I had the same issue as a kid though to be fair 😂. Though it didn’t take long to realise people where talking exclusively about the top half of the object.

She's right though, whether or not something turns "right" or "left" depends on your orientation to it. And the bottom of the circle is going in the opposite direction. So if the thing you have to turn isn't presented to you like a doorknob, it can be hard to tell what to do with it. And then there are things that go together the other way.

pots and pans #1 I believe Sohla has only been at BA for about 10 months. #2 It took so much courage for her to come out with it now and she could have lost her job if she did it at the wrong moment. She did it in the wake of a racial/cultural revolution in the country, and after BA’s editor in chief was revealed as leading discriminatory workplace practices and having a racist history. We should be praising Sohla for bringing these important issues to light and promoting racial equality.
While that is important - I would hope that people would extend this concern to all people. Frankly, the policies and attitudes that have been described at BA are pretty indicative of similar industries - that does not excuse it obviously but this is a part of US corporate culture.

Funny how Claire has Gourmet Makes, Brad has It's Alive, Chris has Reverse Engineering, Carla has Back-To-Back Chef, Molly has Molly Tries, Delany has Trying Everything and Amiel has Almost Every, but neither Sohla, Priyah, Rick, Gaby or Christina has their own show. With the exception of Andy, anyone else notice a theme regarding who at BA gets to have their own show?
I mostly only watch Gourmet Makes because I find Claire's process quite fascinating, but really everyone at the BA test kitchen has such wonderful personalities. You all seem like such fantastic people that I'd love to just get to hang out with.
