Mike, I solved this problem for my wife with about 5 J-hooks mounted in my garage ceiling and a spot on wall to hang handle. Less than $10 solution and she doesn’t have to unwind anything, no backing over cable, and no repositioning cable to charge. 15 min install to put the 2-3 inch hooks in studs. Just drill a tiny starter hole and screw in by hand. About $1.50 per hook.

I had some similar ideas and using large carabiners to the j hooks
Save a few hundred bucks by installing the charger right by the panel, then spend a few hundred bucks on an ugly arm to solve the problem you created for yourself. Genius.

The arm used to be longer in their version 1. Then they went and released an updated version and made the arm shorter...
Which was a wrong move
I bought the first gen EV hover which has a tri-fold arm and metal loop to secure the cable, reaches to my charge port on the opposite side.
I wish they kept the 3 arms!
@@MikeSeuss it’s nice to have the longer reach the tri-fold swing arm can be a pain sometimes and takes a good amount of space in a single car garage. Hope they make it longer for gen 3, if not I’ll be taking it with me when selling or renting out my place.

I have a lowered car and a front lip, my car scrapes when entering by reverse
The cost of this product could've been used to install the charger at the center of the garage so the cord is always short no matter which car you charge.

That depends entirely on how far you need to install the charger away from the breaker box.

@@MikeSeuss Damn, I love your setup, just got a 3 Performance last monday, was about to start shopping for lowering it and different rims/tires. Do you mind if I ask how drastic of an angle driveway are you scraping on?
Now that Tesla has no sensors anymore, and with Tesla Vision being nowhere near accurate, I'd be afraid to back it into a garage...
Come on man , this looks awful, flimsy and so ugly , I prefer to plug then when I’m done wrap it around the connector, I never buy such thing , if I want to use zip ties definitely can come with better idea 😊
