@@mercygonoRN I neverrrrr see anybody on ýoutube aloe Vera juice pink before and I see millions of videos, I know it gets pink days after in the fright but not on the 1st day.
Hi Mercy, I love your videos and I see how you make the Aloe and also how you make the Rice water. What I want to know is how to store them and also how to use them in conjunction with each other. Thanks
I been using this for 2 weeks and it has thickened my hair and it's a great conditioner you're able to comb straight through your hair without using regular conditioner! I really grows your hair! 👍
Guys ...I wish I had pics of my neice to show you her hair at the beginning to now. Its bra length ...and a thicker texture to the girl in the vid. It never went past her shoulders before. She did it for a year. Only used whipped Shea butter after as a moisturizer. And she left her hair alone for every two weeks. The key is to do this every two weeks. Use the gel and add a carrier oil or essential oil. Leave it in for an hour then rinse. Add your Shea butter , oils or moisturizer after. Do a natural style or braid style to last the two weeks. Remember you want low manipulation on your hair. Let you hair rest for and do it's thing ( and repeat). Remember ....be consistent and you'll see result. I will add though ..aloes have a nasty habit of leaving flakes in your hair when it dries. Don't know how to prevent that. Good luck.
The itchiness is from a substance called aloin. My sister soaks the scooped aloe vera for 30 minutes in water, rinses it off before extracting the gel that way you can avoid having an adverse reaction. Some people are allergic and/or sensitive to this substance so proceed with caution. Thanks for the video!
Wowww !!! Makes sense I suffer from eczema especially on my hands and whenever I handle aloe it itches me like CRAZY and when I apply it to my hair, after a few days my scalps has the same adverse reaction. What I'll do is wear latex gloves and try soaking the aloe chunks in distilled water then see if there's any less itchiness. Thanks very much!
So true!! I was wondering why my hands started itching. Also my scalp. I just stopped using it. I had no idea about soaking it for 30 minutes in water. I’ll give it another try. THANKS for the advice!!
@Cir UA-cam, Nah your question is not silly. After soaking the aloe vera in water for 30 minutes, I drain the water until I'm left with the aloe vera chunks. Then I blend the chunks in my ninja smoothie cup attachment. Don't add extra water. I use the chop setting and I sift the juice in a fine netted sieve. The resulting matter is more like a juice than gel but it works all the same. You can freeze any left over juice in the freezer, don't be alarmed if the juice turns pink over time that's normal and harmless. I mix a 70/30 ratio of the aloe juice and distilled water to a spray bottle to refresh my afro twist, which has kept my hair more moisturized and shiny. I refresh my twists every 3 days or so. I hope this helps, happy to answer any more questions anyone has.

I tried this, I used the same method to make the juice, sprayed it on my hair, detangled and twisted it up. It was VERY slippery and it worked well. Then I washed it out and conditioned. Then I twisted it and met it air dry. I used tgst same juice as a leave in conditioner. Then I used an oil mixture of avocado, coconut, olive and castor oil and massaged it throughout my hair and twisted it up real good. Guys it really worked. This morning I took the twists down, separated them with my fingers, fluffed them and used the pick to lift my roots and it turned out exactly like Mercy said. Which one do you prefer if I may ask your opinion? Or anyone reading this comment 🙂
TIP: It's important to separate the latex from the gel, by cuttting the base of the leaf, because the latex contains the bitter, yellow-brown coloured compound aloin , which is a powerful laxative that can cause stomach cramps, diarrhoea if taken orally and that is what that causes the irritation / itchiness.
OMG! I love your natural hair. I’m in my transition from straight to curly. Already cut all my procesed hair and I’m in love with results. Thank you for your videos
We shouldn't forget that we've deferent genes, some genetically have long hair and others don't So shouldn't be expecting same growth; in length and texture

The reason for the itching is the yellow liquid tat secretes from the leaf you have to leave it to soak in water for awhile and the reason why the juice starts to turn pink that naturally happens when air hits it soon it will start to spoil youll have to keep it in the fridge to keep it more fresh freeze into ice cubes

@@mercygonoRN I have a question. I just did the aloe vera thing, put it in a spray bottle. #1. I think I bought the wrong spray bottle #2. It's not spraying out. What am I doing wrong? Do I thin out the aloe vera, buy a spray bottle from the hair store and not the garden section at walmart because that's what I did?
Hello Mercy. You are a beautiful person with such beautiful hair! Thank you for helping us natural girls with your tips, I truly appreciate you! I just started to follow your channel a couple days ago. I have all my products that I have chose to use because of you. But I do have a question.."why is your aloe vera watery looking in your bottle?" You obviously add water or something right? If so about how much? I did not see that part and cannot find it in any of your videos, sorry. I just notice that after you put the "aloe juice" in the spray bottle it is not that much, but once you start to spray and apply to your hair, the bottle is usually more than half full and much more watery looking. Please explain. Thank you so much!☺
Your hair is beautiful I am trying to grow my short hair out from relaxed to natural but it is thin and growing very slow. I am going to try this. How often should I do the aloe treatment?
Could be. I buy Fruit of the Earth aloe Vera juice (99.8 pure aloe) from walmart, mix it 50/50 with water, spray it on my damp hair after every wash as a leave in conditioner. I oil my scalp with Doo Gro oil blend(love this product), finish off with Shea butter & Blue Magic hair grease. Makes my hair so soft, shiny. Aloe Vera thickens, grows my hair like nothing else. 👍👏💖😊
Im growing my own plant of Aloe and i realized that the itching comes from the "poison" in aloe vera when you cut it. Its actually a strong laxative that can be dangerous in high doses so after i started washing my aloe after i cut it the itching and bad smell is gone!
I like how simple your routine is! And your hair is gorgeous! I will try your twisting method. I usually just plait/braid my hair or rope twist it (protective style) to last a couple of weeks. I have aloe vera at home but I don't use it very often. I use castor oil (Jamaican) mostly instead. My hair is growing esp the back that is consistently 4c. When I used aloe in the past, I just cut it and rubbed it on my and my daughters' scalp and hair until only the skin is left. Aloe and castor oil are both very good for eczema that causes hair loss. It works on my daughter's scalp. I find that castor oil as a scalp treatment stays longer on the scalp.
Works for me. And on average hair grows 1/2 an inch to 2 inches per month. I went from collar bone length to mid back and that took almost a year. Patience is key. Healthy hair will grow in due time.
Hispanic grocery stores are a great place to get the leaves...way cheaper than Publix or something like that....i saw it at Publix for 4.99, but i went to compare foods and it was 1.49....i live in Charlotte NC btw
My dad used to put aloe in me and my sisters hair along with some other stuff but he had our hair so long I'm going to have to go back to his hair growth routine

I cut it open and just apply it to my face. I keep it on for 30 min then wash it off :) I started a week ago and I am seeing a slight difference already . Just did it 3 times ☺️

Here in Finland, we don't have big leaves but I don't let that deter me, as long as it's aloe vera
Thank u so so much Mercy ❤❤❤
I have had a lot of problems with my hair and at one moment I started having empty spaces in my hair . I was so discouraged then and decided to make researches because I heard aloe vera also could help so I typed it on the research bar and ur video was the first to appear so I decided to watch it and this was around the beginning of quarantine. At first I said to my self that she must be bluffing but still gave it a try cos I was really desperate and I did not like ur vid at that time. My hair never touched my back I swear and it was always dry😂 and here I am today after 6 months of daily application of aloe vera juice and rice water with unbelievable results!!! My hair is already below my chest bone!!!!! I am not on social media if not I could send you a pic. Thank u so so so so so so much Mercy!!!God bless you. And came today after wonderful results to thank u!! I keep applying them I don't skip a week without applying at least three to four times a week!!
And u guys who are still out there looking for solutions to hair growth and checking in the comment section for someone to say that it works, hear I am to tell u "IT WORKSSSS"!!!!!

I’ve started watching your channel about a month ago and I’ve never been so satisfied with the information you’ve given us. I love your content and how detailed you are!!
yess! this works so well as a pre-poo. i just posted a video of me using aloe vera on my hair for the first time and I realized how great of a detangled it was!
Hi Mercy I love your videos you teach me a lot about my hair and how to care for my natural hair. As a nurse myself I compliment you on how you balance your life 👏🏽girl you are truly bless and I would love to see more of your natural hair videos... I have my Aloe Vera in the fridge ready for my wash day 🙌🏽...
I started doing the rice water rinse after finding your channel and its working so well for my hair 😭 it feels nice and thick plus I love detangling with rice water. thankyou 😭❤
How do you balance rice water rinse and aloe rinse?
Which one do you prefer if I may ask your opinion? Or anyone reading this comment 🙂
TIP: It's important to separate the latex from the gel, by cuttting the base of the leaf, because the latex contains the bitter, yellow-brown coloured compound aloin , which is a powerful laxative that can cause stomach cramps, diarrhoea if taken orally and that is what that causes the irritation / itchiness.
&&& Standing and leaning it against something for about an hour, so all that yellow drains. Then rinse off that end.
How long u used it?

I love your natural video because I am trying to go natural myself it is now 5 month’s without relaxer
We shouldn't forget that we've deferent genes, some genetically have long hair and others don't
So shouldn't be expecting same growth; in length and texture
Exactly!!!
So true I was thinking the exact same thing when I was looking at her hair.
Indeed, I've been using rice water for hair growth, but it's not really a fast as they display it to be
Bad vibe but still true
Yup and she has a couple of videos claiming extreme hair growth and yeah her hair is already long
I bought the plant today! Well my mom did 🤣. And im so excited I really hope this will work on my hair and my hair be be long and thick bc HONEY her hair is soo Beautiful 😌❤💅🏽
I want my daughter’s hair to grow a lot because she’s experiencing hair loss so I hope it works
Use hair oils too for her scalp like wild growth
Use Maryam Hampton maximum hair oil. It’s pretty expensive but it works.

I'm trying this method and the great thing about it is that I can just pick the aloe vera leaves around the neighborhood choosing the fattest and juicy ones 💃💃
I start using the rice water for my hair and am see the progress I will try the aloe vera next keep up thee good work and may God bless you👌💖💯
Sis after watching your videos and seeing your hair Journey there should be no excuse for black women who say that their hair can't grow and make excuses and say that black hair can't grow your videos will prove them wrong and you are walking proof that is BS and if we take care of our hair and stop slapping chemicals on our hair that are hair actually will Thrive and is capable of growing and being thick so thank you for your videos and I'm so proud of you and your hair Journey you have inspired me and I also am the my hair Journey because For the Longest Time my hair was just shoulder length I want my hair to be as long as yours. Keep up the good work

I had my hair cut about four years ago and since then my hair have not grown it the same length! So I'm following your treatment and see if i can get some thickness and growth.
I use to incorporate aloe as a prepoo before every wash, I stopped. Thinking about it my hair was really nice, gotta get back on this
I am in love with her hair just wish mine could grow to that length although rice water didn't work for me
Rice water can make the hair brittle causing breakage... If you try it again just make sure I moisturize often and use a really good conditioner after you wash out the rice water really well.✌🏾
My question is,after all that process of aloivera, when you wash it you just leave it without blowdring?

I also have natural hair before watching this video's I was all most tired of it but now am trying and it's working thx dear so much
The reason for the itching is the yellow liquid tat secretes from the leaf you have to leave it to soak in water for awhile and the reason why the juice starts to turn pink that naturally happens when air hits it soon it will start to spoil youll have to keep it in the fridge to keep it more fresh freeze into ice cubes
Can we pause and take a moment to appreciate your muscles👏🏽
I love how when she brushes it it doesn't spring back up like mine
Wow Mercy your hair is so beautiful. I love it. It's growing nicely. Mine used to be like this but it's thin, damaged, postpartum thin edges, and suffering from hair loss. Keep it up!!

I am trying to grow aloe Vera at house! I hope it grows because I want my hair grow like yours! 😂❤️❤️😁😁
I just purchased my aloe vera and I'm excited to start this process 😍 Thanks for sharing
Love love your hair tips they are really helpful. Quick question what treatment do you recommend to help with breaking hair?
Im growing my own plant of Aloe and i realized that the itching comes from the "poison" in aloe vera when you cut it. Its actually a strong laxative that can be dangerous in high doses so after i started washing my aloe after i cut it the itching and bad smell is gone!
Your correct🙌
Very beautiful what do you use to keep your hair moisturized. Love to see more videos
Tried this today and I LOVED it! Thank you so much love 😍❤️
Natural hair !! Gurl thank you needed this soooo much ❤ stay safe queen👑
Question: does it really work? and when can you expect to see hair growth results?
Works for me. And on average hair grows 1/2 an inch to 2 inches per month. I went from collar bone length to mid back and that took almost a year. Patience is key. Healthy hair will grow in due time.
@@tiarasmith6174 how often to do it
Also, if you can’t find aloe vera at your local Walmart, try Home Depot.
Hispanic grocery stores are a great place to get the leaves...way cheaper than Publix or something like that....i saw it at Publix for 4.99, but i went to compare foods and it was 1.49....i live in Charlotte NC btw
