masterpiece
not a youtuber ok doesn’t have that good replay ability. After the long setup, I don’t want to play it again. I love the map, but it takes a while to set up.
i loved this map. i remember when my friend got a ps4 and we were so excited to finally play the new zombies maps. i was around 12/13 when i first played this and i hadn’t had a map that scared me the way this did since nacht.
I absolutely love this map, for all the reasons you have and more. So much detail went into it, like you said smaller easter eggs- free gumball, upgrade arnies, margwa mask, trip mines, 2 music easter eggs, you can go bowling with the rocket sheild, all the phones, theres a hidden thing that makes maxis talk, it just has so much detail if you pay attention
This was the map that got me into zombies three years ago so I had a lot to learn but my first time pack a punching it felt real good and satisfying with the changes to the map. The characters were done well the speacial ability weapon the sword was amazing and the best part was having the most OP wonder weapon of all time, the appothocant servant.
Thank you Tim. You are a true inspiration. I haven't played treyarch zombies for a while and you got me again up the hype to play it. Zombies has been for me, such as for me a true good time back in the good old days. I also started with BO1 zombies and i have ever since been a fan. Your videos truly inspire me to play with more enthusiasm these awesome bo3 maps that i have played with the "normal" player vibe. Shadow was also one of my favourites, but not from the very beginning, it started growing on me and i started actually like it. Nowadays, when i start my ps4, look at my discs, i always look at the bo3 disc with a glimpse of fond memories playing shadow. It truly is an awesome map.
Benny Fair fax: with friends it was fun but solo was a nightmare. Transit was made at the wrong time, if treyarch did a reboot of the map it could be amazing, remove the denizens, put more wall guns in, make a button to call the bus, make the pick a punch easier to assess and create a good wonder weapon and boom, banger of a map. Unfortunately the Xbox 360 and ps3 weren’t strong enough to make the map render correctly henceforth why the fog and denizens are in the map. They’re made to slow down the player so the locations can render
Jusr hearing the jazz music of Shadows Of Evil in the transition of rounds fitting so perfectly with the details, the decoration of the map and with this mysterious, kinda scary ambiance makes this hole city so and exciting and impressive. I just love this entire map it is perfect for me.
I got into zombies thanks to shadows. Sure i had played maps like kino and tranzit but they were usually at friends houses for sleepovers. The hype around bo3 zombies was unmatched, youtubers like Tim, lex and the smith plays all got me into this community. If it weren’t for this map I don’t think I would’ve truly fell in love with zombies like I did. Also keep up the great work Tim!
Easily my Favorite TREYARCH zombies map of all time. This map was what taught me how to play zombies. I remember when I couldn't get past Margua for the life of me. Now I have killed her with the starting pistol several times. It truly is a masterpiece. I am so glad you made this video.
Black ops 2 and 3 are my favorite zombies in my opinion idk black ops 4 seems too different but maybe that’s cuz I haven’t played it much yet idk but hopefully I’ll come to love it as much as I have other zombies
Easy way for the sword symbols, associate each one with something easy to remember (Right arrow - right, two right arrows - double right, two right arrows with a line - squiggle, arrows pointing at center - star, etc)
Personally, I liked shadows of evil, the theme, the music, the characters and the backstory, the layout and the setting. However, they should have made another map with the game that was not The giant that you had to pay for that would have been easier for new players.
Three main reasons it's amazing. 1: the map is so big and it's really fun to run around that map and pop through portals. 2: it's incredibly immersive. 3: Jeff Goldblum.
There is so much that shadows did right, actually no, shadows did EVERYTHING right, from the colors, to characters not being to annoying other than JACKY FUCKING VINCENT, to even the shield look, and this is why SOE is my favorite map of all time (My top 5 just incase ur wondering) 5:The giant/Der Riese 4:Origins 3:Der Eisendrache 2:IX 1:Shadows Of Evil
@@Unknown-cy1fd not really because for the beast gun you need a part from meatballs from r0und 10 to twenty and I've only gotten it on round 19 and then for the sword you have to hope that when you u dont get cornered by 2 margaws spawning in the middle of round like 15 through 20
If they can make this amazing story with new characters and interesting lore with only one tie to the Aether story at first, why can’t they just do that but without involving it with Aether for Bo5???
I remember back when I was a wee lad playing bo1 zombies. It took me around a week of playing for about 2 hours a day to learn that I could open doors. You can imagine my excitement when I learned that there was a huge map to play on. Then years later playing bo3 shadows of evil, carrying games and making friends, or some salty person saying I'm a noob. Even though I carried him through his 9 downs till round 29.
12:33 lmfao Tim wastes the rest of his beast mode attacking a few random zombies instead of reviving the downed player right next to him. Fucking RIP to that guy.
SOE is so nostalgic for me because it was my first zombies map. I've always been more multiplayer and campaign guy and never touched zombies. After seeing some UA-camrs gameplay I decided to try SOE and I had so much fun. Learning curve was pretty difficult but once I got used to it, there was so much thing to do on the map that I could never be bored with it
My initial hate when the game came out was purely due to the setting and aesthetics. I had no idea about the easter eggs so I thought "who the heck are these guys. Who the heck is the shadow man. I have no idea what's going on." and I had an attachment to the ultimis characters
shadows of evil was my first real zombies map I ever played, and I was the complete opposite. the absolute beauty of the game intrigued me so much I WANTED to learn more and LOVED this game and I'm so glad it was easter egg packed, and just filled with so many mechanics cause it truly inspired me. now call of duty black ops 3 is my fav game
The thing i love about SOE is how many side easter eggs it has, the margwa hat, the free gobblegum, the only map you can upgrade the trip mines on, upgrade the lil arnies etc
@Bruh Momento no shit I can shoot zombies, I been playing zombies since WaW, zombies was hard then but it was at least fair, keyword, "fair" They didn't need to spawn zombies right in front of you and didn't need to make zombies hit you 50 times within a macro second to be challenging, bo3 doesn't have fair gameplay,
Bruh Momento I don’t use gobblegum or the fucking robot bc I don’t confuse cheats as skill, “har har I GoT sKilL bC gUm TeLePoRtS mE tO sAfTeY” or the robot who acts like another player, those things shouldn’t be a fucking requirement to stand a decent chance every single game,
The only thing missing from this map was the Thompson. It fits in perfectly during the Prohibition and gangster such as Al Capone.
They put the bootlegger in instead
x Stephen x bootlegger is just the BO3 version of the WAW Type 100
Bootleger is ok i guess

This map is nostalgic for me, since I started up again with black ops 3 in 2017.
>"Nostalgic"
> 2017 was literally just last year lmao
@@allahbless2278
Uhuh last year was 2018
allah bless eh idk about that, what I mean is I started back in black ops 3 in January 2017, still it was nostalgia for me not just this map, but other things also. Do I need to go in further detail?
@@eatmorechicken1221 same I miss bo3 😫
How is it nostalgic? it's only 3 years for fuck sake
I was thinking a video like this had potential and I would never have the passion to create it. So I’m glad it’s already created and it’s so well put together. Shadows of Evil is a Masterpiece
My least favorite thing about shadows is when I die and have to stop playing this masterpiece of a map
You don’t really. Just load it back up...
not a youtuber ok doesn’t have that good replay ability. After the long setup, I don’t want to play it again. I love the map, but it takes a while to set up.
Had an absolute blast on this map with me and my buds. Lots of fun and great looks on the setting of the map. Loved it 10/10
13:58 I laughed so hard😂
I was looking for this lmao
16:27 😂😂😂
Yeah dude my eyes widened. I'm at work lol

i loved this map. i remember when my friend got a ps4 and we were so excited to finally play the new zombies maps. i was around 12/13 when i first played this and i hadn’t had a map that scared me the way this did since nacht.
I'm here after firing up this map yesterday after a long while. One of the best maps.
I Love The Vibe From This Map.
Same just the feeling of it
It's just vibin
This was the map that got me into zombies three years ago so I had a lot to learn but my first time pack a punching it felt real good and satisfying with the changes to the map. The characters were done well the speacial ability weapon the sword was amazing and the best part was having the most OP wonder weapon of all time, the appothocant servant.
Joel Mathew me too
I respect your opinion. But the thundergun is by far the most powerful wonder weapon
ROYAL DR1FTER lmao no, the staffs and the bows all are the most powerful
Courier Of Skyrim lighting and ice
Alex shrek yes the wind staff, the lightning bow, and the ice staff are tied pretty much
Thank you Tim.
This map is so nostalgic for me. Definitely one of my favorites. And for sure my favorite launch map from any cod
Hey Tim, dare ya to do a video why tranzit was a masterpiece
He wont because it was a turd.
Lol
@@steveetienne you probably just sucked at it
Rise Of Fascism Naaaa it was too easy and boring. It was just a shit map.
The only problem with this map is the amount of times a boss is spawned in while you're constantly in tight corners surrounded
It’s art honestly, it’s one of the best up there.
Agreed.
I love shadows. I was making this argument the other day. Easily top 5 maps
The begging yes absolutely I was also one of those people but now I have given it a chance and I love it
Easily my Favorite TREYARCH zombies map of all time.
“ you accidentally trade the servant for something, just get it out the box, which is a good idea, plus you get to *fist it real good* “
Easy way for the sword symbols, associate each one with something easy to remember (Right arrow - right, two right arrows - double right, two right arrows with a line - squiggle, arrows pointing at center - star, etc)

A neanderthal is in the game
BO3 really was the best era of zombies.. I just recently reinstalled the game and I’m having a blast playing through all these maps
Black Ops 3: A true masterpiece
You're right about the city being relateable. I often imagine myself in one of the bars late at night having drinks
This was my first complex map, I went from playing bo2 town to this
lmao i went from nothing to this
All I know is my top 2 maps are
1) der riese
2) shadows of evil
Der Riese is called a map for noobs because it's a small map and has PAP along with wonder weapons that are op.
Default skin with -1 subs what’s your favorite map
@@ihave0likesonmycomments111
That is kino ... Der reise was harder and/or more compliex than verruct , nacht , shi no numa
@@Honest-King When someones says der riese I think of bo3 dlc 1 because der riese is a translation of 'the giant'.
@@getbloxxed Origins and Revalations and Gorod KrovI.
I’ve been playing zombies for about 7 years and shadows of evil is my favorite map
There is so much that shadows did right, actually no, shadows did EVERYTHING right, from the colors, to characters not being to annoying other than JACKY FUCKING VINCENT, to even the shield look, and this is why SOE is my favorite map of all time (My top 5 just incase ur wondering) 5:The giant/Der Riese
4:Origins 3:Der Eisendrache 2:IX 1:Shadows Of Evil
Everything was good but only if your game went perfect which never happens
Not at all it was garbage
@@allahbless2278 ur just shit at zombies
@@yusufghani1882 thats pretty true
@@Unknown-cy1fd not really because for the beast gun you need a part from meatballs from r0und 10 to twenty and I've only gotten it on round 19 and then for the sword you have to hope that when you u dont get cornered by 2 margaws spawning in the middle of round like 15 through 20
If they can make this amazing story with new characters and interesting lore with only one tie to the Aether story at first, why can’t they just do that but without involving it with Aether for Bo5???
Different dev team
Shadows of evil is my favourite map of all time. I don't know why but it just keeps making me come back to it.
lets not talk about the fact that is friend committed masss murder after tim didnt revive him at 12:34
This map feels like what transit could've been
I remember back when I was a wee lad playing bo1 zombies.
This map was so much fun and easy to play
12:33 lmfao Tim wastes the rest of his beast mode attacking a few random zombies instead of reviving the downed player right next to him. Fucking RIP to that guy.
SOE is so nostalgic for me because it was my first zombies map. I've always been more multiplayer and campaign guy and never touched zombies. After seeing some UA-camrs gameplay I decided to try SOE and I had so much fun. Learning curve was pretty difficult but once I got used to it, there was so much thing to do on the map that I could never be bored with it
I remember everyone hated this map lol
Anthony Evans exactly lol
Yeah, because that was the bandwagon, but then as big youtubers started to like it, so did the people who bandwagon it.
My initial hate when the game came out was purely due to the setting and aesthetics. I had no idea about the easter eggs so I thought "who the heck are these guys. Who the heck is the shadow man. I have no idea what's going on." and I had an attachment to the ultimis characters
Literally who hates this map
@@chrismarple there are literally people in this thread alone that hated the map
"Holy shit I just solved an easter egg." Love it
shadows of evil was my first real zombies map I ever played, and I was the complete opposite. the absolute beauty of the game intrigued me so much I WANTED to learn more and LOVED this game and I'm so glad it was easter egg packed, and just filled with so many mechanics cause it truly inspired me. now call of duty black ops 3 is my fav game
I remember that in round one you can headshot the shadowman and get 1k points but have higher round zombies

The thing i love about SOE is how many side easter eggs it has, the margwa hat, the free gobblegum, the only map you can upgrade the trip mines on, upgrade the lil arnies etc
Der Riese - the best of all time
BO1 maps (besides Kino) > Der Riese.
I cant play the old maps anymore. Theres nothing to do
12:29. Anyone annoyed that he didn't save that person.
Jazz is my favorite genre and hearing it in a zombie map made me love the map even more. Definitely my favorite zombie map.
I kinda hope they do another zombies chronicles in BO4
Logan Kohl its confirmed
Tranzit better be in it
Delvoin wait really
Cynthia Clark would be nice
Logan Kohl yeah Jason confirmed it
12:40 damn this mans game really gonna let his teammate die like that
This is my favorite map. It's just made so perfectly.
*Ea would charge you for a free map*
Never use a Perkaholic on shadows of evil first like by the way
Whys that
thanks for my world best liked commet
Bruh I hate using Perkaholic 4real. I got 32 of them rn
Cause theirs only 7 perks not worth a perkaholic
It’s so underrated brooo I’ve been playing it so much but it’s definitely is one of my faves
No one literally no one, shadows of evil "do you like jazz"
Ah yes, she was an “actor”
My cousin brought this and a console for us to play and I couldn't believe that next gen zombies was so cool
The people who say they hate “beast mode” will turn around and say they loved “afterlife” from Mob of the Dead
Sometimes, Beast Mode feels a lot clunkier than Afterlife. I like both, but I can see how people hate one and love the other
Austin Wiltse i dont, beast mode has better movement
This map is so enclosed, you get trapped every 2 seconds
Thats just bullshit imho
@Bruh Momento my dude, the game has it where the zombies spawn in front of you well before you reach an area, that's the game not me
I think soe is quite spacious actually. Enough space at least to move around zombies in most places
