I know it's not much, but my hair literally grew 2 inches in three months, and I've NEVER been able to retain length. My hair could barely fit in a ponytail straightened and now at 19, my hair almost passes my chin. I started putting more effort into my hair, and I see growth every 2-3 weeks. I hope to be able to have my hair in a cute puff by the end of the summer. I used to never think I'd be able to have longer hair and while I'm not yet at 12 inches, I've come farther than ever before. Here's what I did:
    1. Deep condition/wash my hair EVERY week.
    2. Apply leave in conditioner and coconut oil on DAMP hair.
    3. Twist up my hair, throw a stylish scarf on, and leave it alone.
These three things have helped me retain more length than I ever had before. I hope it helps you guys.

@@valeriejackson6093 1-2 weeks, whatever works best for you. But even when I'm not taking down my twists, I still let them get a bit wet when I shower everyday. Mercy you are absolutely correct. Leaving the Aloe Vera juice in for 24 hours is a game changer. I have short hair. I got up one morning unbraided my hair to find it brittle and breaking; nothing too drastic. So I did just what you did! I left it in over night, washed it out shampooed and conditioned my hair! I will not wash my hair again for 2 to 3 weeks and follow the same regiment. Bless you, bless you QUEEN! Your videos are a true gift. Love you my dear!

Thank you for this video. It helped me so much. It's been about a year since I have washed my hair. I merely just parted my hair with my fingers & massaged Sea Breeze on the scalp.
I followed the Sea Breeze routine every 3 mos. as my form of cleaning the scalp. I then put my hair in 4 braids.
My hair is so fricking thick and past my shoulders, so it tangles badly. Your Aloe Vera advice helped my hair to detangle before washing. I mixed a TB of moringa powder & an avocado w/my Aloe Vera in a blender. I kept it in my hair for maybe 20 mins and then used my Aphogee Shampoo--braided hair again in 4 braids. I think by SAT, I might flat iron it.
I lost a lot of hair because I became impatient with detangling hair, but trust me my hair was almost fused together B4 the Aloe Vera.
This remedy will now allow me to wash My hair once a month. I struggle with hair because I haven't gone to a salon since this pandemic. I had 2 strokes in 2015, so although I regained maybe 80-85% of my strength, it's challenging to deal with hair. I no longer use hair relaxers since SEP 2018. I'm now all natural. 😪 I do miss that!
Again, thanks for the Aloe Vera tip. . . next time, I'll try leaving in hair overnight!

Yes!!! My hair has went from collar bone length to armpit length because of you and your channel. And I have 4C-Z type hair. I use Aloe Vera and Coconut oil as a pre poo for the night before I wash my hair.

    • @fatimahamid8547

How do you pre poo? I’ve heard of it a lot but don’t actually know how to do it

    • @DW5918
      @DW5918 3 роки тому +22

@@fatimahamid8547 There are many different you can do it. However to break it down. A pre poo is simply applying a treatment or extra step before you shampoo your hair. What Mercy is doing in this video with the aloe would be considered a pre poo.

I find the Felicia Leatherwood brush a little gentler and easier to use than a denman. Also curious, how do you think your hair would have felt if you shampooed and used the aloe vera in place of a conditioner and left it on overnight? You've got me so curious to try this now but my aloe plant isnt big enough!

I use aloe vera as you described and really like it for my hair. I've discovered from using various items to get the aloe vera separated from the skin that a grapefruit spoon works really well. It has serrated teeth but is not sharp like a knife. One still has to be careful using it but I've found that it works really well. Just thought I'd share! :-)

I would usually let my aloe soak, so the latex can come out and won’t cause stomach problems and skin irritations. But i think your method is amazing! Edit: btw the yellow stuff is latex. It’s texture is usually like the aloe
