Have to say that is such a crisp looking case at 10:48 with the blue lighting and the white finish. It looks like it would generate cold very difficult to imagine it could be a heat source.
Great review. Love that you modded it to make the 3x 140s work. I think your points of removable fan brackets is super valid. If the case was maybe 1-1.5" or 3cm taller the 3x 140mm fans would be no prob AND you'd def not run into issues with doing a push/pull + thicker rad on the bottom.
really good value chassis that, I havent seen antec in years - very low profile. If this is a new design its a sure fire sign of better things to come, I hope.
Hey there KitGuru! Amazing review. I just bought the Antec C8 Curve which has the same chasis, with the new Corsair LX 140mm 3x for the side intake, unfortunately I'm unable to plug the connector from both sides because I don't have enough place, but apparently you managed to do it. May I ask how did you do it? Thank you in advance!
Cant say ive had very good experiences with Antec back in the day, loved some of their very early stuff. This actually looks like quite a good case, but if anyone has current experience please do let me know.
I like it. Building something in a case like that, but Custom loop. The 200mm Reservoir+Pump combo i purchased just clears my Sapphire PURE 7900 GRE GPU. I'm stoked.
As the top has 70mm clearance and fixings for 3 x 140mm fans, does the Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer III 420 fit? It should have around 65mm depth with the radiator and fan, and being 420 it should be the same size as 3 x 140mm. Antec do officially state max is 360 AIO radiator, but this doesn't mean this is fact, just that they cover themselves by not committing as some 420's may need a few millimeters more.
James nice review and case, the fans of the AIO are exhaust configuration or pulling air? and the top fans and bottom seems to be pulling air is that right?
Not much, honestly. I have the C8 Wood Curved and it's an absolutely stunning case. The curved glass panel fits perfectly flush with its adjacent panels, and the method engineered for removing and replacing it is what I might expect from a case running an extra $100. I'm not sure why the curved model went down to only supporting two 2.5" drives and one 3.5" drive, compared to the non-curved models, such as the one in this video, which offer four 2.5" drives and one 3.5" drive - it seems like an odd decision to make for what js presumably the premium trim/model. Luckily, I was able to get a 3.5" to two 2.5" drive conversion bracket from Corsair on Amazon for ~$5, so I have my four 2.5" drives regardless. Sacrificing the 3.5" drive is no real loss - HDDs are basically dead when it comes to everything besides massive capacity NAS devices, cold storage, and drives over 15TB anyway. I thini it would be cool to have some options for Antec supported case mods similar to what Lian Li does with the O11. I actually stumbled upon this video after Google searching "Antec c8 case mods." I'm about to start my build with the C8 using a Ryzen 9 9950x and the Radeon RX 9070xt once AMD finally decides to release the damn thing instead of intentionally playing second fiddle to nVidia and delaying it so that they can guage the 5070 and 5070 Ti reception first (AMD, we're going to be severely underwhelmed, same as with the 5080 and 5090; if anything, the 5070 Ti will get the most interest considering it's basically a 5080, only receiving slightly lower binned chips with less cores). Anyway, I'm going to run a custom dual-loop water cooling system in this case - one loop for the CPU, VRM, and M.2 SSDs, and one loop for the GPU, northbridge/southbridge chipsets, and RAM - I'd love a more simple solution for mounting a distribution plate reservoir with a D5 pump "on" the front face glass panel. I'm probably going to get a radiator bracket of some sort and attach it to either a side, bottom, or top fan between the case bracket and the radiator in that position. Otherwise, I'll need to construct it so that the hardline fittings themselves are what holds the distro plate up, but I'm not sure that's the move. I've seen some photos online of someone who did something very similar to this using the C8 Wood Curve and had it displayed at Computex 2024. The pictures were close enough to be able to see how fantastic it looked, but just far enough away that I couldn't make out their bracket solution for securing their distro plate to the front. In a perfect world...
Cool mod!! I saw in the specs that this case also supports 160mm fans. In this case, only two instead of three on the top and bottom. What would be better, two 160mm fans or three 140mm fans, considering the temperature/airflow/noise ratio? Could you test it?
Just one point of clarification, the bottom panel also supports the option for 2x160mm fans, in addition to the 120mm and 140mm support…by removing the optional brackets entirely. There is a SKU that comes with two 160mm Antec fans on the bottom, and a 140 on the rear.
My first PC was in an Antec Sonata case (Most of it still is! 🙃); I should probably check this one (and some of their other recent stuff too) out. Build looks good, thanks for the mod tips too; 'Ronseal' of Approval as always.

Great video!! Just wanted to ask if it fits the new Liquid Freezer III 280 A-RGB since its thickness is bigger than normal 280 Aios. It is 67.5mm. Please Help!! I already have returned few cases haha.
These o11 style cases really cry out for you to make use of all the fan mounting areas in order for it to look it's best. But the problem I have with this... It's horrendous overkill. Even with the hottest components you only really need a decent case, a few good fans and an capable AIO. You've got 10 fans in there! And with Rgb, I suppose you could lend it out whenever someone needs lighting for a rave 😂
When you test the rigidity of unsupported top corner of the case, do so without a radiator / fans mounted. You comparison to the HYTE case isn't all that accurate due to extra rigidity that the radiator contributes to Antec.
Appreciate it! This may seem like an inconsequential metric to some, but for those who want to do custom watercooling with rigid tubes and a top radiator, case rigidity really does matter. Love the build and getting the 3rd 140 fan at the top on the side really makes this case shine. That's a 100% necessary modification IMO! @@KitGuruTech
