Antec has come a long way. At some point I felt they were going to be phased out from other competitors but look what they are doing! My last Antec purchase was some fans from 2006 lol. I'm considering this case now for my next build.

With the fans on the inside-case side of the radiators, a few mounting slats on the opposite side of the radiator won't be an issue. Only an issue if you are going all air and are putting fans right up against them, as they can introduce some noise.

I appreciate that the bottom grates open up to the full fans, but as you say the idea is half assed, since it doesn't apply to the other intakes/outakes that have the ugly and inefficient support bars. Everything else could be comparable to the market for the price but IMO the point of dual chamber is style and function maximized, and while this case has a +1 on run of the mill function, this case lacks style. the Chassis design is very derivative and the fans on every side are a mismatched hodpodge of size clearances so it is very hard to make them look good without resorting to smaller fans or fillers, ugly gaps, or forgoing the main sell, the 160s, in the first place.
Small-ish nitpick as well, top IO on a case that should obviously be on a desk is just screwing around for no reason, front facing IO is bare minimum, bottom IO is preferable, and left corner IO is ideal and that's something the O11s already have, why regress if you are going to copy is what I'm saying?
Not to mention the front USB C is still 10Gbs, like CMON, its one of the few things even the most premium cases don't have yet I assumed due to timing, but Mobos have surpassed 10Gbs USB C for a while now, when are cases going to catch up??

It might not be the "first" Antec dual chamber case. I've had an Antec P50 Micro ATX Chassis since 2016 though it's not exactly like the current batch of dual chamber cases being marketed today.

Nice to see some bigger fans than 140mm or pitty 120mm fans support (this is ridicules in 2024 to support only 120mm fans!) I'm still waiting with my O11 Air mini to get proper successor, instead another copycats.
HEAR ME OUT if you want to be unique, first gets my attention (manufacturer)
    - Front ventilated panel (not necessary mesh)
    - Dual chamber layout like here (still, there is nothing unique, perfect formula wasnt yet composed)
    - 180 or 200mm FRONT fans support
    - 140,180mm bottom fans support.
    - Dust filters on every intake
    - 140mm fan support on the back
    - No crappy plastic fasteners for side and top panels (just use screws like O11 Air mini - its best and simplest solution that WONT BRAKE)
    - Proper distance between bottom and floor level for proper intake from bottom.
    - I/O PANEL ON THE FRONT, not on top. People put those cases on desk. Of someone want to put them on floor, he got 100 other O11 copycats to choose.
Why so big fans? Remember Torrent case? Even additional magnetic covers for top panel would be apreciated. If you will make case like this, it will outsell all those fishtanks, and airflow lowers will simply praise you for decades.

No apparent spot to place a peg GPU support stand.
I bought the Fractal North (not the XL) in glass-charcoal. My PowerColor Hellhound 7900XTX is too long for the case with my choice of AIO. Top fans now intake with my Arctic LFII 280 front mounted with the front dust filter removed so the AIO would fit. A 240 is listed as top max size with 280 for the front. Arctic AIO is just that bit too thick. Thicker fans along with thicker radiators, while they can be more effective, pose fitment issues. Suggestion for case reviews: Show if the thicker fans/radiators fit or like that one case video of yours, you have to jury-rig the installation as I had to do.
I do like the look of both cases: the Fractal North and the Montech King 95. Will let you know how well, or not, the parts fit in the King 95.

I know they say they can do 3x 360mm rads but I want to see someone build with those radiators to see how easy or hard it is to route the tubing and fan clearance. I have a suspicion that you can't install 3 radiators at once. The top and side might be hard without soft tubing or using a 90d fitting if the end tank of the top radiator is toward the front of the case and not the rear and the side has its end tank on the top. The motherboard might be sitting too low so a bottom radiator with full-height fans might block the bottom of the motherboard and possibly the bottom PCIE slot.

*1 just for having a toolbox. Good to see companies other than just Phanteks doing that. +2 for the separator. -1 for not allowing for 420mm rads. I can't see if the front panel connector is that atrocious combined this so +0. +0 For the 160mm fan options though. Nobody's really buying that size and the options for the fans are pretty slim too. I bet Antec's own 3-pack of Storm T3 is better than two 160 fans.
Looks like this case is really just for air cooling or at the most an AIO for the CPU, which kinda explains it not having removable brackets. Can't remember what problem this is fixing though. The separator is really the only thing worth talking about.

  • @leftcoastfunk
    @leftcoastfunk 5 місяців тому

Is there enough clearance (length) for 420mm radiators? Huge pet peeve of mine when case manufacturers accommodate 3x140mm fans without being able to fit 420mm rads. Also, they've seen how weird this looks with two 160mm fans, right? The fans look great themselves but don't fill the length of the case which just looks super awkward lol. I would have been happy if they made the case a bit longer, accommodating 3x160mm fans to fill the space which would look more aesthetically pleasing, and then could take eATX boards too. I feel like they missed the mark to be honest. This should have been two cases. One slightly smaller, where two 160mm fans would more cleanly fill the space, but not big enough for 3x140, and another larger case with 3x160 and eATX. Idk it just feels a bit awkward and off to me
Otherwise, I'm actually a little confused about what "dual chamber problem" this case "fixed"??? Sure it's a little different here and there from some other dual chamber cases, but nothing here is super innovative other than maybe the different fan mount brackets for the bottom intake. The NV7 and 9 have a lot more truly innovative and useful features than this tbh

@@ventilate4267They are easier to build in by leaps and bounds. Good ones have more CPU clearance which is important for both GPUs and CPUs now with the new connectors not handling stress well. 170mm+ is usually reserved for dual chambers, or things like a couple NZXTs. Dual chamber does not mean "showcase" pc it just means it has two chambers. The footprint on the desk is different depending on model, and is useful for some things. As an example, an o11 air mini can fit in a 19" server rack on a tray when laid on its side. Great for HTPCs.
They've been popular for quite a while before the glass fad. We've even had horizontal variants. But most of them have flaws or extremely poor design choices that heavily limit parts choices. The closest you get is something like an o11 air mini, but even it has pretty limited PSU support given we're now looking at using 1kw or greater PSUs to handle things like 4090s. Those higher end PSUs are quite long with rare exceptions like the Seasonic Vertexes.
Then you get things like the o11 dynamic air which is a downgrade from previous versions in some ways -- like CPU clearance or needing an additional kit to have front mesh.

Wait... if it can fit three 140mm fans at the top, but it can't fit a 420mm radiator, then what's the point? That means you can only use three 140mm fans at the top if you're air cooling, but if you did that, you would eject air from the case before it reaches the air cooler. It also would've been better if the side intake fans could be 140mm, since they are the only ones in this case that are limited to 120mm.

I hate that there isn't a 6 fans included option, also this looks to have good clearance above the motherboard which so overlooked by reviewers for some reason.
Do you guys thinks black motherboard and gpu would look good in white cases?

so here's a 300 iq suggestion for a case suitable for those who don't like the asymmetrical "look at my pc from left side" . what if the cable management chamber was situated at the bottom of the case and the motherboard was positioned horizontally and the top had plenty of space for aio and a massive outlet fan like xbox series x ? wow

I'd never buy those aquarium or boxy cases. They are absolutely too big for my desk and extremely inefficient in space distribution. They are also taking up the spot for possible improvement in regular case improvements. I really wanted the concept Morpheus from Deepcool to launch instead.
That dual chamber concept would only be interesting if it adopted the 1U atx psu standard size. A partnership with a PSU maker for newer more efficient and less noisy (due to tiny fan) psus to fit in such space would need to be made. It would also be just right to fit at least two, maybe up to 4 regular 3.5 hard drives behind the motherboard without increasing the thicknes of the case that much. If such design could end up being less than 25cms wide, than I'd consider buying one such case.

Can anyone confirm if the Antec C8 Seamless Edge Front and Side Full Tower E-ATX Case supports a 360mm or 420mm liquid cooler radiator on top? I’m planning my build and want to make sure the radiator fits. Thanks!

So many comments talking about how it's better to not try to copy the competition and just try to innovate constantly. Are you guys crazy? You expect every manufacturer to only try to come up with a new design each year that no one has ever seen? You know how hard that is? Is it wrong to try to have your own take on a type of product that already exists?

OMG!!! white case sells the same price as black? What kind of world is there in your place? Don’t you know that white paint is more expensive? I am here in a world-renowned semiconductor manufacturing country: Taiwan, All white PC parts here are 3 dollars more expensive than black ones.

Pleased with my Antec c8(BLACK no fans), manage to put my old corsair TX850 bronze watt non modular behind. a real octopussy (un till 3.1 psu be ready), pwm antec 10 fan splitter .one ssd, and all that with air duct. 3 140 HS 1800 PWM rpm be quiet 3 silent wings on side, (Important-There is no holes for third 140 fan but it stays very firm on two bottom holes). Three bottom be quit 140 1200 rpm, one on the back and one on roof. Minor nitpick, when you mount hard drive disc cage, screws are so tiny and fragile -can't hold cage with two drives in it so I used a pci-e gpu slot screws . Very nice case, firm, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I just got this case and finished building in.. and after not even 1day Im going to sand it back.. temperature are outrageous, +12C cpu and +8C gpu higher, compared to my old Lianli o11 air mini...
Build quality is awesome but there is something wrong with air turbulence inside this case I dont know but all temp are high.. very disappointed

That's weird. I bought the C8 and experienced the same temps as my old PC case (Abkoncore C650). How many fans did you fit into the case? Also I live around the tropics, am used to seeing CPU temps at 65-70° and GPU temps going up to 75°.

Does anyone know if this will fit the arctic freezer 3 in the top 360mm version? because its a thicker rad than normal AIOs plus the fans, it wont fit into the NZXT h6 flow that I wanted... this seems a good alernative if it can take the 360mm freezer 3

    • @MrYinzone

after building 2 youtubergrade RGB gaming pc's
i wil no longer do that.
instead i wil go full sleeper build and save at least 400 euro for choosing non rgb stuf and a cheap case that i wil hide after i made it
the amount of extra money to put leds on everything is insane.
both builds, first thing i did was make a dim profile.
and all the airflow gibbergabber is mostly nonsense it just needs a simple breeze on the right spot and ALL fans do that
i have 9! corsair rbg fans and 3 more non rgb in the back, my pc would have worked and performed the same if i went with just 4 or 5 fans

  • @dvxAznxvb

Next year we sold just get brackets as a case cause at this point we just need that modularity to put AIOs around a mobo then just a random psu 200mm cage
