I actually bought one of those Air-up bottles after I first watched this video when it came out, and I absolutely love it. I used to buy bottles of flavoured water and go through several bottles a week. This thing drastically reduces the plastic waste. I will say, the flavours aren't super strong so anyone expecting something like fruit juice, squash or cordial strength in flavour, you may be disappointed, but the flavour is there. It's saved me a lot of money and a lot of plastic waste... Its bloody great!

The candy organiser is for us, Asians (or more specifically Vietnamese). We have a 3-day Tet holiday (lunar new year) when a lot of guests visit your house. They stay about 15-20 minutes then leave and it's a must to have a tray of candy and treats ready for your guests. So something like that would come in handy. Normally we use the conventional tray with lid but the candy organiser is like an interesting equipment that also impresses the guests a little. You can also cover the candy when there's no guest and open it when someone comes. I'd say it useful, but just not for you guys.
I would buy one with an eye toward trying to find a way to reuse the rings and somehow "recharge" them. Perhaps even a way to just make your own. However, I think the business plan of them involves selling lots of scent rings. Still, finding a way to recharge & reuse the rings you get might really make it worth it. I think the business should alter their business model toward something like a reusable ring and selling concentrated scent fluids in little dropper bottles for many more uses. If they don't, then a competitor will quickly take over their market by doing that.
Ann Other While I love the taste of lemon water, sometimes the acidity can mess with my acid reflux. Tricking my brain into thinking I’m drinking lemon water without the acidity would be a plus.

The reason I love this idea so much is that it wouldn't only be testing their culinary knowledge and skill, but would test them as friends as well. I don't know, just though it was interesting :)
Candy boxes are actually a thing in Lunar New Year celebrations for welcoming guests. We put all sorts of things like roasted seeds, candied fruits and vegetable, and other snacks that typically have some sort of symbolic pun for good luck in the new year. Candy boxes with a twist sound fun and definitely make sense to me. That colour scheme won't cut it though, definitely needs some festive red!

To me, the "candy box" could be a game changer, in many uses around the house. To clean it, I'd wipe out anything sticky or oily, then take it to the shower, open it up, wash it, and turn it upside down in the shower to drain and dry. Definitely useful! I like the newbie chopsticks, too, but that Scoof: if there were abortions for kitchen gadgets, I'd take that one straight to the clinic.
I had something similar to that lemon spigot thing as a child. The end of it was serrated so you could stick it into an orange without cutting the face off. You removed the gadget so you could take out the skin you cut through and it worked really well, without the mess that you guys were experiencing.
My parents got me that 'CANDY BOX' when I was 7ish, I'm 25 now. It was a beads (embroidery) kit advertised for young girls. I still have it somewhere. It's purple and it was from Argos, The Works or WHSmith. Not sure which one. Always wondered what happened to it because it was only sold for a short while but was somewhat popular. (Mine's better, the flower at the top that's used to spin it open was also a mini needle and thread storage section).

That lemon juicer thing actually was the greatest thing as a kid. We used them to cut out the chunk of orange too so it was just the size of the juicer (no over flow). Was the most fun way to drink orange juice, kept us entertained for ages
Yeah the old one we had when I was a kid was metal and had kind of like saw teeth on the end. It cut the hole for you the perfect size.
The candy box actually looks very much like a simpler version of the more elaborate versions used to display special symbolic sweets at Chinese/Lunar New Year! It’s not useless in certain cultures.
That Air Up bottle is something I would love to have!!!
“Who wants to slurp pie?”
Oh Ben, you need to get to know your audience.
Gravy flavour!
Chocolate cake flavor!
I do, but there might be textural issues with pie-scented water, so I'm thinking pie smoothies...
@@MatthewWaltonWalton Yeah I can agree with that.
It is like he said if you are trying to replace soda you want sweet flavors not just citrus
I might actually look into buying one of those air up things.
Same, except it doesn't appear they ship to the US unfortunately
Special place in my heart for chopsticks: my mom, rest her soul, taught us kids to use chopsticks by popping popcorn, laying out a big sheet, and letting us have at it. Worked like a charm!
I’m super glad to see a review of AirUp that’s not a sponsored segment, even if it’s 3 years old and I’m super late to the party.
Love the candy box!! Definitely useful for parties.
Can't get the Air Up shipped to America, it seems.
Side note: pie scent/flavor = hard yes
That's sad. I want one.
Its on Amazon.de you should be able to get shipped from there its what I did to get shipped to the uk.
Also when you buy Check the active conversation rates as when you go to payment amazon will offer you to use there conversation rates. Depending on this you may end up paying more useing Theres or less depending on current rate. I ended up saving my self about £3 pounds by not agreeing to use there conversation rates and just letting my bank deal with it.
@@Lunami Thank you so much for the info!
@@Lunami sadly still refuses to ship to the US. Good find though, might help ppl in other places having ordering issues.

Personal Opinion: possibly due to tariffs or product "type" bans. Trump (*impeached) has tantrums.
@@Caerigna ahh sorry to hear that. I hope helps other people out. And hope it comes out to us soon for you.
High possibility on your opinion.
People in LA are gonna go nuts over the airup, they love that kind of stuff.
Doesn't currently ship to USA. 😥
Except we can't get it! >(
the air up is the first gadget out of all of them that i actually think about buying
It is awesome watching this in 2023 knowing that the air up bottle is so successful. Really happy it took off.
Mike is right. I’ve been using chopsticks for 45 years (I started when I was two) but since a stroke in early 2017 severely reduced functioning in my right hand, these are the only chopsticks I can manage.
Just ordered one of those bottles. Sounds like a really interesting concept so I want to try it!
How do you order them from the UK? The website won't let me
@@TomGordonUK Thank you!
Same ^^ I am way to easily influenced, however if it does work (and the Amazon reviews seem to suggest it does) it might be a great way to drink a bit healthier
6:57 "Two in a PAIR" ayy I got you--but it's not time for dad jokes yet Mike!
Ok I know it’s been awhile but I miss the “butt first” part.
Thank you Mike, for mentioning the mobility impaired.
And thanks to Jamie for mentioning the small children who want to eat like their parents.
As someone who grew up using chopsticks I would not have thought of those uses for the rookie sticks.
I agree with James, that they do not teach you to use chopsticks at all.
I think too the rookie chop sticks would be nice to put in searving dishes for pickles if you're serving family style.
Or if lazy like me and you plonk the pickle jar on the table lol.
Nice job on acknowledging the accessibility benefits on the chopsticks! People often don’t realize that things like snuggies or those springy chopsticks or other as seen on tv items are actually designed to make life more accessible for people with disabilities
I'm only 6 minutes and 19 seconds in, but I can confidently say that the cutest part of this video is James going, "Noooo. Don't be silly."
I love how personally James took all the attacks at candy box 😂
No one:
Not a soul:
Not even Barry who is leaving a hob on:
Jamie: PIE FLAVOURED WATER
But he's right
If it's all an olfactory facade, then bring on the steak dinner with an amazing red zin and finish it with dark chocolate... to save on carbs, f the potato flavored water.
Jamie being a Certified 100% Organic Free-Range Dad (tm) is my favourite thing in any video ever aw he reminds me of my dad
I got the air up bottle 2 years ago for Christmas and I love it! Now I get new pods for birthday and Christmas and it has really helped me increase my water intake.
I absolutely love when you do these videos. I love them so much, that and James reaction to things and the fact he is, very slowly, losing all hope. Can't wait for the next episode of this or Pretentious Food
'Who wants to slurp on pie?'
*Dean Winchester has entered the chat room.*
I love how Supernatural just appears on so many different things 😍 ^^ it's everywhere :O^_^
Laughed so hard at Ben saying "you can nail anything... with a pair of chopsticks" and Mike's reaction that I had to pause the video and use my inhaler, that Bennuendo triggered an asthma attack, cheers!
This show is money🖤. 5 silly talented lads being lads. Nothing is better for your soul. Completely lovely!
Lovely video again! More reviews ASAP!!
I love how Mike just can’t even throughout the whole video 😂
If one had lots of room, I could see the candy thing being used for whole spices.
The spices would take on flavour from each other

@@lauraholliday9343 I believe James has several cats, so that would put him first 😂
Elizabeth aww! Jamie also likes cats as he took Ben and Mike (who hate them) to the cat cafe in Edinburgh which made me think of it!
AirUp has 100% now got me as a customer. No more cordial for me. Appreciate that one guys, thanks
Nice to comment on this knowing the air up bottle is doing its thing 3 years later!!
I love the LOL towards the end of the video, makes me laugh every time.
To me, the "candy box" could be a game changer, in many uses around the house. To clean it, I'd wipe out anything sticky or oily, then take it to the shower, open it up, wash it, and turn it upside down in the shower to drain and dry. Definitely useful! I like the newbie chopsticks, too, but that Scoof: if there were abortions for kitchen gadgets, I'd take that one straight to the clinic.
i am definitely not the first to say this, and i certainly won’t be the last, but james is adorable
Re: the scoof thing: my family's always had a designated sieve for coffee grounds & loose tea leaves. Makes cleanup a breeze.
You just pour the water away with the plunger down and then shake the grounds into a bin, dont you?
Same! A reusable one, then you can use the grounds to repel ants, or mix with coconut oil for a scrub. Coffee is expensive y'all. I'm not putting it in the trash.
@@genevieve6983 I sometime put my grinds in my plants, to give them more than just water.
@@genevieve6983 How little coffee do you drink? Or how many ants do you have? If I saved my used coffee grounds my house would be flooded with them.
@@rdizzy1 One cup a day at home, 257 at work! My house is clean, I just live in a place with MAJOR ant invasions every year and a large perimeter to cover.
"Who wants to slurp pie?" Evidently, Jamie. There are places that make apple pie ice cream shakes.
Lol, I was thinking more of a steak pie.
@@explicitbrainjuice6545 Only if one's jaw is wired shut. Any other time steak pie must be able to be eaten.
Chefs means we get James, and everyone knows James is Best Boy ♥️
The air up thing is pretty awesome. I'd love to see more flavours.
The candy box would be good for organizing craft supplies.
