They tend to believe an earnest example better than ridicule, too, and like positive feedback quite a lot. She came from a place of love, and that's an unfortunately rare perspective from people on the job or towards strangers. Besides, I'm a creature of hate. The more I hate things, the more I want to solve the problem. I hate animals being abused, so I adopt difficult animals. I hate children going hungry, so I've donated a couple hundred to the food bank, a couple times. I hate how detached and dishonest people can be, so I try to be genuine, even if it's not happy, so that I may have a shot at planting a seed that will help the person grow their awareness. That last one causes problems, you see. There are some humans who have no *willingness* to change themselves, believing themselves to be "above that way of thinking", and *those* ones can't be helped. I want to solve my hatred, to be content, and I can't help someone who wants the drama of living in that world. But I am not bothered by hatefulness, it's my "normal" to feel that way. By empathizing with the emotion, and following the flow, I can cause *some* folks to think along new channels, like with "to hate something, you have to care about something. What is it you care about that makes you hate so much?" The answer for me is you. All of you. I'm so angry and hateful because of how we, as a species, keep hurting eachother and destroying eachother's future world for personal petty gains. That means I'm angry at the people who are hurting the ones I love, and very nearly everyone is hurting someone, whether by an unwillingness to get involved, or an unwillingness to take a hit to stop someone else get floored by random life. So I hate everyone because I love everyone. It reminds me that I'm no better than anyone, not knowing any answers for certain, but I've put my heart into trying.

It's the same thing with any other type of phobia. A hundred thousand years ago, our ancestors learned that what they didn't understand, could be dangerous enough to kill them. So, an innate primal fear was evolved into us as a defense mechanism. The problem is that humans from a hundred thousand years ago weren't meant to, nor did they, live in a society. They lived mainly solitary tribal lives with small closely knitted communities. We have evolved beyond that, and must continue to strive to evolve our primitive brains beyond petty racial discrimination.

Exactly so many ppl wanna hold onto their pride rather than admit when they're wrong. There's times to be proud (of the right things) and there are times to admit when you're wrong. Being able to distinguish the difference and carry out both of those things is not only part of being a mature adult but also part of being a decent human being.
A real man admits his mistakes. A real man corrects his mistakes. A real man knows what he did wrong and when to correct himself.

What is it you care about that makes you hate so much?"
The answer for me is you.

Racism is a defense mechanism that is caused by unexpected events leading to anxiety.

@wp1488 Idk as us (whites) - but not all of us - just the racist ones.
That is the right question.
My white probation officer was an angel. (I'm black) She actually cared about me doing better and getting on the right path. She wasn't just trying to put me back in prison. I'm now off of probation after five years and I'm enrolled in college about to finish my bachelor's degree this fall.
2021-12-08 UPDATE : I'll be finish with school Summer 2022. I'll be graduating the following Fall with a Bachelor's of Science in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. Thank you for all the positive comments. Just want other people who've been 'down-and-out' to know that I used to bathe in hotel and gas station bathrooms and sleep in my car.
Congratulations! :)

That's great to hear! Good luck with everything!

This only proves that hate is taught not born with. Any racist person that full of hate that what your life is. They are never truly happy.

Emma White yes they can
Сухопутні Війська України I have a question. Are you actually racist or is this a troll. If it’s not a troll then why are you racist and who are you racist against. I’m Caucasian btw.
Emma White he’s a troll. He doesn’t actually believe the stuff he’s saying. Just ignore him and move on :)

They actually got married after this was filmed. Google it. Incredible!

She didn’t back off because of his past hatred. She taught him about being a good human.
Her lesson was "if I don't act like a victim. neither should" Now get out there and act like a human being!
Imagine if all people thought that way. Instead, we have liberals cancelling anything that could potentially hurt someone's feelings.

@@SAINTxSZN ''Yes all racist should be cancelled if they want to treat people like trash they should be treated as such. You sound like a moron.'' Yeah let's not be civil and have a real talk on perspective, let's not be the best version of ourselves that we can be to spread love to others in the hopes of spreading it through them, nah let's say ''X buzzword people are bad and therefore must be destroyed!'' like a programmed bot!
You're so funny. You're looking at evidence of how to treat the hateful, how to show them the other side and bring them around on ideas that disgusted them once, and yet you remain stuck in your own bubble of hatred. You're exactly the same person Michael was, just on the other end of the spectrum. Think about that. I hope you meet your own Tiffany one day.

I feel like a lot of people don't understand just how hard it is to change your views on something like this, especially at his age. NOBODY should be dismissing this by saying "you shouldn't be praised for not being racist". I respect this guy a lot.

I went there and protested against him and his group. Years later I heard he met a black woman, fell in love and turned completely around. Even started a family together. A man can only admit when he was wrong and ask forgiveness
yet, Liam Neeson is getting backlash still. I wonder why he can’t get the same positiveness after he admitted to a past mistake.
Like when you see people halo role playing on UA-cam
Elvis Pacheco because he has a bigger platform than this random dude
Courtnye Pinto but at the end of the day he admitted to not doing any harm and catching himself thinking in a vengeful and hateful matter. I think he realized the wrong in it and became a better man. So even though he became a better person and came out to the world to show that people can change and apologize for thinking this way long ago people still cant accept? When will an “apology” be accepted and not filtered over a mistake?
There's nothing to forgive, my Lord.
What an incredible story. Redemption, forgiveness, and change are paramount to humanity. Without it, there is no progress. There is no hope.
